There's currently a glitch where you can basically go into passive mode. You can do free mode missions and hunt without anyone bothering you. This should've been a feature at launch tbh. https://youtu.be/kdymtUfrvG4
Damn that glitch might actually get me to start playing again; regardless of there not being something big to work towards I still really enjoy just wandering and hunting/fishing/picking herbs
On the one hand, the new visibility stuff is nice. ON the other, I have a feeling this may lead to increased camping in towns by griefers, not that they don't already.
Man the momentum kinda died down. I surely figured Rockstar would've released a couple of updates to the game by now.
yeah red dead online has so far been a massive disappointment, there's not much of a point to play it after like 5 hours
Well, to be fair, it took GTA Online nearly 2 years to really get going. Hopefully this doesn't take THAT long though.
booty game
So I just read on Reddit that animal carcasses do rot over time, at least in SP. I've never actually seen that happen, then again I didn't normally visit the same place repeatedly.
tips to get max beard? im in chapter 4 should I just sleep and drink 10 hair tonics a day?
Pretty much the only way to do it. Try doing some of the challenges to pass time instead of just sleeping? IRL you can only sleep so many times in a row before it says "Arthur isn't tired" and you can't sleep.
iirc taking stagecoaches also passes time
I posted it on the last page, but: Go to Van Horn Walk into the Fence Point gun at him and press Triangle/Y When he pulls out his gun, shoot him. Walk out the door, stand to the right of the door. It'll prompt you to wait till morning. It should let you do that an unlimited amount, passing days within seconds. If it doesn't prompt you after the first time, shoot the fence again and repeat. With this you can go from 1 to whatever it feels like maxing your beard out at within 10 minutes. (Mine was stuck at 9 moustache, 7 chin and chops, and would never go past that)
Update is out https://youtu.be/yXQAm17SyRI Haven't checked it out myself, but apparently you have to buy the new emotes
But of course. It's R*
I saw nothing mentioning new missions, how disappointing.
"acting lessons".......this is so fucking ridiculous. this seems like something we would joke about, and Rockstar actually did it. Jesus christ. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/211148/fbd34fb8-66ad-4265-b0b7-118e6aa79116/IMG_20190226_091722.jpg
Oh god that's so fucking bad, gouging money through emotes, what even is this game.
A 60 dollar AAA game circa 2019. Gonna get worse before it gets better
Overall, this update is pretty disappointing. They didn't even release everything at once. It's being fucking dripfed to us. That may work with GTA Online, where all the meaningful content is already there, but there is NOTHING here. This game desperately needs more content, and they have the fucking BALLS to hold that shit back? At least the new anti-griefing measures are nice. I feel more comfortable playing knowing people don't know where I am.
Yeah, I'm not even logging in till it gets better. THEY NERFED HUNTING AGAIN. No more small animal perfects, less value and there's apparent fuckery with the quality of even bigger animals. Yeah, they made it so we can hunt and fish with a bit extra peace, but its gonna take us longer to do than before, also no word about bugfixes and no word of stopping people losing their pelts and carcasses, from their horses if they die due to griefing. Like, stopping that happening would make griefing less of a hassle.
did they also nerf exotic bird plumes is hunting rosate spoonbills to the brink of extinction unprofitable now
It's funny how the main plot of RDR2 is about Dutch, having a PLAN, us just needing to have FAITH and that he just needs MORE MONEY Rockstar really satirized themselves and let us know what was coming for RDRO in the main story didn't they.
I think Rockstar really needs to step their game up with how they do updates. More and more of these "games as a service" types of games are getting content updates on a pretty frequent basis. Look at Fortnite for example. They get new stuff all the time. Rockstar is more than capable of pumping stuff out at least monthly. They also need to be more transparent with the players. The feedback section of their site is a good first step, but they need to do more.
Yeah they're losing their touch, they're focusing more on how these games can make them money past DLC, instead resorting to shitty Microtransactions and making the game a slog to play so we're more likely to turn to Microtransactions, which I despise right now.
To be fair, I'm finding RD:O so dull, I don't play enough anymore to even see the microtransactions let alone buy any of them. They've made things too grindy and tunnel visioned, I just stopped playing it. Didn't think I'd say this so early, but if a mod menu was available to unlock most of the things, I'd have used it by now to at least give me something new to do or use. There's only so much grinding missions will get you before it starts giving you a pittance for the effort. It's nice they're accepting feedback this time though (compared to the "let's throw things at a wall and see what sticks" approach as seen in GTA:O) but there's just far too many things lacking at the moment to give me a reason to play. If it ever comes onto the PC (judging by the leaked strings - this is going to happen at some point), I think modders will spend most of their time building custom maps in the lobbies for others to play on because there's not much to do at the moment once you've done it a couple of times already.
So I’ve just downloaded the new update and my story mode is noticeably laggy now? it was fine before this update playing on a old Xbox one on a 4K TV anything you guys suggest? It’s really laggy
Seems the same with me aswell, well even before the newest update, some of the smaller updates seemed to have made my game laggy as hell and i'm on the xbox one x with 4K tv and when the game first came out it worked fine with few hitches
At least I’m not the only one. im at work at the moment so I can’t test this but do you think if we turned our resolution down on the Xbox display settings that it could help? im not technical in this sort of thing so I have no idea
I'm honestly sceptical that they're actually listening to feedback, maybe listening to them is like 10 - 20% of what they get and ignoring the rest, if that, they're probably just saying that to make themselves look better, like they're actually listening and that they really do care about the community past their wallets, but I don't believe that to be the truth worth shit.
I noticed this too, I'm on an xbox x as well. I thought it was just me. Hopefully they know about it
