At least they prepped us for a spotlight this time, unlike that one Direct where that character from Xenoblade 2 went over every last meticulous detail about the combat system and refused to ever shut up.
Can't wait for the vitriol and bile from the Smash fandom because they are allergic to anime and Sakurai getting even more hatemail because the direct isn't 100% catered to them
Eh it's more that directs mostly focused on a single game tend to suck, and with the drought of games the switch is suffering at the moment you'd kinda hope for a bunch of shit to look forward to, not possibly 10-15 minutes of what I can only assume will be more Waifu Emblem.
Kind of like that one old direct that wasted way too much goddamn time on XC2 talking about cities and factions and gacha systems and oh my god who cares.
My expectation is something Splatoon 2 related, unless they're delaying the new weapons till April and the West isn't getting the free demo week.
It would be nice to see some pokemon gen 8 news.
Highkey hoping for some more information on Daemon x Machina, launch date, more info on the features or story, just anything, even a tease.

It's Fire Emblem season babyyyyy. It sucks that FE is the first direct we get in 2018 but we just gotta wait it out.
It's probably good that they addressed metroid prime 4s development issues a few weeks before this though.
As much as I'd love a switcharoo and it turns out to be a massive nintendo info fuck fest involving all the heavy hitters, that's just setting myself up for disappointment. We'll see tomorrow though.
