if I shorthop neutral special and **turn around** one more time I think I might get brain damage Id be lying if I said handling certain quick motions in this game feels like trying to skin a potato with a spoon
This happens when you release the stick and the force of the spring causes it to travel far enough to register an input on the opposite side. Kadano has a Smashboards post on how to fix this by adding a capacitor. It can also go away over time as the spring weakens.
Don't most games try to filter and reject these kinds of noisy inputs?
There's not much you can do to distinguish it from an intentional flick back.
You are supposed to jump after and finish the job.
mind throwing me a link? Because the shorthop dedede succ is pretty good if you dont turn around that is
The glitch at 5:30 is real weird https://youtu.be/n2ADcQsZ-yg
I couldn't reproduce the situation in training mode. PK Freeze never kills at that low of a percent.
Maybe you screwed up some DI in a unfortunate way or some other combination of bad circumstances aligned, who knows.
Is there a earthquake on this page for anyone else, wtf
It's the sakurai article, news embeds cause seismic activity for whatever reason
I have tried everything. I put Lucas at 200% and I DIed towards the edge. There's no way. I think the other player might have raised the launch force in their custom rules.
To get better at Olimar I've been trying the Solomar challenge and man his nair is so useful when you have no Pikmin left and his tilts are surprisingly good
The capacitor mod is described at the bottom of this post.
Probably also explains why there's no moves that stand out as a "they didn't even fucking try to playtest this" move, like Pac's grab or Cloud's u-air in 4.
I unembedded it so it should fix itself.
Thanks, it was giving me a crazy headache lookin at it.

... Wait a second, there's no Stadium section in Ultimate? Friggin' hell, they really did focus almost entirely on the versus content outside of Spirits, didn't they?
Ok so Zelda does the smug face too when she grabs opponent. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/210969/f17b4e1f-981b-4d88-af52-c001040dc258/2018122316260600-0E7DF678130F4F0FA2C88AE72B47AFDF.jpg
You think that's bad, remember "ink dropping"?
Is this game is approachable for a total newcomer? It looks like a lot of fun but I've never played any of the other titles, or been good at stuff like street fighter or mortal kombat.
Very newcomer friendly. You can play it competitively or, how it was intended, a party game. Controls are ver simplistic where you just use A and B and just tilt the control stick to do different moves.
Very much so! Hope you have a blast.
