"I always was a good thief". "That you was." https://media.giphy.com/media/s2ZfeMHN1ela0/giphy.gif
Since they've hinted/said there's no wipe at the end of the beta,(which probably won't change now that mtx are now fully in, where before you could buy gold, they could have done a wipe and let you keep the gold) I imagine they may give you a chance once it comes out of beta. Or they may do a wipe, let you keep money, gold and anything you bought with gold. But the first is more likely
Late Chapter 5 spoilers I was wondering why heading it was so hot heading into Saint Dennis. It's usually 70-80 but for me it was 95, I thought maybe i was gone for so long in Guarma that it was summer, but it wasn't until I left the doctors that I remembered the temperature gauge isn't the overall temperature, it's Arthurs, he was having a high fever from TB Holy shit that was such a good attention to detail I'm still impressed by it now. Chapter 6 spoilers It still makes me sad, seeing the changed look in Arthur's eyes as they're perpetually bloodshot, how he can't hold down food as much so he's sickly thin, and how his voice sounds weak when he talks, and especially when he talks about how he's trying to prepare for death. When he said "I'm afraid" to the Nun I started tearing up hard. It's going to hurt finishing this chapter. I've been building a seething rage with every action Dutch has been doing in this chapter, especially with Eagle Flies, and seeing the slimeball Micah try to steer Dutch away from rational thinking is infuriating
So apparently the story missions in online work like races in GTA Online. The longer you take means more rewards. With a maximum of 0.32 gold nuggets for a 30 minute mission. So if you're playing with a friend, don't matchmake then just go hunting for herbs for half an hour. You can also hunt and sell animals in missions.
Ok guys, now I finally made it. I think. American Venom and the following ending credits were a fairly satisfying conclusion to this whole, long fucking ride. Granted, everything Dutch "He's crazy, alright?" Van Der Linde did made no fucking sense whatsoever, the fact John going after Micah is revealed to be the one thing that will kickstart the event of the original game and, generally, the whole finale doesn't connect all that well with Red Dead Redemption. But these are the main narrative issues I had during the whole game, so at the very least the game was consistent. I doubt I'll play the story mode further. I'm currently sitting atop of a 80,6% completition rate, and althought I'm missing some stranger quests, nearly all hunting/fishing related stuff and basically all the collectables assignments, at this point it'd mean for me to just grab an online guide and start following directions, which really isn't the way I do things, especially when it comes to open world games. As I said, I'll think about bothering with the online mode or not during the Christmas holyday. It doesn't help that I could definitely use a break from the game, I have some gaming business on my PC as well and another rather important PS4 exclusive is looming on the horizon. If I had to make a swift judgment on Red Dead Redemption II, I'd say it's surely one hell of a finely crafted game, a westerns fan wet dream and one of the most immersive gaming experience I had lately, but the story proper could had used some more tuning and the emphasis on realism and immersion will either hit or miss you, or a combination of the two.
Burnt out was definetly my problem. Beat the game in like a week and immediately started a new one, but I haven't touched it in a while now. Online holds no appeal for me, but I'm sure I'll come back to singleplayer sooner or laterm
ry https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/270762/cfc24a16-74ae-4cc7-b573-a58674d0d42d/image.png I'm very happy that I finally got my hands on the Tempest Coat.
I'm like 2/3rds of the way through singleplayer on my roommate's PS4 and I'm at the point where I just wish this thing was ready to drop for PC. My roommate is a huge slacker (bless him) and tries to get home early all the time and Smash just came out so I usually just let him do his thing with the TV. I also just wish I could play the game with the accuracy of a mouse and the proximity of a PC monitor. It' just better, especially for a game with this devotion to detail. idc if it's in a year and a half like GTA V. Fingers crossed. Seems pretty likely given the leaks and how much of a cash cow GTA online has been.
I feel like most of the combat ability cards are kinda worthless. Pretty much all of them let you deal more damage, but what good is more damage when a headshot is a one hit kill anyway. Ability cards in general feel kinda lacking. The only good one is Paint It Black.
holy shit the varmint rifle is fuckin STUPID good in online. It's a laser beam that still one taps to the head.
Can anyone direct me to a guide about optional conversations and cutscene-triggering encounters not marked on the map whatsoever? I'm mostly talking about the epilogue and how John can meet and talk to former gang members and other major NPCs from the story
I think I recall a guy camped out on a St. Denis roof with only one ladder as a way up and kept headshotting police officers with a bow as they came up. This stacked up a bunch of exp bonuses.
Get a wanted level, climb up a ladder with decent cover around it, cops climb up, execute them as soon as they reach the top. Very slow and boring, but it's the best way to get a constant flow of XP.
I've seen people doing that in Saint Denis and it looks sad as fuck.
It's funny. Every time I ride over to the butcher after hunting birds, there's always dead cops scattered on the street and gunshots in the distance.

this is such a huge fuck you to players who actually do well at playing the game, it's so obviously configured to force money making to a minimum to promote those goddamn gold bars
That was only next gen GTA:O if I remember correctly. The PS3/360 relied on mod menus to bring back the prompt.
Guys, I had to spend real money to get a cattleman revolver! https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/232310/0920c11a-9d38-41e7-80fa-c5b82154251a/DSC_0124.JPG (psst it's a non shooting plugged replica)
dude nice, me too https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110384/cf08f034-32fd-4979-981b-708e3c52967f/image.png
I see you already grinded honour to get them pearl grips
End-game story spoilers in this video but goddamn it's fucking amazing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEdjnCDoaxk
Well his intro is really off putting and the fact the he censors swearing with a sound rather than just, not, swearing.
Wow, they are spot-on as fuck
Apparently with the level 3 Slow and Steady ability card, you can survive 3 headshots with the bolt action rifle when in dead eye mode.
Thats why i invested in it, even if it makes me walk like a wannabe Jason Vorhees.
i found myself a legendary mount up in big valley https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/242400381353721858/526072453177278484/unknown.png
protip: if you ever get matched into the "Right Side of the Tracks" mission, just quit and it will spawn you near the sheriff's house which has a bunch of food, two jewelry boxes, and gun oil. The stable next to it also has a Horse Stimulant and a Horse Reviver. Basically, you get a better reward for quitting the mission instead of actually playing it
I really don't wanna play as John anymore. He just isn't as fun as Arthur. Wish the game would give us an option to switch between the two after the epilogue. Or at least a new game+.
