yeah nuggets are up to 0.08 it seems. still an unnecessary grind IMO but with such minuscule amounts every little helps
Does Red Dead Online do the thing where you get rewarded less for completing the same mission repeatedly?
So far - yes.
Of course we do, there's like a grand total of 9 fucking missions I believe so we're going to play the same ones in no time.
Here are some of my observations with the update that were not mentioned,
Horse insurance for the Arabian no longer costs 5 gold, it now only costs $150.
There are many more NPC's in the world, more similar to SP, at least around Saint Denis, which now has an annoying amount of wagons and pedestrians.
There's a higher number of wildlife from what I can see, at least in my normal hunting grounds north of Saint Denis.
Payout for all birds has remained the same from what I've seen hunting. Still getting $15-20 for a full 10 feathers of birds like the Pelican, Loon, and Spoonbill.
The horse pricing is a lot different, much cheaper overall.
I'm looking forward to the rebate of all cash spent on weapons that they slashed the prices of. I'll be looking at around $700 back to me which would be nice.
I'm having a rough time with griefers right now. Can't do any missions because they are there waiting to kill anyone that gets near.
.
Enjoyed the Outlaw missions much more than Gunslinger.
Hogtying a crew member and leaving them on the train tracks to get a train full of Pinkertons to stop? Fun stuff.
Then using that train to drive into the oil fields with two people on machine guns to slaughter shit tonnes of enemies? Even better.
Topped off with a hint of doing a bank robbery in a future mission.
Going into the rockies into far north is the most enjoyable experience so far for me. Not many players have the clothing and it really makes me fight for my pelts.
What happens when my camp is not on white flag btw?
Doesn't the parley system help with that? From what I've read, if you get killed by the same person 3 times you can parley and you can't hurt each other for 10 minutes.
when are the handouts for bottom feeders like me going to be given out
Anytime between now and next Friday.
Some people have already got theirs.
By how much? Depending on how much they were lowered by it would make sense. It in general makes sense that payout of some activities are lowered when raised in others. You want to encourage various activities, not make people stick to whatever grinds the most cash.
Just got my 250$ and 15 gold bars. Already spent most of it.
It's mostly the easy to grind\get stuff that's been reduced. Salmon and trout are down from 4.50 to 2.50, pig carcass values have been reduced slightly, by a couple of bucks and there pelts halved down to a dollar. So some fish and livestock have been nerfed, which kinda makes sense on how easy they were to grind. Big fish like muskies, maybe all the big fish have had their values increased brining them closer in line to a larger animal carcass
They really need to sort out the camps moving, spawned in mine, as I was standing there it moved from next to valentine, all the way to gaptooth ridge
I wasn’t going to play if RDO remained a horrific MTX scheme like it was. Is it worth the PSN sub now?
Prices got dropped and some items no longer cost Gold Bars. Really, though? It’s up to you if RDO still sounds like it’s worthy a subscription.
Does it just give you a prompt like GTA:O's rebates?
Just started playing again and I'm still waiting for the prompt sadly.
You get an alert once you load into freeroam. Showed up during the loading screens for me. Thay said it'll take a while for it to appear for everyone though, something about sending everyone their cash and gold by the 14th.
It doesn’t because it wasn’t always the same person. Those assholes gang up.
Good to know what to look out for! Was worried I'd missed it (those Gold bars would go a long way for me...). I remember reading the 14th, but I'm probably so used to GTA:O's system where it normally appears on day 1 or 2.

this is some spooky shit
Ok, real talk here: was anyone else left kinda, shall we say, baffled by the whole fifth chapter?
After the dramatic and escalating climax which closes the fourth chapter, you are suddendly (and without any prior warning whatsoever) taken away to Guarma, a different, smaller map altogether from the huge where everything was set up to this point. What follow are a series of missions where you are lacking all the equipment and apparel you have been carefully building this far and several commodities and mechanics you have learned to master and enjoy too. The whole story feels like a pure filler and I don't see why anyone wouldn't rush it just to bring everything back on track.
Granted, the environments and the whole production quality is, as always, top notch, but in a game as rich in content and with such a long story and such slow pace already this chapter was a deviation I most certainly didn't need
Despite the reduction in some prices, it seems most if not all outfits were left at the same price as they were.
Did anyone else randomly get $150 as "reconciliation"? Does that mean like since they adjusted the payout on missions I got the bit I missed out on?
You bought a weapon that had its price reduced and that refund was the difference between old price and new price.
Yeah, I felt the same about that second spoiler too. Honestly the more I look back on it the more I generally disliked the second half of the game. Maybe it was because of how long it was since I played RDR1, but I just didn't remember any of the characters from the first game, besides Dutch, and had no real emotional connection with any of them.
That and the fact that the two coolest/most interesting characters get killed really led me to feel completely indifferent by the time I finished the game.
The fucking bow still costs a ridiculous $124 when it should be like $20 max.
Iactually like Guarma. Returning from it gave me the that "God damn, it's good to be back" feeling that I got after returning from Mexico in RDR1, without fucking dragging the story for 10+ hours.
Micah being the traitor was never confirmed in my opinion. He was a scumbag to be sure, but Im not just going to take Agent Milton on his word. Molly told someone something, I dont see why she would say she did if she didn't. Milton could have been lying to sow discord in Dutch's gang. Does Micah ever confess?

She's simple, but she's mine, and I love her.
She said it because he tried to get something out of her multiple times but couldn't, one time she gets drunk as fuck and she's angry at dutch and then comes out with something only a drunk person would come out with, something incredibly stupid, then gets killed because of it because the group had no reason to believe she hadn't fucked them over, whereas Micah on the other hand has always been sketchy as fuck, his first interaction with Sadie was toying with her in her home when she pulled a knife on him, at which point he flips a table over and sets the house on fire like a fucking idiot.
Are you trying to tell me that you honestly think Molly was the one who betrayed them over Micah? I mean seriously?
