Epilogue spoilers: Is it just me, or does John get different dialogues when playing poker or blackjack in Blackwater than in other towns? I won a hand in blackjack and heard him say "My wife isn't going to like me here" while I've played and won probably several hundred hands in Rhodes and never heard him say that.
Possible, I spent 4 hours in Rhodes doing the blackjack challenge (kms) and never heard that line. Maybe it's for poker only?
No, I got it playing blackjack. And yeah, that's exactly why I spent all that time in Rhodes as well. That blackjack challenge is total bullshit. I think I've spent close to 8 hours of gameplay over the past 2 weeks trying to get it and I've yet to get even one fucking hand to work.
Chapter 6 end spoilers I was hoping Arthur's final moments were more graceful. Seeing him battered and bruised, gasping for air for his final words to Dutch really, really got to me My heart still hurts
Honestly after viewing the bad honor ending vs the good honor ending, I think the bad honor one is far more merciful considering an instant death shot to the head is probably less brutal than laying out in the cold for potentially hours suffocating on your own blood, waiting for potential fear that the only people that are very likely to find you is the Pinkertons, not other gang members.
Thats fair but from what I understand Arthur has different motivations based on your honor rating, on good, he's trying to help John get away, where as on bad, he wants to take Dutches money and run, but changes his mind at the last minute to do something good before he dies. So him dying from a gunshot is him being spiteful because Micah's like him, and on good he's content with dying because John got away and that's all he ever wanted. He got closure. I just wish he didn't get completely fucked up and had to crawl to his final destination
Oof I finally made it past chapter 6 after all this time and damn if this wasn't a hard pill to swallow. Got the high honor ending and it was one of the hardest things to watch I have seen in a long time. Also damn Roger Clark for his great performance because it would be a lot easier on the emotions if his voice acting wasn't so good.
Damnit, I've encountered a bug, I can't customise my weapon nor am I able to get a second one to appear... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/232310/f6e29290-bf66-4eb6-936f-3e9b163246b0/DSC_0131.JPG
If/when this comes to PC, is there anything you'd like to add to the game? Mods or scripts or anything?
craft/cook # amount of things instead of going through a five second animation for every single item you craft/cook
God please yes. Also skippable skinning, the first few dozen times it's best, but boy does it get old
I just wanna know who thought it was a good idea to have Arthur sit there and craft Split Point Rounds ONE-BY-ONE.
Those aren't too bad considering you can hold down the button, cooking stuff and tonics tho..
A dynamic price system. Weather related stat changes. Donating game to my camp adding food, speeding up the stew, stew twice a day. Basically make caring for the camp worthwhile
I was thinking about that too, I feel like they didn't go the full mile with the realism aspect in some parts. I would of really liked it if money was either hard to come by or there was more to spend it on, or at the very least there wasn't several missions where you're giving literal thousands of dollars. I'm a minimalist when it comes to things like equipment so all I don't spend loads of money personalizing my gun or my horse so that's two money sinks gone, it's the same criticism I gave V, once you became rich, it feels pointless because there isn't much to spend it on.
What would this be like?
I'm imagining something like cold makes shooting slower and inaccurate, or hot weather draining stamina faster or similar. Maybe losing weight faster in the heat too?
Weather does affect core drain at least. Though only health IIRc
Just took over a train with some friends, and it was really fun fighting off the other players trying to take it. It was kinda broken though. The train kept fading in and out of existence and I fell off a bunch.
I decided to do some hunting to get some satchel upgrades. Set out to hunt some bucks. Found deer, alright... THEY'RE ALL DOES. THEY'RE ALL FUCKING FEMALE. WHERE ARE ALL THE 3 STAR BUCKS I found one buck in like 20 and it was a two star of course. This is driving me up the wall.
Pre-damaged animals was a mistake.
Story of my life
I guess I was hunting in the wrong place, I went to northwest West Elizabeth (around the area where the legendary deer is, which I haven't found yet) and I find a lot of bucks there. Bagged me a 3 star now.
You normally don't find a herd of bucks IRL so it kind of makes sense that you don't find a ton of them in a herd in the game.
Add in the ability to save while using cheats and add in an invincibility cheat.
Don't worry, trainers will be out pretty quickly. I just hope they add something to do online by then.

Not that they'll even see your character's name.
Which sucks, they should've atleast made it an option like in the Dark Souls games.
Only if I could rename my character though, since I just named mine 001 since I knew we weren't going to be seeing them ingame anyway.
