I knew it was coming eventually but i'd rather they did it when they had content for us to actually waste money on
I never got all my guns back, which is a bit infuriating.
I got everything else BUT my guns. Is this a glitch?
I... guess? At least I think I got my guns back?
I was expecting for them to at the very least wait a couple months/till we were out of beta but uh
thanks take-two interactive/rockstar/whoever makes the decisions for funny money purchases.

Red Dead Online Beta Status Update (Dec 14)
Well that just shits this up completely, what the fuck is the point in Gold Bars then if they just hand them out like this? I mean actually handing them out too.
Ultimate Edition owners get $1,000, fucking, why? Like you can tell how little of a shit they give about their economy when they just hand out money like this, what's the point.
Lol are you seriously bitching about them being generous and giving out gold bars? Damned if you do, damned if you don’t I suppose
Well I never personally asked for anything like this, I asked for changes to be made to the economy to make it less shit, this doesn't change it, it just makes them think they can sway some people by handing shit out, I'm not simple, this doesn't work on me worth shit.
Bitching about being generous, bullshit, it's a fucking bribe to get people to not give as much of a fuck about the economy but as I said, I'm not simple and you'd have to be simple for this to be enough to be enough for you.
Does the gold glitch still work for online?
Meanwhile some people on the subreddit continue to miss the point of being against this kind of dog shit and some people ACTUALLY defend this shit, some absolutely beneficial members of that community, one person was even complaining that he was having issues buying one of the packs, I just don't even.
i don't even understand why you would buy them when there's fuck all to buy currently
like there's legit nothing to spend these shitty gold bars on besides clothing and horses which can't even be obtained until high ranks but you can bet your buttons they'll find items like new guns to lock behind it
Meanwhile some people on Reddit prove they're incapable on coming up with a decent argument, one guy even repeated what I said back to me, truly astonishing.
holy fucking shit
15 gold bars isn't even as many as you get from the smallest amount of moneydump currency you can get
fuck you too, Rockstar
Have rockstar added poker and blackjack and hookers yet?
I'm so disappointed that (story spoilers)
New Austin was hardly used at all, except for the like 1 Sadie mission where you're near armadillo, it might as well have not been in the game. The sad thing is Arthur's tuberculosis would have been the perfect reason to hang around there for a while, maybe establishing a new camp for a while, with all those loyal to Arthur, which would have been a better way of having the group begin to fracture rather than everyone gets suddenly bitchy when you get to beaver hollow.
The award reset one was supposedly patched but I haven't been online to try myself.
On topic of horror-themed DLCs, I wouldn't mind a sort of Cowboys vs. Aliens DLC. I'd take an Undead Nightmare 2 seeing as I never really got to play it as the PSN version is basically broken, but I thought video game devs had finally grown out of their "everything needs zombies" stage
Still though, I like the idea of horror and westerns being mixed together.
UN was released around the time where everything needing zombies was starting to catch on, but it didn't feel like an eyeroller of a time, like some X has zombies, as a fantasy take on the existing setting, it was quite well done. It also works because RDR isn't a setting where smgs and machine guns exist as personal wewpons, so you couldn't just mindlessly mow down hundreds, so it worked better, plus ammo was limited too.
I think I'm going to drop eight bucks or something on January on a monthly PS Plus subscription just to try out the multiplayed mode.
Gotta say, you guys aren't exactly helping matters
Listen, if you want to do shit by yourself you might be in for a rough time, I'd say 70 - 80% of the time I've been fine though, but that's just myself, I know other people get into shit more often than that, I wouldn't know shit about being in a posse either since I've yet to actually do that.
I don't really have many people on Xbox anymore besides the few I added here, but even then it's random when people are online and not doing something else, but then I'm also not always online anyway. (Unimportant shit)
Online modes are fine, there's only a few missions right now, about 9 I think so you'll be repeating them soon enough, but they're not terrible, there's one of two though that are boring, Showdown right now is kind of annoying in the way it just has all these modes thrown into a single playlist, so if you want to do something like TDM, you're gonna have to suck up the fact that you might not get into that one and will get into some Free For All stuff and "Objective" modes.
I know I talk shit about online here but I'm a Cynical Pessimist, so complaining and disliking shit comes natural to me, but really, it's not bad.
I have no idea what Races are like, I'm not even gonna fucking find out either.
do you live on tenneriffe by any chance? I had this happen with some dudes from tenneriffe
While my opinion of online is mixed, I'd say you may want to probably wait for a online content patch to drop, as there isn't a whole load to do at the moment, a few story missions, and while there are stranger random missions, there aren't a whole lot of them, so you may find yourself bored. It needs a bit more than what it currently has imo, though I suppose you could just money grind till more is out.
Nope, I don't.
Any tips on finding gold earrings? I’m trying to craft the boar tusk talisman and online guides are less than helpful. Should I just start robbing women until I find one?
Rob train passengers. Women tend to give jewelry more than cash, though its random what kind.
Alternatively, there is a house out in Big Valley (where you get one of the special guns) that if you kill the naggy old woman and loot the rest of the house, there is gold earrings around bed, but I don't know if it's random what kind of jewelry or not.
I got mine through the train method.
Used my second set of 15 gold to buy myself a nice wool sweater and a sheepskin coat to make a Cold weather outfit for hunting in Ambarino. I look swag af.
Can someone explain this argument to me, I don't understand it at all.
Because I'm responding to your claim that buying RDR2 entitles you to RDRO...
My point is: it doesn't. No matter how you want to word it, you have no right to any online content. Period.
Online is an entirely optional component provided by the company, which they could discontinue with 30 day notice.
Read your EUA - end user agreement
I don't think this is what they mean with EULA.
Think of it this way:
You can judge a game's quality based on online discussion the same way you can judge a city's health based on it's hospitals
Most games are enjoyable, but if they have any downsides at all thats what people will talk about the most
