Battlefield Franchise Megathread v"Seriously, nobody made a new thread yet?"

It has to be a graphics designer, like someone who does mockups. The BFV UI fails basic User Experience criteria like, number of clicks, or hiding information, and it fucking shows that whomever designed it is so ignorant of what makes a functional menu system
Has the middle second choice for plane specializations always been funnelled off to the right?

Flare gun is actually useful now. Spam that shit at chokepoints.
Yeah, kinda fucked me up on one of the Spitfires when I was grinding it.
For some reason after the patch only items with a common rarity can be purchased in the soldier customisation screen. Outfit cosmetics with a higher rarity aren't even listed at all.

the fuck is this shit
2019 AAA game UI code
They add new bugs when fixing the old ones to distract from the real issues.
Seriously though, I can't imagine that QA doesn't catch these, what the fuck.
Anyone else with a i5-6600k, GTX 1070, 16GB DDR3 or similar that can max any other game except for Battlefield V? Lowest settings and I can still reach 20 fps during intense moments.
BF V is killer for 4 cores and 4 threads. I had i5-7400 and it was wild ride between 20 and 60 fps, no noticeable differences between lowest and higest game settings in framerate/time. So especially for this game I bought AMD mobo and Ryzen 2600. You can try mess around with it, but I didn't tested it because I took this screenshot after cpu upgrade.

I love this game, like I really enjoy it. I just wish DICE would actually pay attention.
I got some really bad stuttering after updating BFV and my drivers to the latest Nvidia-ones and I found this:
Intelligent standby list cleaner v1.0.1.0 Released | Wagnardsoft
I let that run in the background and oh boy all the stuttering's GONE and it's so smooth and lovely.
I just wanted to share this since it was such a game-changer for me.
The program's made by the same fellas that made DDU, in case the name Wagnardsoft tells you nothing (like it did for me).
I'm enjoying it as well, but this latest patch made me think the same thing. There's still no autobalance, meaning I can still have servers that dwindle down to 24 vs 2 (literally), but golly gee I get to have killcam! Killcam that provides no benefit imo and adds another 5 seconds to my respawn time. Just lovely.

So much for free DLC, keep in mind that other unannounced vehicles I datamined are in the game files since day 1 but they're still drip feeding the new content to hide how rushed the ToW is.
Just in case it somehow wasn't bad enough that they didn't add the new weapons yet, or fix the assignment resetting glitches, or add a way to get coins once you're level 50.
I still find it really amazing how the UI keeps breaking like this.
Not just during new updates, but the entire UI/client just somehow has a complete breakdown and stops working altogether when your connection remotely does a fuck-up on top of somehow murdering the in-game audio. Just how fucking spaghetti is this UI
so another bug
aa flak turrets don't work properly against fighters.
for whatever reason, the detonation radius of the flak isn't working, so in order to damage planes you have to hit them directly with the flak round.
have fun dealing 0-6 damage on a plane flying straight at you in a line.
Also rockets still dont instakill planes sometimes. Had an "epic battlefield moment" actually become a flaccid one because the rocket hit the wing and only did splash damage and fucked the wing up.
Boy Squad Conquest just isn't fun at all huh.
Wow squad conquest is awful. A single extremely skilled player can just one side a game so easily. Obviously this gamemode is more focused on teamplay and the sorts but that doesn't exist when it comes to playing with randoms.
I'd be a lot more okay with it if the next two weeks weren't entirely focused around this god-awful game mode.
I actually had fun with squad conquest. In the 3 recent Squad Conquest matches, my squad and the 4 other teammates PTFO and had each other backs. The small team made me play carefully when assaulting a flag point and I have to rely on my 7 teammates, just like how they rely on me. Not only that but medic class are pretty good in this game mode due to the limitation of vehicle and small size of each map. The most revived I probably ever had compared to regular conquest and Operation.
Also my shitty meme made it into Jackfrags video:

Eh I think Squad CQ would be more fun if it had one more squad per team. The 3 maps for it are pretty fun and well designed in the whole lane management department. but with only 8 players, it's pretty much a guarantee that there'll be one portion of the map that'll be completely empty.
Not asking for 64p Rush fuckery, but one more squad would help to take out that one boring part of the mode.
So "Squad assist counts as kill" is broken. No matter how much damage you do to an enemy, if a squadmate kills them you only get an assist. It works normally for just normal teammates, but for squad assists its broken
Was playing some BFV and then got bored and booted up BF1 and there's such a difference, for every encounter with an enemy in BFV I have atleast 5 in BF1. I love the feel of BFV, the gunplay especially is great, but the rest of the game is just not good enough.
I FUCKING KNEW I WASNT CRAZY
Was flying around a bit on hameda and was just eating flak like crazy. I thought I was just getting shot by the worlds worst anti air squad
Every squad conquest I've had there has been a complete steamroll from one side. I'm glad that it only took me the minimum 4 squad conquest matches to be able to unlock the ZK-383, although I did complete the middle tasks on a regular conquest server avoiding the 15k squad conquest points task.
I understand the DICE point of view in requiring certain gamemodes to get people to actually try them to see if they'd like them, but most of the times it just makes the ToW item unlocking tedious for most players as it forces people into those gamemodes which they actually don't like to play. The worst tasks are the "Win one match in X gamemode" especially when you've had multiple winning matches before unlocking that task and then your team starts losing 7 in a row. And server switching just constantly puts you on the losing sides.
It seems to be at least partially the fault of them spending less than a full second on adapting the maps to the mode (mostly because they didn't spend a full second on the development of this mode as a whole). If you look at the spawn locations on the maps, every one gives one team a clear advantage from the start so plenty of matches are decided from the loading screen.
On Rotterdam for example the German spawn is equidistant from the far left and central points, while the Brit spawn is to the right of the far right point, so the German team will almost always cap the middle point before it's physically possible for Brits to be in range of it.
Its prime time to level that spitfire with the rockets, literally nothing can touch you due to flak tanks being obliterated by the rockets, and planes get out turned.
also panzers are supposed to one shot kill planes now but looks like it's not working either.

i'm just going to avoid gamemodes with planes in them for now until they fix this and aa flak being completely fucking broken.
