that already came out on wii u. its time for 3
The game will apparently be a "nice fit" for the online program. I'm think either Mario Maker 2, F-Zero, or that rumored Star Fox racing game.
Zelda II Remake similar to Samus Returns. Feel like that game needs a bit more love thrown at it and would be a great mid-game between BotW and the next Zelda.
A Nintendo Allstars Warriors game would be fucking awesome Though more like Hyrule and nothing like FEW please
Come oooooon Switch reboot of Wii Sports Resort with online functionality.
Real talk, how the FUCK did Nintendo not come out with, like, Switch Sports? It's a console that has two controllers by default, their motion controls are about as good as they're ever gonna get, and you've got that wild-ass haptic feedback. Instead they went with 1, 2, Switch, which feels like some Christian Day Camp ass "the real game is your ~imagination~!" shit. Wii Sports made the Wii the most profitable console of its era because holy fuck it's like I'm really boxing my grandma right now, I'm amazed they didn't try to pack in an HD Remix of the most popular Wii Sports/Resort games for an extra $20 at the very least.
No kidding - plus, you'd have the portability aspect too.
Imagine how good of a spin Nintendo's marketing could put on that. "Oh, you're making fun of that part in the Switch trailer where a bunch of people go outside to play NBA 2k19? Well now you CAN go outside to play SPORTS."
I think they didn't put out switch sports because nobody bought the Wii u one
Nintendo Switch's current tracking is looking to have a pace good enough to hit 100 million lifetime: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DyOibaqX0AAvlBI.jpg
Because nobody bought a WiiU. It's depressing how far Nintendo has fallen in such a short time, and even on their climb back up with the Switch they're fucking things up. From "Wii want to play" to "[joycon docking sound]". The snap sound and matching logo animation is iconic, sure, but it is a symbolic reference to the Switch's hybrid portability and versatility, while the entire "Wii want to play" marketing campaign emphasized how much fun the whole family could have with Wii, pretty much every time. Switch's core marketing is kind of like "this is a video game console, you've seen one of these before, but ours can do this docking thing", and then the focus is mainly on the games themselves -- with the exception of 1, 2, Switch (groan) and Labo (Labo is fucking amazing if you're a kid with parents rich enough to afford expensive templated cardboard). I feel that, with the exception of Labo, Nintendo has lost sight of what really made the Wii the stealth heavyweight of its generation: selling the console as a device for everyone. Endless Ocean was an underappreciated neat game that was really chill, and the Switch's hardware could really do a series reboot/third installment justice especially with the ability to "swim" with the joycons if you wanted (since they're not connected by cable where the nunchuck was) but I feel like that's never happening unless Nintendo suddenly detects and decides to respond to strong fan demand for the not-EA-microtxshit sports games that carried the Wii into millions of homes that wouldn't have otherwise bought one.
I think not enough people recognize how much the indie game push is helping the Switch. Sure, it's become a joke that every developer gets asked "switch port when" but there's a good reason for it.
I'm buying indie games on the Swithc that I would have never considered getting for any other platform, for some reason.
legit the only reason i wanted a switch was to catch up on indie games i'd been hesitant to get on pc and ps4 because i wanted to play them in bed or while out. the portability of the switch makes it the absolute best console for all the indie titles that have come out in the last 5 years and i'm really surprised with how many games aren't already on the switch.
I wouldn't have bothered with Shantae if it wasn't for Switch. The PC versions are the ones I'd most likely purchase but going on vacation and playing in short breaks made it so much more appealing.
I get the feeling that it would compromise on a lot of the things I liked about the original, like the high difficulty and tight physics and focus on pure swordfighting plus the magic system, but I'd be very interested to see a modern take on it because they would probably incorporate the modern Zelda elements into it. Items, puzzles, and more inventive dungeon designs rather than simply action-focused gauntlets. I'd expect more of a reinvention of Zelda 2 than a straight remake. Maybe replace the RPG style overworld with traditional top-down Zelda gameplay to mix the two. Although I'd honestly be most interested in seeing a full 3D take on the game.
all the games i've bought for the switch are games that are either only for the switch, or is the latest version of a game from a previous console i didn't own (like hyrule warriors definitive edition)
What are the SP versions of the NES games on the switch?
