So why the fuck did the first new gun come out for the support class instead of... the medic. You know? The class with the least amount of weapons, that has only one weapon type, of which 75% of them are more or less variants of the same gun? Like they knew that the game was releasing with only that much, they had to know that medic was just going to be shit?
I was really confused that there's not a stug already since Brits get the Churchill gun carrier, Germans don't have any equivalent. Also there are debris models of Archers and other tanks currently non playable.
i hate how you can't move the camera vertically at all in the third person camera of some vehicles. it doesn't make any sense why you can't do this. also the crosshair for the third person camera is super inaccurate. it's either use the first person camera with perfect accuracy but you have a tiny range of view, or use the third person camera with bad accuracy but you can see everything around you.
Some interesting shit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0mVfc7zdfE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_7YPXt8eRs You can use em by meleeing the moment you do the associated action. Would be nice if all of these get implemented into the game proper.
I watched this overview of Battlefield by this channel I just discovered today and I think it helped me clarify my feelings towards the game a bit. It's pretty nuanced and I recommend checking it out in its entirety. Don't look at the YouTube comments though, they're as cancerous as ever. https://youtu.be/Xqi6-G8CQFY
I have seen the ammo box throw animation trigger sometimes. I think it happens to me after getting revived. It's such a massive oversight that the boxes always play the place animation even when the box cannot be placed. Same for pouches acting weird and having to spam 3 just to make sure everyone is topped up.
It's worth to know all non-standard ammo for vehicles have different button, so you have two types of shell. Also, after reset of every specialisation (unlocked on level 4) you can assing all others for free, so it's like you are spending Company Coins only for first time unlocks. https://i.imgur.com/Ga16V37.jpg
Did anyone else get an update seemingly breaking the game? Origin refuses to DL to completion and seems my only option is full reinstall (which sucks).
Wow holy shit ouch they really buffed the fuck out of the Sturmtiger compared to the beta Got one-shotted quarter a map away as a Valentine while getting 90 HP deleted off on a frontal shot as a Churchill. Good lord do I panic like fuck now when I see that stubby fucking unit.
@Codemaster85 , @Stiffy360 , thanks for playing with me! https://youtu.be/sQaCaF2LkJ8
https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/a5fa7u/battlefield_v_ttk_change_list_12122018/ Notes for the TTK update tomorrow Basically everything aside from Recon needs one more bullet to kill at range via bodyshots. Assault's DMRs got a mega smack by needing one extra bullet to kill at nearly half the current range which will probably make the Gew and Turner feel like shit. MGs got castrated and will need 5 shots minimum to kill and can go up to 7 shots at 50 meters+ Honestly, these changes sound pretty bad and I'd rather they increase the CQC TTK and ditch the neutering of ranged damage.
It's widely accepted within the community that the current TTK values feel 'dialed in' or is 'perfect as is', and that the elements that need to change are those that impact TTD (Time to Death), such as netcode, health models, etc. It's important to note that both TTK and TTD are closely intertwined. Making one change to TTK directly impacts TTD, and vice versa. "But, why futz around with TTK when it's ideal at its current state?" Although not extremely vocal within our deeply engaged community, we see from our game data that the wider player base is dying too fast leading to faster churn - meaning players may be getting frustrated with dying too fast that they choose not to log back in and learn how to become more proficient at Battlefield V. "We know that everyone likes the current TTK but fuck you, we've got data instead."
I really would like it if you got grenade alerts for airplane bombs. It wouldn't change anyone's ability to avoid getting bombed, it would just lead to a lot less frustration and confused when getting killed by bombs because you'd know what was killing you before it happened.

I thought the issue with TTD was the one frame kills that happen every once in awhile. ie run around the corner and get dropped by an STG/Sten bodyshot. The TTK is fine, it's higher than previous Battlefields but players need time to adjust. Also holy shit whoever recommended the 37mm upgrade for the Flakpanzer is on point. I reset to try it out and it annihilates both infantry and planes. I haven't tried the 3x Oerlikon upgrade on the Matilda AA yet but so far the Flakpanzer kicks the shit out of British AA. "Cringe" is overused nowadays but I actually had to stop watching this when the fake glass effect showed up. How embarrassing.
Lmao why are they so dedicated to adamantly pissing people off, hoo boy.
Man, the war stories are kind of shit if only because they try to cram in a sob story in the same time it takes to complete one standard Call of Duty mission.
imo ttk is too fast rn and I never liked it, but even then having to blow more ammo on a guy in a game already trying to be stingy with ammo and generally small mag sizes sounds a bit dumb Im still reserving judgement cause imo BF4 had the best ttk but you also had like 999 bullets and 9991 bullets in the mag and every gun was exactly the same
"You think you want X, but you don't. Also we broke feature Y oops."
tbf the TTK only feels fast for the victim due to a netcode bug that makes some deaths literally 5 times faster than they should be TTK on the shooter's side is absolutely fine and if TTD was working as well as TTK, then we'd be seeing and experiencing more instances where we can actually recognize and maybe even react to being shot as opposed to now where even I give up mid firefight when I see enough muzzle flashes directed at me as the netcode won't keep me up with the damage I've endured.
What the fuck are they doing. "yeah we noticed some players didn't like the game and stopped playing, so we decided to make the game more for them, based on quiet data". RIP medics and RIP my fun playing as support.
Unpopular opinion but I'm okay with assault semi-autos being toned down a bit, I feel like they are sort of oppressive, and are honestly better DMR's than anything Recon gets. The M1A1 Carbine in particular is absurd. I picked a scoped one up on Twisted Metal and went on a 13 kill tear before running out of ammo.
I'd be on board with that, and also a bit with some of Assaults weapons, simply because they take up the space of both Assault and Medic (esp obtrusive when medic only has one weapon type). But this "across the board" solution honestly wasn't needed.
I would still much rather see Recon rifles get buffed over having Assault DMRs getting neutered. Nerfing is always going to feel and look like absolute shit while buffing not much so. Also, MMGs should take maximum 5 shots, not minimum 5 shots unless they magically unfuck the bipod system and made it so that if you're prone or have an object below mouth level in front of you equals to can ADS no matter what. Seeing the German MGs get neutered in any sort of way makes my blood boil.
Yeah nerfing MMG is complete bull. Like you're already at a huge disadvantage in an assault so you gotta stay back. Now the primary usefullness will be spending an ammo belt so you can suppress spot people.
On the positive side I can see an immediate benefit from removing the "spotted on kill" feature/bug with the last patch. Makes surviving while holding flags much easier.
There was something like that? No wonder it felt like everyone had wallhack.
It's very obvious that they don't know how to fix the TTD issues so they're going to piss everyone off. Thanks Dice
The Panzer 38 autocannon is absolutely beautiful, it has a bit less per-shot punch than the standard 37mm but the sheer volume of fire it provides is insane, it never has to reload short of resupplying, and it has multiple hundred rounds at its disposal. It's basically a superheavy machine gun.
