Nintendo tends to be very good about repairs even after warrantee has expired, so long as the problem isn't "I threw this at my wall/into my bathtub and now it's broken".
I've tried that, but I found the English patch too lacking for me to play comfortably and the game itself just felt too cumbersome to get up and running due to having to use a VPN to get past the IP block on the launcher every time.
It is quite a shame that in the initial localization of Pokémon, Pikachu is one of the few names we left untranslated from the original Japanese, because we missed out on one of the most fortuitous puns that mankind could've ever conceived of.

Yoshi now has a release date: https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1082804144698585088

I suppose a direct isn't happening then?
Makes me wonder if there was originally suppose to be a Direct this week, but it was cancelled.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJb8KSG1q74&t=0s Also there is only two games this month, This is what happens when you criticize Nintendo Online.
I am surprised they are putting Blaster Master on the service considering the remake is on the eShop.
The utter disrespect Yoshi's Island is getting makes me sad. The first one on SNES is my favorite game of all time and since then it's like they're not even trying. Seriously, we get a low effort puppet show ad and a story trailer with no gameplay. The framerate even drops at 1:20.
Yoshi's Island feels like they didn't really have any idea what to do with the series after the original so every game since has been trying to relive the magic without really doing anything to revolutionize it. Yoshi doesn't really seem to have any kind of identity so arts and crafts has eventually just fallen onto it and I guess that's what it is now.
Forgot this was thing too. https://twitter.com/Nintendo/status/1082808825327976448 First response to it is asking for Air Ride port.
Not to mention that the game is coming out right before the end of the quarter- them showing the opening now as a tease just cements my feelings that the game won't be great. Also, to all Nintendo Online owners- you can download the famicom app with a Japanese account off the Japanese eShop and gain access to three games this month instead of just two. Dissapointed that the NES game schedule is being stuck to so rigorously that a famicom only game means we get 2.
oh shit we can finally officially play Joy Mech Fight on an American console! It's one of the few NES games that are still worth checking out today I think.
Ah, yes, the most recognizable Pokemon in America: Mouzap
that 'fur' texture or whatever that the characters have got looks kind of bad, and i think it will age really horribly
https://youtu.be/dvQmE0iwWNw I got to thinking after the watching this how pretty close the cast of Kirby and Aqua Teen are to each other.
Wrong.
Well if you got a better one, then tell us!
Well think about it. Pikachu's name is made up of two onomatopoeias. "Pika" for the noise of crackling electricity, and "chu" for the noise a mouse makes. Take that exact same setup with those same exact noises, but use English words for them. Try to figure it out.
dude just say what you mean
You're no fun. Zapsqueak.
You know Game Freak might fuck up a lot by dropping universally acclaimed mechanics between gens, unrelenting gen 1 pandering, and subpar performance, but at least they didn't name Pikachu Zapsqueak.
Yoshi's Wooly World was surprisingly good (not amazing but pretty good), so I'm still holding out that Crafted World will be decent at least.
Considering that it translates to "Sparklesqueak", perhaps it's for the best it wasn't.
I mean at least Peepspark, come on
Well that sorta works too. It's supposed to be a pun on "pipsqueak".
As long as we establish that if Pikachu got a westernized name, that they'd totally have gone with Kilorat for Raichu.
Peepspark -> Zapsqueak -> Kiloratt?
