OOh good to hear they focused on the 60fps battle optimization.
I might pick it up then. I was afraid it would be a downgrade but pleased to hear that!
Now I'm probably gonna butcher the quote, but I remember one of the commenters said on Twitter regarding the artist "You built the road and we came running." If that ain't an inspirational quote then I don't know what is.
Bought a Switch and a few games, Wolfenstein II being one of them, and holy crap, I cannot believe they got Wolfenstein II running on this thing. Sure, the FPS tanks occasionally (and it running 30 FPS already sets the bar low) but I'm still completely amazed that I can play this type of game on a handheld system, with no sacrifices except visually.
I really hope Nintendo keeps going in this direction with their future consoles. I wasn't sure what to think of the Switch initially when it launched, but now that I've got it I'm really loving how I can just play it anywhere, but still get the home console experience if I want it.
NSMBUDX is par for the course on 2D Mario. Picked it up since I missed the Wii U. It's generally fun, and the inclusion of both games is a nice bang for the buck though $60 is high. I enjoy the 2D Mario titles, but the NSMB line is feeling stale. If Nintendo does another 2D title, they need to find a way to iterate big time. While I was playing I thought that I would like to see the traditional 2D world's take cues from Odyssey with dramatically different art styles, non-traditional Mario worlds (such as city, moon) and re-theming existing worlds like traditional desert being meso-american inspired. Odyssey's 2D sections also bent the rules of traditional 2D Mario especially with manipulating gravity, I would to see more things like that.
I was disappointed to find Luigi U recycled the world map from Mario U, it almost feels like a slog to work through the same board again.
I am planning to pick up Tropical Freeze in the near future.
Y'all dumbed this but be honest. Name me a Yoshi game you liked besides the first two.
Shame on you if any of you haven't played Tropical Freeze.

That's a pretty good lineup of games. Now watch as they dripfeed us these a game or two every month, and they won't start putting out the SNES games til November.
I'm surprised to see super Mario all-stars in there. I think it was only rereleased on the Wii.
I question some of hose not being on the SNES Classic from the very start, but this is a great line-up of games. I'm honestly more surprised in just Super Mario All-Star where Nintendo had the audacity of charging $20 for the Wii.
Nintendo would be doing themselves a favor if they dumped a majority of those snes titles quickly rather than a 30 year plan. Would put a little bit more faith in people for virtual console support.
But that is markedly in the "wishful thinking" territory.
No kirby super star? Aw.
But Kirby Super Star is in the list?
Weird that Earthbound isn't there, I'm thinking they will release it on Mother's 30th anniversary? Maybe a collection of 1, 2 and 3?
it's right there dude

I skipped the NES controllers because they always felt wonky to me, but for SNES i might bite.
All-Stars feels like an odd choice to me because I would have expected them to just release all the NES versions of the games separately (and because half of them already are released for Online).
I for one am happy because it's the only US release of Lost Levels (SMB 2 JP), which I assume that's the reason to release it.
I just want Mario 2 already. Maybe next month.
It's part of All-Stars.
Unless you want the original NES version, of course - but does anybody really prefer SMB2 or SMB3 on NES compared to SNES remakes/remasters?
I kinda want it for the sake of completion since NES Mario 1 and Mario 3 are already there. Plus it'll probably take an eternity for Nintendo to actually launch those SNES games, so I think the NES version has a good chance of coming out significantly earlier.
I just want portable N64 games... seriously
We will definitely need button remapping by then.

The two most obvious choices possible but pls Nintendo I beg you.
God, I love Mario 64's movement. It's the most satisfying I've ever felt in a 3D game. It's so damn FREE.
I come to break your heart.

By providing hope.
So does that mean NES online uses the same emulator as the NES classic?
Just an fyi, "count" could be the last string in the enum solely for backend stuff.
It looks like Kachikachi (NES, already in use), Canoe (SNES), and Hiyoko (???) are the currently implemented emulators with Count being used to get the number 3 by getting the last string's position in the enum.
Finally, I can't wait for theVirtual Boy and CDi emulators!
Browsed twitter and yeah that seems to be the case

Count being the final value makes this way too close to a counting value and not something actually referring to an emulator
