I think it's a greedy way to attempt to make up for the lackluster sales.
Yeah, which is why I don't agree with Epics being boins-only. As for Elites, they have enough content in them to constitute a pricetag with unique VA, higher detailed models, unique melee and a unique best squad animation. It's certainly on par with Siege's Elite skins and people who unironically expected them to somehow be obtainable without a pricetag are a tad bit too optimistic to me.
It's not like it's funding more development, because I can guarantee that roadmap ain't fucking changing
PSA: If anyone has a GTX 1060 or 1660 or higher you can use DXR (raytracing) in BFV now with 425.31 WHQL https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
what was the point in the RTX card hype then? I guess they can run it at a decent FPS?
I think AMD got raytracing working on older cards which proved Nvidia was just generation locking new technology on their more expensive cards. So they backpeddled and let you use raytracing on GTX cards now but it definitely doesn't run as well as the newer cards for obvious reasons.
Pretty much, also DLSS only works on RTX. My GTX 1070 does surprisingly well at max settings/1080p with DXR on Ultra, at 70-90 fps.
Do you guys think a BF3 remake will ever happen or is that like an impossibility I just miss playing as modern day U.S. marines honestly The voice acting in that game was superb.
I find it amusing that we've now come full circle in becoming nostalgic over modern US marines when that's the thing everybody vomited on for being bland 3 games ago
The CoD playerbase has been the same way since jetpacks were added. People really miss modern warfare games.
Lol, this is my first time ever to see anybody accuse somebody of cheating and then apologize for it https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/78659/a4949660-7b0a-48ef-9d5c-23d599e073e7/cheatlol.jpg
Happened to me once too. I got a nice headshot kill on a guy through a couple of layers of smoke because he was silhouetted through it by a fire behind him. He accused me of cheating but when I explained what happened he apologised. It was refreshingly civil.
Okay, people teaming up in solo Firestorm is fucking bullshit.
The new carbine that's coming has a modern scope on it. What are you doing DICE
The Commando is pretty fun. Almost like a janky primary version of the Mk IV Revolver. The skins for it are also a huge step up as well with unique mesh assets taking up all of Rare variants now unlike the standard Chromed or Blue finishes we've had for previous guns. As for Grind, it's fun but it quite literally grinds you off and can be very frustrating at times much like the maps they tried to emulate with the mode AKA Locker/Metro cancer.
It feels like they are finally trying to give the medic some weapon variety, next month doc is also getting a rifle with a grenade launcher.
Played a few games of BF5 today, first times in months, and it just feels.... so boring. I really hope they move back to modern times, or take a break for a bit.
I feel like the made the gameplay for BFV more complicated than BF1 and not in a good way. BFV is a pretty big departure from the gameplay of 3, 4, and 1. And the time to kill is really weird to me.
Even if they switch eras again, it just feels... soulless. The improvements like fortifications are great, but it feels like they sacrificed literally everything else .
Much rather BFV's core gameplay than BF4 or BF1 where I got bored with those other 2 really quick unlike BFV. BFV's main issue right now is lack of content with the first map drop coming at the end of May. I went back to BF4 a few times and got bored very quickly with the monotone gunplay. Couple that with stealth nearly being non existent in BF4 via audio and 3D spotting along with the inferior movement and you have a game that gets very boring to me after 2 weeks of straight playing. BF1 felt too simplified in its mechanics for me to feel accomplished in doing well in it and the cancerous maps and explosives spam gives BF1 the lowest hours played for a modern BF game for me this far.
Im quite the opposite. I haven't had this much fun since BFBC2. The gun play feel much much better. On another note. God dam I wish there was more players for firestorm. Got into a game with 250 ping. Somehow made it to the 2nd last squad and got camped out by a hacker duo. They bad 20 kills between them and knew exactly where we were hiding.
imo BFV has the best gameplay of any BF game and easily the most potential, it just lacks the content to give it the variety it desperately needs from time to time. Regardless I've still racked up about as many hours on it as I did in BF4 which I played the heck out of.
For first time I tried HESH shell for Churchill with howitzer. They are fun as hell because of two-step damage factor (1-5 damage after hit, then real explosion after one second), but oh God, you need to aim at least one kilometer higher to hit anything futher than 300 meters.
I don't know what happened but the game basically died performance wise for me recently.
It didn't really die for me, but I do have fairly noticeable fps drops. Also, last night, I experienced probably the best bait ever. I was playing Grind and was the top player. At the end of the round, a guy called 0D0ntBlink0 joined the server and started accusing the top players of cheating and telling them that he'd report them. All I told him was "Sure.", the other guys were significantly more hostile to him and essentially told him to "git gud, noob". The next round, he had 60-something kills and 5 deaths. He also constantly taunted the people who told him off at the end of the previous round. I decided to check to his stats and he seems legit. He was also playing a medic with a tommy gun, so it's not like his score was impossible, especially in Grind, but holy fuck. I don't know why, but I seem to be accused of cheating quite often these days and it's usually for very mundane stuff, like killing somebody from behind or killing them with a headshot. I've been playing the game since it came out but I haven't been called a cheater until the last two or three weeks.

Still really appreciating the strong use of bright colours. The 20th century world wasn't just desaturated brown poop colours or black and white that everyone and their dog seems to believe. Anyway, you can see a tank depot on the left near the red car along the beach which p much conforms tanks. Something in my gut has always told me that this map would have no tanks for some reason.
Got my hands on the Lahti M/26. It's pretty fun but I really wish there was a specialization to either boost magazine capacity or reduce reload times, it just chews through ammo way too fast for a 20 rounder, but it does pretty decent damage, got 25 kills with it in my first match with it.
The LS26 ain't that special imo aside from feeling like a proper machine gun with its aggressive as fuck firing sound. It's inferior to the FG42 in CQC and definitely doesn't hold a candle to the Bren in longer ranges so I fail to see what sort of niche it seems to fill. The skins for it are fucking gucci as fuck though. Next week seems to be pretty packed; Elites are finally coming out and a new patch dropping on Tuesday with notes for said update on Monday. DICE is also apparently cooking up a separate roadmap for Firestorm which is a pleasant surprise imo. Community Manager also said that they'll be detailing the known roadmap further along with more info coming in May. https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/bhp87j/battlefield_v_weekly_debrief_april_26_squad/
All I care about is getting proper British uniforms. I'm sick of every British uniform being all American gear.
