How to murder tanks 101:
2 dynamite + 1 PIAT shot = 50+ damage and an assmad tanker
PIAT reloads fast enough that you can usually pull off one shot and kill the tank if he didn't pop emergency repair. If he did, then try again except from the back as one PIAT shot at the back one two haymaker's their asses with 47 damage.
or you can plant 2 dynamites, throw an at grenade to blow them all up, then use a piat to finish them off immediately, not giving them a chance to react in the first place.
Don't detonate dynamites with explosives unless you have to. In BF1, dynamites did less damage when set off by other explosives, but I didn't get this tested in BFV yet.
Use the PIAT and get 90 degree rear shots, or if you can't do that, go for the turret because angle doesn't matter against turrers, and it has the same damage mod as a side shot (sme exceptions, like pz4 having a weaker front than turret).
Don"t miss and always have 2 spare rockets to fire.
I'm starting to think this common wisdom about turret damage is why incoming tank damage feels so inconsistent.
Any 2142 servers (EU) still up there with that revive community project or w/e ? As in, is it still worth getting ?
Best way to deal with tanks is to sneak up on them. If you just shoot the with your panzer they will panic and try to run and kill you. Sneak up, get the 3 Dyno on and a piat shot will usually do the trick. Bring an AT nade in case.
Strongly considering buying BFV now. As someone who liked the scale, spectacle and grit of BF1, how much of it has carried over? I let the beta pass me by unfortunately and despite watching many videos they aren't giving me a feel for it.
the lack of spotting takes a little bit to get used to, but once you've gotten used to it, visibility isnt as bad of an issue as everyone makes it out to be. Theres still a lot of issues with the game, like lack of content, lots of glitches and bugs that honestly shouldnt even be in the game (bipods flat out not working, progression on assignments soft locking) and they are lifting weapons straight from BF1 and porting them into the game instead of other WW2 weapons.
Overall i'd say the actual gameplay is pretty solid, when it works of course, if you are willing to bear the teething pains while DICE (hopefully) patches out all the major issues, $30 isnt bad for what the game offers
You can also completely circumvent the filter just by adding dick to everything.
Saw a guy randomly calling folks Faggotdick the other night
n----rdick was the go-to in my server
the luckiest shot of my life

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't turn on the killfeed for the sake of minimalism
Can you complete earlier tides of war challenges even if you missed them the week they were going? It seems to me that when i do earlier stuff the old challenges dont count that.
You can’t complete the assignments for chapter XP but you can buy the reqards with CC. When you gain chapter rank you unlock special assignments that gives you chapter XP too (if that is what you are looking for). I hope I’ll reach lvl 20 before the overture window is over but it’s really slow in the end - like, >100k per rank for rank 18, 19 and 20
Doesn't seem like you can buy VGO with CC but maybe im just blind. Thanks for the reply anyway.
You can, actually. It's around 1700 CC. You must've missed it.
If you go to Your Company and then go to the support class, select your current weapon. Under Replace Weapon you find the VGO and there is an option to buy it. It goes for 1700 CC as @DeltaSierra said
So I finally had a decent plane round and someone on the other team was none too pleased about it.

Ah thanks. I guess its cool if I blame their menus :P
Yeah, they really need to be overhauled - multiple weird multi-level menus. Sometimes with different ways of accessing them. For instance the weapon customization. One menu gets you to the cosmetic mods and another to both cosmetics and specializations
Ok now I just don't see the point of using heavy tanks at all when medium and light tanks are superior to them in every single way
Give them HE splash knockback and double or triple one-shot kill radius on top of max 10 damage taken from the front and maybe they might have an actual place in the game right now.
I don't know if it's been changed recently but the howitzer upgrade for the Churchill was fantastic last time I tried. A nice blast area able to kill multiple infantry each shot if they're close together, while also doing very high damage to enemy vehicles and to buildings. Unfortunately I don't think the Tiger has anything similar.
Bought the game yesterday, played some today but my game runs like ass on all settings it seems, just seems to stick at 50, sometimes says its running at 60 but doesn't feel like it at all any ideas?
the Ag m/42 is GREAT. it fires as fast as M1A1, has very low recoil, and seems to do a minimum of around 28 damage to the body, but has a small magazine and needs to be reloaded very often. not choosing the detachable magazine upgrade would be a mistake i feel. it has the same 2x scope as the Selbstlader 1906 available, and all of the scopes are set up in a similar way such that a clip reload is always possible
Tiger sadly does not have anything like that. For some reason it seems like the Brit tanks get all the good stuff. Staghound can get a Littlejohn and a Tulip rack or just an autocannon, Churchill can get the Howitzer, Valentine can get the 57mm gun from the tank destroyer, Churchill gun carrier can exist, etc.
My folks got me a new monitor for christmas, after using the same 59hrtz one for about 10 years.
I'm now at 144 and everything is obnoxiously smooth and I love it
Only thing that the German tanks get that I'd say is particularly interesting is Zimmerit since that makes you harder to dynamite.
The AP mine thing for the tiger is actually incredibly useful
Ehh zimmerit does not feel very useful, but the AP mine dispensers do.
I should have specified: Zimmerit is the only interesting upgrade that's unique to the Germans. Brits can get clearing charges which perform similar to the AP mine dischargers.
