Uh, Alpha, you okay dude?
I wasn't calling you stupid or anything man, was just saying that pros can make mistakes when a game first comes out. I'm not sure why you're so intensely hostile from that but chill man :S
why do anyone other than pro players care about tiers
i just want to have fun beating people up as mario
chill out
Seems that a few top Melee players enjoy Ultimate.
Plup is currently ranked first in Global Smash Rank.
It's kinda fun seeing where your character ranks.
Unless you're a dedede main. Then you want to wear a blindfold and cry.
nobody's forcing you to look at tiers, why do you care that other people care
I want Cuphead to be one of the DLC characters!
As much as I shouldn't base my character decisions on tiers, I also don't want to "waste my time" with a character if it won't be fun to use them without getting destroyed. I also use them to decide who's top tier and try to only have one, so they have the opposite effect too. This is all on me and my psyche, though.
"You thought it was going to be Banjo or Steve? IT WAS I, CUPHEAD, ALL ALONG!
so you can main a low tier and if you fuck up you can simply say "damn my character suck..."
I don´t think I have mained a character in ANY game where the character in question were above middle/low rank.
Except demoman
Some people have fun beating people up as Mario. Some people have fun with the competitive aspect of the game, including figuring out which characters and options are strong and why. The latter type of player can still enjoy the game just as much as the former.

Seems that Alucard was intended to be a fighter
when it came time to add new content Sakurai says his choices were limited.
Is he talking about Castlevania content, content from the ballot, or content overall?
I'd say he means new content overall because so much was dedicated to bringing back older characters and existing stages etc.
I'd assume he means that he couldn't pick all three, despite the fact they all had their own pros and cons.
He went with the safest pick, Simon, and probably had to really pull some strings for Richter too. Alucard would've reeeeaaaaally been pushing it.
tierlists are formed in tournament settings, there are a lot of cases where a character is good but ends on the lower end of said list because of shit like bracket "luck" which is only one of many factors that has no bearing on your decision if you're not planning to play the game competitively
Simon and Richter was a really smart pick, I think. Richter has a sizable fanbase who were surprised he made it because he wasn't "the face" like Simon and made great usage of the Echo concept. Alucard is really fun to play in SotN and he would've been great in Smash but SImon/Richter are more versatile and iconic in representing more about the series. Plus I love that it lets them represent two different eras of Castlevania in a way. I think it goes without saying that I would love if they had done something similar for the Joker DLC Pack even if it's a bit of a stretch to make a demon summoner work the same as a Persona fighter.
every single time I load the page I hear wario clapping and screaming why does it autoplay
Whatever the site is doing to make reddit embeds autoplay needs to go. I've been confused so many times when I'm watching a video on one monitor and I suddenly start hearing a random embed playing from one of my FP tabs.

I really like playing wii fit trainer
Marth sees people in tier lists.
Also those are the Ultimate stock icons.
Not actually sure what this title refers to.
On that subject, I'm sure this has been discussed already but how many music tracks do people think each fighter will come with?
I know a lot of people want basically the entire P5 OST to come with Joker but realistically, what songs you think he's most likely to come with (besides the obvious one Last Surprise)?
How does the GSP works? It bugs me out, the roster gsp is 1.1M, unused character is around 400k, easiest time starting online at and playing against 4-500k, harder at 30-40k, and winning or loosing on quickplay would affect gsp from just a little to nearly 25% of total points. Its kinda weird, is it a sign of something i am doing wrong or i should just ignore the gsp system overall?
what
the higher your GSP the more people you "outrank" -> High number = epic gamer. The lower your GSP is the less skillful/"new" people you will face. GSP rises heavily early afaik but once you reach like 1.400.000 the amount you lose and gain is like 50k~ per win.
(Ken) Light utilt > Jab 1 > Jab 2 > Light crazy kicks > Microdash H DP
Sadly I can't test this on DI away, but you can make the dash longer and it'll still combo, so it should work. This works at any % up until crazy kicks starts sending them too far and also has some different % specific enders.
