Just spend 3 hours in St Denis saying hello to everyone afterward
But yeah I did the same thing with him, it really absolutely desolates your honor no matter how high you start it with. Even more so if you get to the challenges where you have to steal wagons and horses and you get tired of running from the law so you just shoot the witnesses instead...
Are you fucking serious? Well that sucks, I never knew this from the game at all, after the part where you give them money and practically demand they get away from this life and start a new one, we were left to assume they did just that or something.
That's a pretty annoying glitch I have to say.
If we get any single player expansion at all, what should we expect? I do want them to have essentially a remaster of RDR as DLC, but it's really only so I can technically play both on PC if we were to get a port. What other Horror themes can we use besides Zombies like with Undead Nightmare?
Is that the same for potent predator bait? It seemed to spawn in animals when I used it, or it seemed like that anyways. I killed a bunch of panthers by spamming potent predator bait, but never actually ran into any in the wild.
They really need to give you more XP for stuff. 100-200 per mission isn't enough, and it makes it so people jump ahead and break missions just so they can get all the kills and get as much XP as possible. Personally I don't mind it much because I've already seen how all the missions play out normally, but I can see it ruining the experience for people playing for the first time.
I'm hoping for Undead Nightmare 2 at the very least.
I actually wouldn't mind something a bit more avant-garde, some kind of retro-future/steam punk thing. Like if the marko dragic builds an army. (and doesnt get killed by his robot)
So, here's some big fuckin' speculation but it does align with a lot of what's been said before.
Rumour: Red Dead Redemption 2 Glitch May Suggest Red Dead Redemption Remake DLC
^^ MASSIVE POST-STORY SPOILERS AHEAD AND BELOW^^
Someone encountered a bug in the game where the "greet" audio is no longer John's voice. It's someone else, and the voice sounds eerily similar to the voice of adult Jack from the epilogue of RDR1. The theory has been for a while that Rockstar intends to remaster RDR1. For instance, when you could glitch your way into Mexico, the temperatures were higher and there were new pieces of ambient music that played. That sure is a lot of effort for a blocked off area. Since then, Rockstar patched the glitch and you can no longer get to Mexico.
If we consider that New Austin is a wasteland and there's really fuck-all to do, we consider Rockstar spending time patching glitches that had zero gameplay impact to get to a sealed off area, we consider this glitch of a Jack sound-alike during the greet audio that plays when using a POST-EPILOGUE CHARACTER from the previous game in a POST-EPILOGUE SECTION of the story in the current game?
It gives me a BIG THONK.
Hmm, I mean Undead Nightmare 2 would be great and maybe a Steampunk DLC too as that does sound cool, but this sounds interesting as well, if it does follow the route of us playing Jack, then we'll be in 1914 at the very least, so high powered pistols everywhere weeeeeeeee
I really hope that's true. I've been wanting to go back and replaying rdr1, but I can't really be bothered finding my ps3.
Honestly I was kind of disappointed Rockstar didn't take the route of ending the story with Jack writing a last sentence in a book and closing it as "his story" that he always wanted to write, maybe sometime in the 1920s or such.
I feel like a remake of RDR1 would be a pretty big undertaking, especially with this new and improved version of the RAGE engine. It seems very unlikely, but I would love to be proven wrong though.
The lankiness is a glitch, though. If you reload a save, he looks normal.
It would be in some aspects, but if you think about it a lot of the framework is already there. A lot of the same weapons exist in both games, save for a few. The environments are all there (except Mexico, but there's indications it's being worked on). Some characters as well. All the necessary sound design, the foundation for mission structures. It's not like they'd have to rebuild the game from scratch, because most of it already exists in RDR2, and (at least in my experience) the core gameplay between the two games have remained pretty solidly the same. They wouldn't have to re-record mission dialogue either, I'm sure Rockstar meticulously kept their raw files around and higher quality audio could be exported - same with motion-capture for missions. Raw mocap data contains infinitely more information than the compressed data you get in-game.
Not to imply it wouldn't be a big undertaking, but I think (just based on my own experiences and observations) that it's definetely not an unrealistic thing to expect given all the circumstances. I'd actually argue it's so plausible we'll get a remaster in the coming year or two that I'd be willing to toxx it, but I can't think of a good escape clause so I'll get back to you on that.
I could see Undead Nightmare 2 happening. The thing we should consider is that it doesn't have to be about just zombies. Remember that the original DLC had mythical creatures as well. Basically I see it as a way for anything weird or paranormal to get in. Maybe those man made mutants start running around, or Dragic accidentally creates a robot uprising, or you have to fight super powered KKK wizards. As long as they get weird with it I'll be happy.
Toxx's aren't enforced anymore anyways, so it's pretty pointless. I'd still love to see the remaster anyways, so here's hoping.
Apparently my Arthur's outfit was eerily similar to the one worn by Django in the movie's last scene without be being the wiser

Don't mind the bandolier and the other weapon accessories: that's a screenshot I took very early in my playthrought
1.5 is out, around 800mb for PS4,1.32gb for Xbox and Rockstas wonderfully informative pathcn notes?
"General improvements to fix game stability, save data and to address exploits."
Come on Rockstar don't be as vague as Dutch and his fucking plans
Is there any way to avoid that glitch with Mrs. Downes? I'm not anywhere near that point of the game, currently in chapter 4.(just got to the camp in Saint Denis and just recently saw her working as a prostitute) Or could someone describe what the glitch is without spoiling it outright?
The glitch is when you see her working as a prostitute in saint Denis after helping her out in Annesburg. You're fine for now.
I would fucking adore a steampunk DLC that has some flying areas with a steampunk town or something like that
I feel like steampunk is a very polarizing thing though. People are either really into it, or absolutely hate it.
thats because its never done right
Eh, I’d rather they stuck with something horror themed.
I should definitely be able to carry more than one 14lb fish on the back of my horse. I'm pretty sure a deer carcass weighs more than that.
Like, they nailed the whole supernatural, zombie vibe and horror is rarely explored in westerns.
I hate how every time I start a mission, or enter freeroam, the game equips my cattleman revolver in my main holster. I just want my dual volcanics equipped at all times.
As far as I'm concerned, Red Dead Redemption II's epilogue is basically the epilogue of the original game all over again, which I didn't find excruciatingly boring or immensely touching either way back then.
After a climatic, supposed final mission where your playable character dies for good after several hours of pure agony and fear on his part, what follows are several hours of missions composed entirely of menial tasks and the occasional gunfight as you try to reach the very, definitive finale as quickly as possible.
The prequel's epilogue however is somehow a bit worse because:
1) Unlike in Red Dead Redemption, you can totally guess in advance you are going to have a confrontation with Micah, kill him, have your revenge and continue in free roaming, whereas the original game hit you with John's shocking death and Jack as a new playable character without any prior warning whatsoever.
2) After spending hours beyond counting in slowly building up my character, his inventory and apparel, asking me to play with a subpar version of him and go over that all over again is a bit demanding on the game's part (even if eventually you are given a large amount of cash to compensate).
3) Althought I've always liked Abigail as a character, damn if her constantly bitching towards John is totally uncalled for
I mean, you get all your guns, outfits and inventory items back. Really the only thing you lose is your money, but that's easily retained at that point in the game anyway, especially if you still had some gold bars or other valuables.
Alright, I guess I'm still in an earlier stage of the epilogue then
