My son came home rambling about Undertale and how the music is inspiring. Did this game get some new release or a big update because him and all his friends are enthusing about it now.

Basically it's Toby Fox next game, sort of in the same universe as Undertale
All the love for Ralsei makes me wonder how the community's gonna react if he's secretly the main antagonist or something.
With Asriel, we had to deal with his evil villain/flower side before we knew about his tragic backstory and friendly personality.
But with Ralsei...we got the friendly prince with the tragic kingdom story right away...
I will cry and die inside at the same time if anything happens to him, but it's kinda obvious that something bad will happen.
I would be all for it. I am, obviously I don't want him to be a bad guy but it is a ballsy move and I think Toby could handle it well.
you have to personally strangle him, via gameplay, to death. He'll either die struggling or smiling depending on how you treated him.

I dunno if it's shippable, but this is pretty cute.
I'm still questioning if it's even possible to die in the dark world, because if someone gets downed it's still possible to get them back with normal heal items without having to use a revive mint or something.
I dont think death of a character will actually happen but instead the ways to see the character will be broken, like if the supply closet stops working as a way to get there.

I think "o no Ralsei is evil n now you need to kill him" is far too obvious an end for that character.
tbh most of the speculation ive seen around ralsei, especially between him being EvIL and him being SeCreTlY AsRiEl seem to be really boring and I hope toby wont take those routes.

Asriel is gonna be Jim Jones and you're the only one that has wikipedia and literacy. The stakes are high, education is at an all time low, is Kris a bad enough dude to stop Jonestown 2?
I still think Ralsei and the dark world is a manifestation of Kris's imagination as it mimics the classroom they end up in. A make believe scenario he had as a young kid, with some people representing people in the real world. Ralsei can be summed up as the positive traits his big brother had. He's likely wearing Kris's horns from when he wanted to be a monster too, as I don't think it's coincidence that Toriel brings them up and then says he lost them a long time ago, and Ralsei mentions appearing in the dark world and being alone for a long time before Kris/Susie arrive. Plus the whole anagram thing. The king represents someone that was scary to him at that time. He has parallels to all of the bad qualities of Susie. He even states line for line her remark that quiet people piss her off. But I don't think he's the representation of how he saw susie...but probably her father or mother. I doubt susie's attitude just came about of itself. Consequently as the child of the king, Lancer represents younger Susie, which is why she gets along with him so well. No one in the dark world likes Lancer. And susie was always shunned by the other classmates. They're both lazy and prefer quick and easy solutions to thinking things through.
And I've mentioned this before, but Gerson used to teach before he died. My thoughts are that he was Kris's teacher during that time, and the legend that talks about banishing angel's heaven is referring to young Kris wanting to get his teacher back since the concept of death is difficult for young children to grasp.(It might also explain why you can't kill anyone in the dark world) The people in DR are a bit more religious than UT, and the angel has always been part of the Deltarune itself, hence the name Angel's Heaven.
Why did Kris's imagination manifest? Not sure, but since Kris is a vessel, I'm assuming it's related in some way.
PS As a small addendum, I think Rouxls is Berdly. How fitting that he's an idiot.
I think Ralsei will just simply die, and we wont be able to use dark world food and revive mints to get him back tigether, so the game will once again tell us we have no choice and we will just have to live with his demise
