New lizard lord's start is pretty damn brutal, even in Mortal Empires. Just so much corruption from all directions. Also I have no idea how to build him, he's like a battle mage type I guess?
Total War Reddit reports 2 new DLC listings on SteamDB for Total War Warhammer 2

Total War Warhammer II
Community guesses seem to be here there and everywhere.
Their marketing people said on reddit that the only thing left for Warhammer II is lord packs, might be more of those. I know the Empire and the Orks are both slated for reworks too
So no Araby? that's a shame
There's still a whole other game coming to be fair
Been seeing some speculation and (very) hopeful wishing that the upcoming lord packs may include Legendary Lords for old-world factions for Eye of the Vortex like the Southern Realms Sudenburg/New World Colonies Bretonnian Crusaders, Lustrian/Badlands Savage Orcs, Naggaroth Beastmen, etc...
However unlike it is (very), it would be cool if the upcoming Empire rework was bundled with a southern realms Legendary Lord.
Hey peeps, wanted to ask a q about warhammer 2:
I've understood it that getting a minor settlements main building to 3 along with defensive building to 3 gives you walls (as is said by that building chain "this provides walls to your settlement".
I've noticed this when attacking other factions, if they had those building chains in a minor settlement i would fight a siege fight, albeit in smaller scale of course.
Every single time I've been attacked in a settlement, I've NEVER got to fight inside the walls. I'm always forced out. Why is that?
The garrison building has to be at the second tier to get walls, and the actual settlement has to be attacked (not an army outside the settlement). Some factions like Bretonnia (may just be them) just get the walls automatically. Some factions (like Norsca and Wood Elves) don't get walls in minor settlements at all. You don't get walls if you are attacking the besieging army.
in warhammer 2 they have to be 3rd tier even, and im making sure of that. I did notice in a case or two it was my bad and I had left it at level 2, but there are still some occasions where I've been forced to fight outside, even when they initiate. Maybe I've just been unlucky.
I think Bretonnia Settlements get free walls at T3, but besides that, everyone else needs to get the garrison structure.
Been listening to the Three Kingdoms soundtrack a load recently, these tracks are just so good!

Byzantines have resolved the schism in Christianity in my Medieval 2 campaign - by taking over the Papacy.
Three Kingdoms was released today. It got superb reviews on Steam so I decided to get it. Curious how it is. I like the setting.
First impressions after 3-ish hours: Its fucking great.
I really like the massive improvements to the grand campaign portion of the game, my only complaint so far is that the interface can be cluttered in battle with all the banter going on but this can be toggled off.
Cavalry in 3 Kingdoms.

I don't think i've played a Total war Game that had Cavalry this fucking deadly. Like one cavalry unit taking on a group of non-spear units can kill hundreds in the matter of seconds.
The revitalized diplomacy and campaign gameplay really sold it for me. I love Rome 2 now with all its post-release content but since then they really got stuck in a paint-the-map-your-color gameplay loop that I found really dissatisfying in the end.
Don't care much for Three Kingdoms but I hope the improvements to diplomacy are carried over to Warhammer 3. At the very least the "Make this work" button needs to be in every future game they ever make.
Oh. I'm an idiot.
When you buy a unit, it takes i think a year for it to be a full stack it seems. I had Warhammer 2 on the mind and just assumed this to be the case, and then Sun Jian dies from picking a fight with the wrong people not even a year into his campaign.
Whoops.
No it's just a newer recruitment system they took from thrones of britannia, new units are recruited instantly at 1/6th strength and you need to rely on replenishment to fill it up. Hence you really want dedicated recruitment provinces with high population and replenishment bonuses for this.
Also protip; if you want to upgrade a unit you can avoid it by right clicking it and using the "swap unit" command. This will take a turn to turn a unit into the selected one but at the same strength, so you wont have to replenish these.
Yeah, maybe I've just not figured out how to exactly build just yet and money seems to be tight. Might try building a merc building as soon as possible and focus more on replenishment instead of income. At least at the very start, I feel I'm pissing away time waiting for a full unit when I could be taking the smaller territories from the surrounding Han.
Could probably get away with two generals with four, maybe five units each for now, the idea of everyone's having two sets of archers might be an issue when they actually are capable of running out. Might try getting a catapult and calvery. At least there won't be a shortage of kids because Sun Jian and his wife a breeding like fucking rabbits. I'm just going to hope the Wu family aren't going to be magnets to arrows.
Need to figure out how not to bleed money while dealing with the bastards that want my imperial seal. Might give Cao Cao a shot just to learn the game more. It's the same with Total Warhammer, and it's bit of a piss take when I don't have all the available choices because the DLC is such a problem. (Empire Free Company for example would be kinda nice?)
To add to what I previously said, since I only just figured this out. Newly recruited units receive a replenishment "mustering" bonus which predominantly determines how long they require to fill up. A few building chains and skills can lower the mustering turn duration for your faction which speeds this up significantly. I had no idea what those things did until now.
Also trebuchets with fire ammo are incredible, if you can get your hands on those they can make taking smaller territories very easy with minimal losses. If you combine a night attack and 2 units of trebuchets with fire ammo you can usually rout the entire garrison before having to set foot into the city. Especially during dry seasons the fire ammo can spawn large fires that can wipe more than half a unit from a single shot. Ranged firepower is really important in the early game when replenishment is hard to come by. (Late game it still is but you can field multiple armies so it affects you much less)
Is anyone else experiencing really long load times?
Nah, the opposite actually compared to Warhammer 2's. You have an SSD?
I do, but it's pretty full. I think I need to change to my sdd though because the laoding times for simple battles take up to 5 minutes.
Yeah there is definitely something going on if your ssd takes 5 minutes to load for battles. Could it be that there are other processes in the background that are causing your ssd to stall? (Like steam still downloading updates in the background).
Sorry I was not entirely clear, I actually installed it on a normal hard drive. Although I do have an solid state drive. That said, my rig really exceeds the recommended settings.
