Criterion are great. They took the shitty ship combat of Battlefront and made it really good for Battlefront II, honestly one of the highlights of the game.
DICE is too busy fixing the game that was rushed through development.

Okay, I've got to say that trailer was pretty funny.
Yeah, it felt a bit bad company-esque - refreshing with some humour
Yeah, you can tell that they've had fun making that trailer and the shitfuck between the 2 houses in particular.
Anyway, it looks pretty good. I just hope the TTK and map won't be too fast and big as I can see this being a fun more grounded alternative to Apex.

Went back to Battlefield 4 recently - shit's pretty fun yo
Is BFV in a state where it's worth purchasing yet? You guys reckon it's going to be updated much in the future? From what I heard the game isn't doing that great on PC
General consensus is that the core gameplay is very fucking good, but everything sucks massive horse cock.
Here's quick good and bad list;
Good;
-Gunplay is BF3 tier good, is also the universal positive thing among everybody
-Vehicles overhauled and feel War Thunder-y, mostly good, but has some issues, particularly being a little bit too punishing once infantry close up on you or having too little ammo
-Graphics and audio are still excellent as per DICE
-Infantry movement feels better, just a few janky bits here and there related to geometry, slowly improving
-Premium pass omission ofc means everything is free
-Lots of core gameplay changes including; squad reinforcements for Red Orchestra-ish shit like artillery strikes and whatnot, fortifications system that can make or break certain defenses, greatly nerfed auto heal regen, 90% deletion of 3D spotting (floating icons), ability to revive any squadmate as any class. All of the changes makes a good squad stupid deadly and virtually invincible basically
-Despite bad press and 'bad' sales, game is still plenty populated and its not hard to find matches at all
-Unlike BF1, BFV actually has decent launch maps with only 1 or 2 stinkers
Bad;
-Missing features (dragging and survivable plane crashes in particular)
-Lots of cut/hidden finished content in the cosmetics side, most likely due to delaying of MTX and general dripfeed
-No community servers as of now, devs still considering
-Tides of War is a neat concept where you unlock new shit every week by doing assignments every 'season', but is also a convenient excuse for DICE to dripfeed like crazy as shown by Chapter 2
-A lot has been fixed since release, but game's still a bit buggy
-The UI is both buggy and is horrid enough to warrant a legitimate con for this game
-Lack of content due to above dripfeed and current map selection gets stale after 2 months
If I had to say anything, it's that BFV is definitely worth 30 bucks max. The game has excellent core gameplay, but quite literally everything else drags it down which will probably stay that way until it becomes a year old where the usual DICE games treatment of polish and content additions happen.
As for updates, they're gonna reveal the roadmap for Chapters 3, 4 and 5 (which is probably covering everything up until September or so if Chapter 2's length was anything to go by) along with launching another trailer and Firestorm next week. In smaller scales of things, the game gets updated with patches every month or even twice a month which greatly accelerated the polishing process that every DICE game has to go through.
That new mosquito is some hot overpowered bullshit.
I love how all planes have two copies with only differences in specialization tree.
Only like, half-off if you're really itchin' but even then. Honestly, I'd give it another 6 months.

@_RIley I mean, the guy was not your squadmate and he wasn't a medic, so he couldn't revive you even if he tried. But I'm more curious about the squadmate 7m away. Was that a pilot that bailed out or did he manage to somehow land his plane there?

First few weeks of Chapter 3 has Medic getting 2 new toys; De Lisle carbine and some Italian grenade launcher called the Tromboncino M28. Support gets the Lahti Saloranta M26 with the first 3 weeks dedicated to Firestorm with a new melee, facepaint and M30 Drilling skin
