About bloody time too, it makes no sense that Brits get an SPG that barely even existed while Germans somehow don't get their second most widely used vehicle of the war!
This is more or less what happens when you commit a studio to make a game about a setting that probably no devs present are interested in.
The disparity in vehicles is one thing, what gets me though is that the side that largely didn't use self-propelled guns/tank destroyers got a limited-production one while the side that used several (Marder, Hetzer, Stug/StuH, Jagdpanzer IV, Jagdpanther, Jagdtiger, I'm sure I'm missing one or two) didn't get one until post release.
well my previous post still applies. Doesn't take more than cursory knowledge to know that germany was the only major power that actually fielded dedicated TD's that early and stuck with them as a concept.
Given the char customizations seen in promo/alpha/behind the scenes footage and the videos above, what do you feel about some of them being locked behind boins? I suspect that reddit will explode as usual if some of the epic sets can't be acquired through grinding cc
Germany wasn't really unusual for using TDs and assault guns, it's just Britain and Japan were unusual for not. It really feels like choosing Britain as the initial allied force was a mistake, even if they want to stick to early war, France would be a better choice.
Would be worth it just to hear wehraboo tears over op french tanks.
Unless I'm mistaken soviet "tank destroyers" were SPG's that fit that role. Also, what specific TD's did the US use? Pershing is defined to be medium/heavy tank and i think didn't fit in their TD doctrine.
M10's, M18's, M36's, T28 was prototyped, argually the M8 Scott but that was more like an assault gun. No production casemate designs
I may be mistaken but I think germany's early "tank destroyers" were designed more under the assault gun concept, something that the soviets caught on to aswell.
The very earliest tank destroyers were literally just anti tank guns put on top of various chassis and called the Marder series, but Germany did have selfpropelled guns like the Stumpanzer I and II. Later versions of the Stug would go from a 75mm low velocity gun to a standard high velocity anti-tank gun when Germany started fighting on the defensive and needed to manufacture armored vehicles quicker.
Well, pre war we also had M3 tracks with 75mm guns. Also we had casemate artillery/assault guns like the Priest.
I was grinding this in War Thunder last night and somehow managed to completely forget about it
It's pretty much identical to the T48 already in the game anyway I suppose.
Also before the M3 75mm there was also the M6 Fargo

Literally a Dodge 3 quarter ton truck with a 37mm M3 cannon sitting in the bed.
That one headgear using a WW1 German sniper mask with a medic cross painted on it looks so fucking dorky. The rest look pretty cool though and there's some cosmetics in there I wouldn't mind shelling out money for, particularly the Baron Von Zorn set.
Hopefully we'll get a huge cosmetic update to coincide with the launch of boins next week.
That thing looks like it'd be a ton of fun in a battlefield game
The RSC actually works quite well as an aggressive Recon, it has terrible range (3-shot kill past like 200m) but has 6 shots, reloads extremely quickly, and fires quickly aswell. Up close it can be quite the monster.
Also I can never give up the spotting scope, simply because popping it out and quickly sweeping a general area can spot entire squads or even the entire enemy team depending on the map.
I'd say beep beep I'm a jeep, but we actually tested mounting 37mm AT guns on jeeps, and found the recoil tended to kick the front axle free of the vehicle.
If anyone runs into a clan with the tag [cg] just leave the game. Ran into a squad of them with all of them probably cheating:
Superiorities's Overview Stats
sheed4mvp's Overview Stats
Raekownz's Overview Stats
All of them only use semi rifles and if you look at their stats, 0% vehicle usage at rank 50. They only used transports to get to the objective before hopping out and killing everyone.
i mean, i have 0% vehicle usage at rank 50 as well so that's a silly criteria to go off of.
https://battlefieldtracker.com/bfv/profile/origin/bdydyd/vehicles
but yea, their other stats are suspicious.
Their accuracy looks pretty normal if above average when I look into it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're using softer cheats.
hows about throwing dynamite into remote buildings for no reason, shooting people through smoke perfectly, and being able to ping you from 200m with any semi auto. they absolutely dominate any map that has 0 vehicles because there's no way to kill them otherwise.
Says a lot about this games population that I've also run into cG a couple times. It's really hard to tell if they are cheating because the spectator cam is laggy as fuck.
For what its worth, here are Superiorities Battlefield 1 stats. If he isn't cheating then he is probably the best player in Battlefield. His accuracy is higher than some of the best legit players I know but not absurdly higher. His KDR and SPM are insane though.
Could be rolling with strictly wall hacks to avoid it being way too obvious. But the chances of an entire squad somehow coming together to be the top 1% in the entire world by skill is almost impossible.

oh look. Another fucking tube SMG on a wooden frame
The 20th century equivalent of 'oh look, another fucking AK/AR'
It's not like they're reusing shit either, they're just actively choosing to remodel almost identical weapons despite the fact that there's no way in hell we're getting certain nations that totally had completely unique weapons that they could add.
