It's really a case of speed vs. stealth, which is fine by me.
ooh the map is in Norwegian. Super strange wording though.
Is it strange as in bad wording/grammar or just old archaic stuff? I read something about the Norweigan in that era being kind of different to modern Norweigan, so it'd be interesting to know.
It just feels like someone directly translated it from English and fixed the grammar afterwards. A lot of words i'd never imagine any official Norwegian instance use.
Man fuck, I didn't have shadowplay on, but I think I've peaked in Firestorm 11 kills in a squads game with me soloing the last 3 people with the hilariously broken Auto 5 12G https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/265780/ff58f706-c232-4bf3-a09f-d8f00df29b07/firepeak.PNG stats page looks weird, but fuck I don't think I'll ever peak like that ever gain
...Not a single new weapon for at least three weeks in tides of war. Yeah I think I'm done
Damn, just had my first solo BR win ever. 6 kills. That's not too bad. Right, guys? ...right?
Firestorm is genuinely the most boring BR I have ever played
My problem with Firestorm is the same as Apex currently where 75% of people die in the early game brawls, leaving the mid-game to be mostly running simulator before having late-game be a clusterfuck of underequipped unlucky people going against overequipped assholes responsible for those 75% early deaths. On top of that, visibility can be pretty bad in the snow biome and the dogshit looting has costed me and my squad games multiple times now.
sadly true it's a shame because the map is really beautiful and i really like the gunplay in the normal gamemodes, but something about firestorm just feels awful. probably because there doesn't seem to be any aussie servers so i get like 200-300 ping. combine that with the longer TTK and the hit detection just feels awful and unsatisfying. picking up items sucks, the rounds are eerily quiet, the firestorm occurs too fast (imo), melee feels bad, and other things. after playing a bit of apex, firestorm is just dreadfully boring and unexciting.
imo I think firestorm would feel better with more players and if it would allow you to carry more armor plates as while the inclusion of objectives as a sure source of good loot is a great way to incentivize risk and subsequently combat, the current looting system and limitation of plates makes combat too much of a gamble where it's easy to use up all your plates and thus be very vulnerable in the next fight whether you decided to retreat or win the previous fight. Also the mode kinda needs just a little bit of optional battle chatter. It's way too quiet atm which makes fights kinda monotone audio-wise.

Is anybody else experiencing massive stutter after this last update, and if so, did you have any luck finding a fix for the problem? For me it's gotten unbearable, since every three to five seconds or so it freezes for about half a second, and it also happens when I fire my weapon or get shot at, or another player pops up in front of my view, while otherwise running at a stone solid 60 fps. I'm running on lowest settings with some config and driver tweaks, disabled superfetch, set my energy plan to high performance and all that windows 10 crap that, from what I could gather, can affect how the game performs in my machine, also I've done a clean driver install with DDU, but so far I've been unable to find the culprit. It's beyond frustrating being utterly unable to play this game while being able to play metro exodus on medium settings with no problems at all.
Some peeps have said that the recent Nvidia drivers specifically targeting Firestorm fixes these post-patch stutters, give em a try Not sure about AMD tho
Took a look at those posts, and tried to up it in size, since I haven't got an SSD to move it to, hoping that windows would offload most inactive applications to the page file, freeing up more RAM in doing so, but from what I could tell it had no effect at all on this crazy stuttering. Thanks a lot for the tip though, mate, messing with the page file was one of the few things I hadn't tried yet.

So I join a firstorm squad game and I can't seem to communicate, anyone else had this issue?

Holy fucking shit they're ridiculously expensive
I was really disappointed when I found out you couldn't buy stuff for CC through the Company menu anymore. Not only that, but also that you're forced to buy stuff in sets. I would rather buy individual items, even for boins, than be forced to buy complete sets for the current price.
I wanted to ask you guys if you prefer BF1 or BF5? I sometimes open up BF1 and I really like it, except the bullshit assignments (like win 10 games in domination, really, nobody plays that gamemode and it takes a long time) and stutters, which can be fixed by cleaning memory. Is there any reason to choose BF5 over BF1?
I prefer BF1, it feels more like a finished product (duh) and it plays better as a mindless jump in, frag some enemies and don't think about it kinda game.
Do those old Epic quality cosmetics that used to be available (like the Demolisher or Pit Crew stuff) cost only Boins now? They used to be available for CC before they got removed for some reason
They haven't been added back. I imagine they will cost battlebucks when they do return though.
If this is their way to monetize the game, they'd basically have to show that it's actually fucking funding development.
I disagree with any cosmetic being Bcoins exculsive.

Sorry Raidyr, I'm on phone and can't remove the accidental quote box I made months ago lmao Anyway, I agree on Epics being able to at least be obtainable via a huge grind, but I won't mind if Elites would be boins only as the effort put into those particular cosmetics (unique VA, much higher detail looks and faces) qualify them to be on par as character packs like in KF2 or Payday 2 to me. With that said though, I honestly don't get the boins shitstorm to be as big as it is as we've quite literally had free shit for nearly half a year now and the current monetisation approach is very similar to siege which is the one holy sheep that everybody seems to want every game to follow.
They have the same issue with Battlefront 2. They have SO MUCH cosmetic potential, but they just simply refuse to release a lot of skins. At least you can buy everything with credits.
How long has this game been released for, now ?
