On the subject of My Music, I don't really mind the presence of dozens of songs on each stage. Then again, I have way too much time on my hands and created a spreadsheet to keep track of the music selection process. For once, I actually feel like I know how often I can expect a song to appear. The classification thing was bugging me so much too, that was a perfect stage to put the Mario World songs, but I guess in my case it'll just be the original song only

"Obstacle Course" from Brawl works pretty well too, since it matches the high energy you might expect from SMW. That's the only other song I have on there, though, since all of the other Yoshi's Island songs are too sleepy for my taste. One thing I want changed is Quick Play gets renamed to Ranked and a Quick Play gets added that hides match making score or GSP I think there's a lot of one-and-dones because people don't want to get booted from Elite (or have their number tick down in general). You might want to keep fighting a certain player- but if you keep losing it just tanks your score so there's no incentive to stick around even if you are having fun because you just dig yourself into a hole. That and Elite Smash fucking destroys the character select screen unless you're elite with a ton of characters. I just have the Kirby cast in Elite and it's so goddamn ugly only having 3 squares lit up in a sea of dimmed blocks. Like it feels like I'm not allowed to pick anyone else with how it's laid out.

Curious, if you had to pick a current "top tier" characters (as in characters percieved to be, even if they aren't totally) and change at most 2 things about them to balance them out what would it be? Actual Top Tier choice: Pichu: Add a little lag after skull bash so that he can't recover from the depths of hell for free (Same with Pika). Does a bit more % to itself with electric attacks "Top Tier" choice: K.Rool: Really just make it so his belly armor takes longer to regen and the super armor effect is removed from a couple attacks. Other is just shortening the range his copter backpack can recover from as the disjointed hitbox above him + the absurd range means he lives far longer than any other heavy for free.

Can someone explain how to get the fighter spirits for alts? I beat classic mode with Builder Mario and Wendy and got jack.

I was expecting the worst, but I had 0 issues with the Pauline spirit lol. I just ran up to her on the right side as soon as the match started, sucked her up with Kirby, and threw myself far enough down with her that I could spit her out and float back up while she fell to her death.

Shop Exclusive, they only cost 300 gold so they're easy to get.

Pauline has a couple ways of being cheesed, but Donkey Kong & Lady is way harder, and you need either Dracula's Spirit enhanced or 100% clear World of Light to get the Dragoon.

You can buy the Blast-o-Matic from one of the World of Light shops, and that is Giant Killer. Costs 10,000 SP though.

finding the last few is absolute torture im resorting to re-obtaining all of the spirits i dismissed just so i have a better chance of bumping into the ones im missing it doesnt help how the spirit point shops never seem to change up their inventory - i only see the same small handful even if i already have them its kind of a slog now rayquaza, sun salutation, and some one i dont know are the last ones for me. plus with the mario event, 2 new unknown slots appeared even though i already got the 3 new ones??

Those 2 unknown ones are the Partner Pickachu and Eevee if you had a save file of those game.

I don't remember if I have that on any other Yoshi level but normally I either have the Melee originals or whatever music fits in the periods of the stage, like Pokemon Stadium 1 has RBY/GS music, Stadium 2 has RSE, Spear Pillar has Gen 4 and so on; just for the sake of not having redundancy, and because some stages feel wrong without specific songs, like Onett or Fourside

Definitely. I do the same thing, although I'll break my own rules once in a while for variety. What'd you do for all of the Sun and Moon music? There isn't a corresponding stage from Gen VII, so I've had some trouble figuring out where to put all of it.

well guess im never gonna 100% the spirits library because im never ever ever ever buying that cashcow game seriously it has less content than the gba remakes that came out 15 years ago
