in case anybody is still playing on console, there's a new years-only event runing for 24 hours (probably like 12 by now) where you hunt 4 big mosswines, with one huge final mosswine at the end. oh and they also kill you in 1 hit. 54k zenny reward, with rare possibility for faux tickets, golden eggs, and heavy armor spheres.

I hope we get a Arch Tempered Jagras at some point. Or something similar, like King Jagras. Not like the USJ event, altho the mini Jag is adorable. Even Mosswine got better treatment then Jagras.

Ugh, couldn't beat AT Val Hazaak before the event ended, and now it's an endless struggle to defeat Behemoth with randoms. Everyone I've met seems to have the motions figured out though (wide area, handling charybdis etc.) which is a big plus, it's just that we always seem to die in the second or third area.

Are Kulve GSes even worth getting? I thought the Wyvern Ignition was the GS to get. But I guess that's a bit boring.

Unfortunately no. I'm pretty sure were gonna have to wait till Iceborne to ever get a better GS.

They should just make elements not suck on gs.

Considering the Kjarr weapons I wouldn't be surprised if we get elemental buff when Iceborne comes out. As well as an actual use for the fire weapons.

In all honesty the meta builds are just if you wanna get the fastest clear times and all that shit. You can build whatever as long as you build around it. It's just the meta ones are the best of the best.

Holy fucking shit Ahtal-Ka is the coolest monster I've fought in the game by far. I had a general sense of what was going to happen going into the fight but god damn did it exceed my expectations. Goddamn I hate this monster. It's super-fast and seemingly kills me in 3 hits. First monster that killed me twice. Ones before it did like 1/10 of its damage. I guess I just suck.

Tobi-Kadachi's the first monster to teach you proper positioning and punishing in response to an attack. He hits hard, but his mostly straight-on attacks mean you can dodge to his side pretty easily. His weakest point is his tail, further pushing you to work your way around his attacks to deal the biggest damage. If you just run some circles around him, you should see some good opportunities open up.

Wow, Arch-Tempered Teostra was the single least fun thing I've ever done in this quest. Made me wish I was fighting Lavasioth. I look forward to ignore every other Arch-Tempered monster if they're all this unfun to fight.

With a water bow he's basically just a regular teostra.
