It's dumb that they do the whole "Can't be shot while in a store" thing, but if someone decides to mark your posse for assassination they can just walk in with their weapons out and kill you.
After the fact, I hope
Rockstar really needs to add consequences for PvP/griefing in the open world in online. Shits getting old, especially the pussy posse parade of groups that keep lassoing you and tying you up over and over and you can't do shit to fight back because they chain lasso you. Fucking Rockstar how did you think adding that to multiplayer wasn't gonna mean it gets the shit abused out of it.
Can you have multiple characters online, or change your appearance past the online intro? My character is absolutely fuck ugly and I'm early enough in online I'm alright with starting over. Otherwise though I love the gameplay loop of online, minus griefers. I haven't had too many negative experiences, and a lot of the free roam activities are pretty fun. How long tho until they add things like CEO and biker businesses that basically make everyone shut off and aggressive?
PS4 version just got an update 1.4gb, no idea what it includes.
Holy hell is the Gambler's Challenges frustrating. The other challenges if I messed up, it was on me but all of these are just more or less hoping to get lucky and it's kind of bullshit. I busted someone out in Valentine poker game in about 10 minutes but it took me a whole hour and a half in St Denis to finally win that area. NPCs keep folding immediately when they get below a dollar and only put money in the bet if they're a blind and it's bullshit.
Just go all in constantly. Doing that it took me about 5 minutes per location.
Oh yes, I didn't want to miss the joy of the cut scenes.
I hear, swapping to your knife while being lassoed, will cut the rope. Gives you a chance to get personal with the cowboy.
That'll work when it's one on one, when it's one on three, yeah no way.
Besides the rope cutting when lassoed, is there any other helpful stuff I can put in the OP?
Haha, playing a mission with a random, decided I couldn't be bothered driving my horse similar sidled up to one of the others horses as we were riding to the objective, somehow we both managed to jump to each others horse at the same time, so we essentially swapped horses, it was so syncronised it was beautiful and fucking hilarious
I'd really just like them to add passive mode to online, if that happens I'll have no gripes.
I'm currently evaluating if I really want to bother with the online mode, to be honest, even if it was the second main reason I purchased the PS4 version of the game immediately. Granted, the ability to play as a customized character, the presence of actual story missions and being able to form a posse with friends are neat. But a lot of the feedback I'm reading around the Web paint me the picture of a mode which is basically a subpar version of the single player story with also insanely high prices for everything, forced grinding and other players who are more of a murderous liability than an asset
Aww man, they fixed the Oppressor Mk2 speed glitch. That made cargo deliveries so much easier. Now it's worthless.
Then watch them disable shit like fishing and stranger missions because they WANT you to experience other Human players. It's not about how YOU want to play their game, it's about how THEY want you to play their game, tough shit if you don't like it I imagine their response to be, though their public response would be some shit about the experience and not wanting to alter it in some way and blah blah bollocks.
Is there a way to have a private lobby in multiplayer?
If that trick from GTA Online works in this game, maybe not Private but alone at the very least.
Ugh hunting cougars takes fucking ages Why do I have to kill five of them when finding just one takes endless running around in certain arbitrary areas. Just fucking spawn one already
using the bait can be pretty good
I made it guys, I finally made it! I don't even know how many hours it took me, but I finally finished the main story of Red Dead Redemption II! Sure, the very final mission was dragged along a bit and was kinda repetitive, plus I completely gave up on understanding Dutch's behaviour, but what the hell, I got the high honor ending and the whole thing was unbeliveably touching. I even think I'm liking Arthur's redemption story far more than John's. Anyway, here are my personal opinions about the whole videog- https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225139/da640a6f-c969-4548-ad1d-7791a10d1b02/Red Dead Redemption 2_20181212223947.png ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
The epilogue isn't that bad, missions are quick and you don't have to travel halfway through the map after each mission.
Ever since the update I stopped getting the x0000 Rockstar Disconnected bullshit and now I just get disconnected within 2 minutes with a different message. It's actually 10 times worse now
I don't wanna do bad things as John but I need the bandit challenges so
I'm not gonna lie, I almost wanted to quit playing when the epilogue started and you were just doing farm work. Not to mention, John looks really weird compared to RDR1. He's so god damn lanky. Eventually I got used to it though.
little tip for the bait I didn't realise, using bait doesn't actually spawn in an animal nearby like I thought it would, it just attracts nearby animals that are already spawned. I spent too long putting down predator bait in the desert and waiting for a cougar to come strolling up out of nowhere. Later on tho, I saw a grizzly bear a while off, dropped the bait, and sure enough he came lumbering over slowly but surely.
Almost 99% certain that Mrs.Downes cutscene is a glitch.
Gonna be honest, I hate that most upgrades in single player are tied to hunting. I hate it, I don't want to use a lame ass bow for a chance at getting a perfect pelt just to lose it in the event chance I get ambushed by the Brood again. There's no reason to hunt because you can't use most pelts for anything but selling them. Why does everything require perfect when I'm sure good would suffice?
hunting is a good way to get upgrades early, but honestly you're better off just waiting until the end of the game because then you can just buy all of those upgrades from a fence.
Really? I had no idea. I started chapter 6, so I'm assuming I'm close to the end.
