I didn’t think this one needed a remake, I still have my DS cartridge…

the process is long, arduous and risky, and i definitely do not recommend it to anyone. however, i am now playing botw in 1440p downscaled from 4K, at 72FPS. with my progress from the switch intact.
was it worth it? no.
is it cool as HECK?
oh yes.
That's also conveniently the price for a Switch Online family plan. I wonder if they're doing this to get people to try out online by giving them enough for one years worth.
I really wish you could play these remakes with the original graphics. I mean I want the new scenarios, but the updated graphics do nothing for me.
There seems to be a concentrated effort to strip the Mario RPG games of what makes them unique, and I just don't understand it.

I think some of the changes are good because they are more consistent with the rest of the games (such as the Koopa's looks), but they should have kept skeleton DK and Geno.
Geno’s completely understandable though, as if I remember correctly, Nintendo doesn’t fully own the rights to Geno, if at all. Square does.
As for the skeleton, I’m fine with either one really. Heck, I (personally) kinda prefer the one in the remake by a tiny margin, especially since Dry-DK basically means that in the Mario & Luigi RPG universe, DK’s fuckin’ dead. And I don’t think I can get behind that idea.
Again though, that’s just me.
I gotta disagree. The original spritework in Mario and Luigi was super charming and defined the series as its own thing. It was like a new Saturday morning cartoon Mario.
If I wanted New Super Mario Bros koopas and such I'd just play one of the many, many New Super Mario Bros.
Shit like this makes me frustrated.
They literally changed like 6-7 sprites in the game and suddenly it's ruined forever. Comparisons like this are even worse in Bowsers Inside Story where almost nothing got changed at all. It's nitpicking for the sake of it.
It sucks that the toads got turned into simple red ones and a few of the characters lost their "toon" style (it's so they can fit into the stupid minion mode) but they didn't suck away the soul on everything like /v/ would lead you to believe.
Considering the the base Xbox One version of KH3 is 720p, and barely hits its 60fps cap, I don't think a switch port would be very feasible.

This guy has had a very clean track record of leaks (Pokemon Let's Go, TWEWY, Nindies Showcase)
Other things stated by the guy are:
There are a bunch of announcements coming this year but am not sure when.
Spoiler: 2019 Games
Including Pikmin 3, Maker 2, Boxboy, and of course the 2D Zelda and Pokemon.
MPT probably will be at the Direct.
I'm surprised they are supposedly doing Mario Maker 2 this year, since I figured it would be longer with them wanting to suck up as much profit from NSMBU Deluxe as they can.

Investor Q & A. Talks about female devs in their offices, partnering with LINE for Dr. Mario World, and the future of game development.
Well, assuming that SMRPG and M&L share a timeline, then there are a ton of DK-shaped kongs in existence:

So what do you guys think is the unannounced Switch title that coming this year?

Honestly, I'd love to see another new IP. Splatoon and ARMS are very charming and interesting.
I'm guessing you meant Prime Trilogy instead of 4, although I wonder if Prime 4 was supposed to be the main attraction this year and the problems with development have messed up release schedules greatly...
Oh right, I forgot about that. Still though, we are getting some big name games. People have been waiting for Animal Crossing for god know show long, and a mainline Pokemon on Switch is really big.
1. Mystery game #1
2. Mystery game #2
3. Mystery game #3
4. Mystery game #4
Shocking!
I just really want Mario Maker on the Switch. I shouldn't have to dig out my Wii U to play it.
I'm sure this is only the five thousandth time this question has been asked, but how do y'all feel about those PowerA Pro-style wireless controllers?
Idk Pokemon is a pretty big main attraction to a lot of people, and it’s coming towards the end of the year. Depending on how much they revamp the series it could hold its own as the main attraction.
Don’t forget we also have Luigi’s Mansion 3 this year as well!
Emily Rogers today posted a new blog
Already one sentence in and I'm going to tell everyone to stop right there. Just because ripping some info from French journalists and getting the info for Let's Go correct doesn't excuse the smattering of incorrect guesses and information that precedes it.
Well fuck me I guess.
Why are people still listening to Emily Rogers or any of these other "leakers"? Have they not thoroughly proven how untrustworthy they are at this point? I'd much rather cut all the bullshit of comparing claims and "evidence" and just wait for the official announcement instead of dealing with all these random people whose qualifications include getting like one thing right months ago and having a twitter account.
Starved for news and will buy anything. No idea wtf Nintendo is doing
There's rumors of a direct this week. Here's hoping.
A lot of these leakers have fairly proven track records. Emily Rodgers has had a better record than most, and the guy who's been tracking the next direct has had a 100% success rate - so far.
People listen because they want to hope. As long as you don't get too invested into them, there's really not much danger.
