It honestly feels like Sakurai played Super Star Ulta recently, and went "yeah that masked dedede fight is real cool but is that really how you try to make Marx creepy? /I'll/ show you a creepy Marx!" One day I want to interview that man and ask him how he feels about Kirby after he left for good
Smash youtube ringing in the new year with a hot new meme: #ProjectWendy
The worst part is that Fire Emblem has a fuckload of classes but they only choose Sword Lords. Robin and Corrin were breaths of fresh air, though making two of Smash 4's DLC Fire Emblem representatives still, still sucks.

Corrin is still a sword user, the only difference is they turn into a dragon for some moves. they still have all the trappings of the FE sword users (insane aerial game, high mobility, strong neutral play, counter move, satisfactory recovery). Robin is ACTUALLY a breath of fresh air, as well as a genuinely interesting character design thanks to their aerial smashes and tome system. Also, Nosferatu is so much more interesting than counter
I should rephrase my earlier statement about swordsmen I don't exclusively hate them because they have swords. It just happens that the characters who I hate the most all have swords
I for one am excited for the next sword man with memorable taunt and victory quotes such as "[stock phrase involving 'fate' or 'the future' or whatever]" and "GOOD"
Yo you can hate on a lot of things but don't hate on my favorite quote "good"
Lets pray that whoever the inevitable 3 Houses DLC character is they use a spear or something.
I love how difficult it is to tell apart 3D Land, Golden Plains, and Mushroom Kingdom U from each other
I really hope you're not the type that things characters like Robin and Toon Link are in the same league as Chrom or Roy
This is one reason why I wish they would've kept the light/shading style of each game the stage is from
Still placing bets we don't get a fire emblem dlc rep. I honestly think they'll duck that bullet
I am genuinely curious what character is supposed to be hard to use then. I generally find all the characters to be played relatively easily,
Isabelle's pretty hard to use if your enemy has a functional block button Least for me.
Judging by the fact that nobody complains about the fact that we three Links in this game and only two Marths once you remove the characters who are glorified model swaps, I have concluded that if Roy was half Marth's height and looked like Professor Layton nobody would complain about him having a derivative moveset.
I like Roy a lot honestly after being able to give him a try, he barely plays like Marth.
I'd actually rather fight a marth than a Link. Especially on a flat stage.
As much as I wouldn't mind Edelgard by herself (especially if she used an axe), I hope you're right.
Mage Ganondorf is insanely fun and has even more stylish movement than vanilla Dorf.
I'll take Edelgard if only to stop myself from shrivelling up and dying from having to play as either bootleg Reinhard or generic sassy black best friend who works part time as a Pokemon Go leader. I never should have used that monkey's paw to ask for a different artist than Awakening's. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1844/afc5a86f-cb03-47b8-b665-127246b33a4b/image.png
Duck Hunt is pretty hard to be good with.
There are dozens of cool Fire Emblem characters, it just happens that of the ones they chose for Smash, only 2 of them are visually distinct. Though where the fuck is Corrin's shoes, seriously
Edgelord would probably be the most welcome due to waifu privledges. including from me.
Real talk, even as somebody who isn't actually interested in the FE games themselves, I thought there was mostly nothing wrong with Awakening and Fates' artstyles.
I know a recent Smash poll that also covered things like 'favorite character' managed to not have any FE characters in the requested DLC section at all. http://news.denfaminicogamer.jp/kikakuthetower/181228g/2
Final Destination having 3 times as much as second most-popular: Temple . . . . . Japan really likes FD, no wonder For Glory Omegas were solely based on it in SSB4.
Well you see, no one in Awakening had feet. So in Fates, when everyone had feet, they had to make Corrin bare foot to show everyone had feet.
That qt on the left reminds me of Kyoko
Being able to turn into a dragon makes finding a good pair of footwear utterly infuriating.
