Sonic Robo Blast 2 has recently had a spin-off fangame called Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart, a unique take on the kart-racing genre. The game, based off Doom's engine, is highly moddable, allowing you to add your own characters and courses. I really wish they'd add AI aside from ghosts to it. The tracks have a lot of detail, but racing alone when there are items and a big ol map HUD makes it seem lonely if you just want to try tracks out.

Damn, Smash Bros Ultimate's nearly the top selling worldwide game and it only came out 2 months ago!

I've avoided bitching about Switch Online because everyone's already heard (and most agree) with everything I'd say about the paywall for shitty P2P and a dripfeed of NES games we've all bought at least twice, but fuck what the hell is Nintendo thinking. I still haven't bought Smash and I haven't played Splatoon since the paywall went up, and I'm rapidly losing my interest in this console after loving it for a year. Nintendo what the fuck are you doing why are you ruining the best shot at gaining ground since the Wii

Well, this is what people wanted. PS4 switched from a free to a paid online model and was the best-selling system of Gen8. Wii U was the lone holdout of free online and was a major commercial flop. Combined with #FireIwata, true gamers sent a powerful message. Nintendo's just catering to gamer demand and stepping in line with the rest of the industry. Higher monetization is in right now, haven't you looked at the AAA segment?

Honestly I'm fine with stuff like Dr. Mario on mobile. The controls are simple enough that you can provide the full experience without compromising anything. I'm not a fan of the potential monetization that comes with mobile games, but from a gameplay perspective it'll likely have a straight and smooth transition.

It's probably going to have typical mobile puzzle game microtransactions. You're going to have "energy" that depletes every time you play, and you'll have to wait for it to recharge, or pay money to instantly recover it. There's probably also gonna be powerups that you can pay for, too, like pokemon shuffle.
