I knew we weren't mute because you sometimes hear your character say things or make grunting or breathing sounds, the lack of a voice selector though is just another item on the list of "Dissapointing Shit"
Yeah your character always made noises when petting your horse and what not, just strange to hear full sentances.. and yeah even just a pitch slider like whistling woulda been nice
i thought we got that though? am i remembering wrong? i recall changing voice or something related to whistling during character creation
You could customise your whistle (pitch and style) but that was it. Nothing related to voices etc.
the best part is that they didn't put much thought into the different voices either. If you eat bulrush as a female character it does the arthur voice line for him throwing up
They did mention in that newswire article, that they're working on improving the character creator, so who knows. Maybe we will be able to change our voice at some point.
There's an area west of the prologue area that's out of bounds that looks like it was meant to be explored at one point, there is a lot of hand crafted details and unique natural features they you would never see without glitching out there. https://youtu.be/M0STN3R7dmU https://gtaforums.com/topic/871493-mapping-red-dead-redemption-2-landmark-analysis-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1070690296 https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/fd2f34ad-7428-473d-90a0-652ddfb58be6/image.png
I just realized, it’s bull that you can’t pet the cats in the game! Atleast in single player Arthur can talk to them, in mp my mute ass just looks at them..
You can tell how little of a shit people give about RDR2 now when the last post was 10 days ago, quite sad really.
Most of us probably beat it by now, and the online is still in beta. I do wanna work on 100% but its gonna have to wait until after Burnout Paradise and SOTTR unfortunately. Also what revolver do you guys like the most? I really like the cattleman even though its like the first one you get.
I usually stick with pistols, but when I do use revolvers, I like the Schofield.
Badly conditioned starter cattleman (for 3rd playthrough) and lancaster Reg ammo for cattleman and express for lancaster
Not exactly a rare occurrence. The thread has been pretty active since launch four months ago
I prefer duel wielding the double-action, mostly because it was my favorite one in the first game.
my first playthrough just progressed through all different sidearms until i landed on the mauser(s) and for my second playthrough i've been sticking purely with the cattleman whenever i've had time to choose. sidenote: i fucking hate the rifle auto-equip. why even have a mission in the prologue teaching you about grabbing shit off your horse if it's just going to skip that part whenever a mission appears
Epilogue spoilers: I took John up to Colter to find the graves around there and let him idle for a moment in town to take a drink IRL and dialogue from the beginning of the game started to play with John talking to Abigail like he was remembering everything there. Even after all this time there are small little details I doubt people have yet to discover in this game.
It really is impressive how much they packed into this game. Every time I think I've seen everything, something new happens.
The main thing that changed though was Cereal being a currency ingame, hence the title I so cleverly chose, I'm smart me.
I found a map of rare weapons in the game, as I'm just 1 short of having all of them and not sure where the last one is, and the map says there is a rare weapon at the Adler Ranch. I went up there and found nothing save for a cheat code. Is the map wrong or am I really blind?
Pretty sure it's wrong, none of the other sources I've seen have said there's anything of value there.
Reminds me of the old days of GTA IV where you got that badass banshee with the unique paint job, but if you destroyed it, it was gone forever. Rockstar isn't good about letting you hang onto rare things.
Is RDO fun yet? Also please add me on ps4 (furzparti) I need to justify spending 5 girl dollhairs on skirts and shoes for my rdo character
Sadly it's still lacking. At least in GTAO you can drive about and stumble on random events happening, but in RDO I've yet to see something like that. There's just no hook keeping you wanting to come back. The grind for money is ridiculous, map feels empty unless you're in a city and there's just a lack of things to do. No survivals etc. You can tell R* are getting desperate as they've already "ported" over the stupid drip feed system, but since they can't stretch out 10 or so cars over 2 months, they're doing it with clothes, which for something which costs ~1 - 2 gold bars- look like they've been taken off a corpse (full of holes etc).
A shame really, I was hoping for something better than this, maybe in a years time it will be, but we'll see about that, I have my doubts.
I don't know how or why, but I somehow managed to get through the "Disarm 3 people consecutively without reloading your weapon" challenge with a bow by accident. Color me super confused.
Game still has lots of RP potential if on PC. I hope RDO does fail in the end though. It gives fans hope for single player DLCs.
Oh definitely. FiveM was a welcome breath of fresh air compared to GTAO. I just hope the same team make a FiveM equivalent of RDRO.
Honestly GTA will always stay more interesting to me than Red Dead. Same thing happened to me with the first RDR. I was back playing GTA4 within a few weeks. I didn't make it past chapter 3 in the story
I cannot find a list of animals from the compendium to help me finish it. If I list the animals by page, column and row, could you help me identify which animals I have never seen yet? I have 161 out of 178. Page 1, row 1, column 1 Page 2, row 2, column 4 Page 4, row 1, column 2 Page 6, row 2, column 5 Page 7, row 1, columns 1, 2, 3, 4 Page 7, row 3, column 3 Page 9, row 1, column 4 Page 9 row 3, column 2, 3, 4 Page 10, row 1, column 1 Page 11, row 1, column 3, 5 A diamond to anyone who fills this out completely, thanks
And I still haven't actually beat this yet, although I am at the very end. Shucks.
