Battlefield Franchise Megathread v"Seriously, nobody made a new thread yet?"

Of all the cosmetics the brits have, about 3 of them are actual British gear, and even the one British piece of clothing (the Sandman torso) doesnt have the option for the brown colour British uniforms were. I dont understand how BF1's character models all felt so authentic and BFV's characters are all over the place. Even the German uniforms have issues, mainly all the collars being unbuttoned and there being no collar rank tabs. Did they get a new character design team between games?
the heck is this

My guess is left over from the thing in BF1 where you could play on DLC maps with a friend if they had premium. I can't remember if using DLC weapons was part of that too, but I think it was?
You can't play online without buying Premium silly
now go back to the store and buy the premium edition for a measly 60 bucks
I find it a but puzzling that Battlefield Currency are being implement next month but DICE hasn't fixed the Company Coins after reaching lvl 50. I got the game last month and i'm still missing the 10,000 CC that I was promise. It's sorta great they got ideas and are putting them into the game but it would be far better if they fix the core issue we're facing, such as the simplicity of acquiring CC.
I'm not a programmer expert and i'm probably going to sound ignorant(so excuse me) but how do you fucked up the CC that bad when it's as simple as appending the coins to your currency?
The hip current conspiracy atm is that DICE is intentionally delaying the CC fix until after the paid currency is released to get money out of people but I think the more realistic explanation is that this game was just released in an extremely unfinished state because EA pushed them to release by the 2 year deadline, and now they have more deadlines of when they have to release things and they're trying to juggle fixing the issues that they couldnt fix before release and releasing new things and fixing the issues the new things bring.
I'm pretty sure its because DICE probably spaghetti'd the code or whatever and made doing shit like fixing the CC bug a gigantic pain in the ass.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is like The Division's case where 'just' adding backpack slots would make the game servers lag and shit themselves. Considering how volatile the entire UI and the game is where even the audio is somehow affected by a crappy connection, I'd imagine 'just' adding CC would probably make Frostbite implode on itself or something. Keep in mind that I'm no game dev nor do I have any experience in any of this, but I would think it'd be a reasonable assumption based on other games that tried to 'just' do something.
It's sad because I have never actually spent money on cosmetics or lootboxes or any of that shit in games but I could definitely see myself buying tank customization. I just don't want to give EA any more money until the game is in something resembling a release-worthy state.
On visibility, I don't think it's a huge problem. It's one of those things that with practice you start to learn what to look out for. I know when I first started playing BF4, I had a really hard time spotting enemies even with all the doritos just because there was so much clutter on the map. I'm kind of indifferent on the issue right now. I wouldn't complain too much if they did something to make soldiers stick out more, but at the same time I'd be okay if they didn't do anything. I like the idea of intentionally stealthing around a map as in the old days playing Battlefield like a stealth shooter was actually one of the most effective ways to operate.
That said, I recall reading somewhere that DICE is looking at it? Though, I don't know if it's a definitive "we're going to fix it" or if they're just paying lip service.
My new favorite pastime is lying on my back in the aerodrome hangar corridors among a few dead comrades and mowing down clueless enemies
On Rotterdam last night an AA tank was doing it's usual thing, camping around B flag (white house) and mowing our team down. At this point it's become predictable so I set out on a mission. I spawned at the German main base as the only other point we had was D and went on a solo sneaking mission. Down the southern side of the map, skirting capture zones. Every once in awhile an enemy would be running through and I'd just let them pass. I flanked all the way around A to run up the back road to B and set dynamite on the resupply station. Then I went around the corner and fired a pair of 'fausts at the back of the AA tank. He turned around and started backing up and I ran back to hide where I had line of sight on the supply station. He drove straight towards it and I blew that motherfucker sky high.
My team still lost and I probably should have been playing on flags but I'll be damned if that wasn't my greatest Battlefield moment so far.
Polled from here, reddit and a discord i'm in. Pretty 50/50 mostly. I intentionally didn't leave a middle option. I based on how split it is, I think a majority would prefer a slight change, but nothing too drastic to even it out.

It feels shitty to die to some tool prone in a corner but it really doesn't happen that often. The one frame deaths are a more common occurrence and need to be fixed yesterday.
ahh cmon, these black screens still happen frequently
I fucking love the Rotterdam start music so goddamn much and wish that every other in-game track was just as loud
I got BFV on the half-off sale and I really enjoy the core gameplay. There's a lot that needs to be fixed, but this game feels "right" in a way I haven't felt since BF3.

This motherfucker makes me wish all music in game was as loud as Rotterdam's round start
Does anyone feel like the comeback mechanic was bumped back up recently? I feel like my last few sessions have had a suspiciously large amount of games where my team controls 4 or 5 for most of the match then loses by tiny margins (<50 tickets) in the closing moments because my team can't get flags back fast enough.
Not really? The only major comeback I've seen recently happened in a Breakthrough match over a much longer period of time and not at the end of the match. I've had a couple close matches, but not anything that felt fishy and the team that was losing pretty much always still lost anyway.
These timed TOW events have made me really dependent on my console - realised I wont be able to play when travelling away over christmas
keep forgetting you can shoot at the grenades

I really hate how it still takes ages to exit a match and getting back to the main menu...
That and I'm really not looking forward to the last Tides of War week where the last assignment before you unlock the weapon requires you to win a Grand Operations. Not looking forward to spending roughly 1 hour playing 3 'days' worth of games and lose.
I'm seriously so confused as to why over half of the SMGs are basically the same tube on wood gun. They had a ton of other choices to go with, and they... all have unique models, so they actively chose to make them all the same???
Seems a problem of factions. They couldn't have a MAS because no French, couldn't have a Reising or grease gun because no Americans, couldn't have a Papasha because no Russian, etc. The only SMGs they can really add that wouldn't break that policy are the Lanchester or the Swiss Furrer, and even then the Lanchester is identical to the MP28.
That doesn't explain the appearance of the Thompson and the M1A1 carbine.
The brits used them though
There’s also a bunch of prototypes they could use... and Polish, and Italian
Both of those were used by the Brits, and the Thompson model in game specifically is the 1928a1 which was made for the Brits.
Yeah the lack of Polish and Italian weapons is interesting, it makes me hope we're going to get full fledged Polish resistance and Italian army forces added to the game.
