Honestly, if they added a Pokken stage in a later update, I could definitely see them adding some of the tracks to the game (although considering how many Pokemon stages already exist and the fact that Pokefloats still isn't in the game, it might be unlikely). Also I know the Bandai Namco developed the game, but goddamn that is the most Tekken sounding music track I have ever heard in a NIntendo game.

8bitdo has been really impressive for a third-party accessory producer, I haven't heard a single negative comment on any of their controllers or that accessory specifically.

I am absolutely in love with Palutena. I love teleporting and countering attacks.

As much a as Ridley is a mid-tier fighter, he's really fun to use and got some great aerials. Side-B is deadly on walk-off stages (for funsies of course) because you can drag them into it and they die first. If his recovery was somewhat to King K. Rool, I'll be a happy man. No reason why not to. If you find PS4 controller comfortable for you, go ahead.

I would definitely use another controller, but I thought there were issues with non Switch controllers like not having functioning analog sticks? If they work normally I might get an adapter.

afaik there's no known issues with any controllers besides wiimotes with 8bitdo's adapter, everything should function like the pro controller minus missing buttons. i think the ps4 controller even has some of the motion controls working via the 8bitdo adapter, if you wanted to use it with other games.

I just want a GC controller that has a home button, because it's annoying to have to grab another controller to exit out of the game. I know there are 3rd party GC controllers that are basically just Pro Controllers with GC skins, but I only hear people complain about them because they don't feel exactly like the GC controller.

I think Meta Knight might be the worst character in the game I have never won a single match with him, he can't combo, he can't kill, he has awful air speed, how the fuck do people play as this character

The 8bitdo GCN adapter has a Home and Capture Button on it. It ain’t as good as having it on the controller, but you don’t have to rely on another controller at the very least. Nintendo really need to make a new Wavebird.

We really do need to wait for a meta to be formed before we start saying who's the best and who's the worst. Some people said Snake was going to be garbage in this game, but there's been a Snake in just about every top 8 of every recent tourney, even winning one. Same applies to Dedede. Even Inkling, the fighter that everyone is saying is god tier right now, is getting countered more and more as time goes on. We need to figure out what elements of Smash excel in this game, and then figure out which characters are the best or most consistent at these elements. For all we know, the final definitive tier list we get may end up being radically different than what we have in our heads. Bowser Jr., by some miracle, could even end up higher than garbage.

And even THAT still feels ok to play Melee with apparently. Some people have used it at tourney, for more than just novelty. You can do whatever you want with the GC pad and it'll still be fine, as long as you leave the grips and button/stick placement alone.

I'm really liking Fox a lot in Ultimate. Only thing I don't like is that Side-B feels slower, and also doesn't go through shields. Glad it doesn't leave you helpless.
