Drove his truck through 6 human orphanages
I think that this time it's gonna be Toriel's fault that they separated. This time, it's Asgore that's left their home to go in a rundown place. This time, it's Asgore that has difficulties being with his children, as they'd rather be far away from him. The situation is all topsy-turvy.
maybe he's like Captain Willard from Apocalypse Now. He gets home from Vietnam and he's so fucked up from his first tour so he's like "I hardly said a word to my wife until I said yes to a divorce." Don't fuck with Asgore 2, cause cop fish waifu lady doesn't have a chance when Asgore 2 goes First Blood up in this shit
Swedish translation has now been done. I'm so happy I managed to get it working! lang_se.json

I assumed it was just that Agore got all the human souls, without the involvement of chara.

I'm more under the impression that the monsters were never locked underground in this reality. I also think that the player character is more likely an alternate version of the first human, rather than Frisk. What with the creepy behavior and all...
Nah nah nah, it was totally because Asgore cooked up poor Asreil’s Yoshi eggs and not pedicide.
Damn Rad really didn't seem very enthusiastic through out that whole review seemed like he rushed it to just push it out and get it out of the way. Wondering if the nagging fans didn't get to him on this one and decided to not delve into it as much as he does with his other reviews. He does raise some good points though.
Bet they smelled weird.
Haha
I mean it's not like cheating on someone you love is impossible. It happens quite often in reality. I just can't think of anything else someone like Asgore could have done in this setting to make someone like Toriel not only break up with him but absolutely hate him as well. I also thought that maybe a different version of Undertale happened in this universe and that he did the whole soul thing here too but then I remember the whole reason he got pushed over the edge to do it was because Asriel died which didn't happen in this game.
What if it was Toriel who had an affair?
Wonder who it was that she "befriended"

Pretty sure it's related to the flowers he's still keeping. They're mementos of something and not for sale either. He's very protective of them. And from UT, you can tell he has a terrible time of letting go of guilt, as he was protective of the souls and planned to give the kids a proper burial. He's in a guilt spiral in DR too. His entire store and responses screams of someone beating themselves up for something and believing they deserve it. It also seems a bit odd that there are no other humans. Just Kris. In fact there are no references at all to other humans, and the only tv shows referenced are of monsters. But it's unlikely that he used the killing 7 humans to shatter the barrier plan in this timeline unless Toriel was totally cool with it this time. The cafe bunny mentions that they all used to go to the cafe on Sundays, so they were already out of the Underground(If they were even sealed away this time) when Toriel and Asgore split. One other big mystery is...why doesn't Kris seem to have a soul? Humans can't absorb human souls after all, so how'd ours get in? Gaster or whoever the beginning narrator is says we're looking for a vessel, and those can hold human or monster souls(Flowey was one). So is Kris a vessel? And if so, how'd that happen?
I can only see "evil Kris" doing that, because the lack of a SOUL means the lack of compassion, empathy, and… something else.
Something to note, when you get the key to go unlock Jevils door you are given a "Use the key" choice, no matter what you pick the door opens anyway. I would not be surprised if all the choices in game result in the same outcome just with slightly different flavour text.
There is somewhat of a different outcome if you manage to spare all enemies: At the end of the fight against the King of Spades, Lancer overthrows him with the help of the guards and he is carried away by them, while otherwise he just gets put to sleep. That seems like it should have different consequences -- though it could depend entirely on what happens next. Sucks that the full game seems to be years off still.
Yeah, I'm sort of expecting the full game to continue that trend where you're railroaded along the story and just suddenly, the flip is switched and all your choices through all the chapters matter.
I must say that the only things I need right now with my Swedish translation is a data.win with modified settings for the fonts, which is adding support for more characters in them. Too bad I know absolutely shit about it, and TTFFonts.csx included with UndertaleModTool is of no use to me at the moment… Basically stumped, but I guess patience is the key.
I can't pinpoint why but Asgore is always my favorite. Dude can't get a damn break.
