I love classic mode, but man some of them are just not fun. Greninja's route has a ton of 1 v 3. Like OK yeah, that's fair and fun. DK's so far is my favorite, because the first fight is Diddy Kong, and then he joins you in every other fights as an ally, just like in the DK games.
Man, you all weren't kidding. I got my hands on a few legendaries/aces and now a majority of these spirit fights are cake walks. It's kinda silly. Not just that, but those annoying minion stages? Where you fend off a billion little shits that are also metal? Super Slow Armor. That spirit has saved my bacon a thousand times, especially since you don't get affected by the 'easily launched' rule. I want my Ganon though holy fuck. I don't want Lucas or Peach argh piss
imagine deleting ur fp account over smash "drama"
Holy shit he did what
One of the things that frustrated me most about the Classic modes was the overuse of the Hands when other bosses fit better. The one I can name off the top of my head is Shiek's, where all the characters wear masks. Galleom made way more sense than the hands did.
We fucking killed him
Really sad, he seems like a good guy and just kinda turned into an ass for seemingly no reason the past few days.
Can't wait for him to return as MAAAAAAATTTTTAATT
If y'all gonna kill your accounts can you at least give me all your coins first.

world of light specifically tells you to adjust the matches based on your liking and that an uphill battle gives you greater rewards (even outside of skill orb thingies) complaining about world of light being a steam roll once you obtained the 14k power combo is not a valid complaint
I didn't even know you could do that
I'm aware of the reward system but when nearly every reward is related to spirits I quickly became disinterested in them. Maybe if they gave out music or Mii costumes I'd have a reason to gimp myself (if they do, ignore this, but i never found any myself even when i had weak spirits) but otherwise I didn't see the point in making myself weaker I know I mentioned the steamroll aspect negatively but that's really just a small part of the real problem I have with the mode, which is that it's entirely too monotonous. The reason I never swapped out from my OP spirits list is because it was the quickest way to get through WoL. I didn't care about giving the CPU a fair fight, I wanted it to be over. If the whole thing was about half or even a fourth of the length that it is now I wouldn't mind, but about half way through the area after Galeem with the three zones + dungeons I really just wanted to be done. Quality over quantity I guess. For those who like WoL I'm happy for you, but I personally would've preferred something a little more compact like the 50 event matches from Melee
You can mix it up on your own - play different characters, etc. - hell, some find it fun to actively search for broken combos of spirits (which you need to higher rewards for) - but if you find the basic concept of spirits uninteresting, more power to you. I do agree that a platforming tidbit here and there would have made World of Light a lot better for people like you, and for people like me.
I've decided that my previous posts specifically the ones about swordies have been too negative. To counteract this I want to just make a post appreciating Pac Man. I love this guy so much he just feels so fun to play with so many dynamic moves that I can adjust based on the matchup. I can choose which fruit is the best for the scenerio, decide if fire hydrant combos are worth it, or try to fake out people with my side b.

I did try this a bit but unfortunately most of the characters I have a lot of fun playing as were unlocked in the later half the the game. However that's a very personal complaint so I'm not gonna blame the game for not giving me all my favorites from the start. Making characters like DK and Ganon into unstoppable monsters was cool, I just couldn't keep the charm up throughout my whole play-through. But hey, it's still a better single player experience then Smash 4.
Finding the strongest builds is part of the fun of RPG mechanics. High difficulty should be balanced around that so you can enjoy that aspect without breaking the game.
There are more than enough spirits which require big boy spirits. Balancing the game as if it was a traditional, linear climb with the spirit board existing would not function at all and is theoretically impossible for how World of Light is built - changing that would require a ground-up rework of not only the spirit board but World of light and is by far not an simple task. With roughly 1200 Spirits, broken combinations are guaranteed, but don't act like you are forced to use them.
Side B as a kill move deceives so many people. Nobody expects it ALSO you have super duper armor for some frames when you get the super pellet at the end
Personally I agree, but min/maxing definitely isn't for everyone when it comes to RPGs.
I might've missed context because FP removes posts once you delete your account. Were there any posts after this, or was this the one that did him in? Seems like a strange topic to kill an account over. The exchange wasn't even that bad, from what I saw, at least in comparison to the shit some others get for having non-mainstream opinions.
From what one could gather, he's been in a bad mood lately (his posts are usually level-headed and at most ambivalent, usually slightly optimistic or kind) and made like 3 posts just complaining and being rude, first about people complaining about "Fire Emblem characters" (in actuality we were complaining about the overabundance of sword users with similar movesets) and then about people taking issue with WoL and comparing it negatively to SSE. Then he just disappeared. Whether he deleted his accounts or the mods did something is anybody's guess.
either way would get printed to the event log fyi. idk what his name was but it'd be here https://forum.facepunch.com/events
Doesn't show up, his name was MATTT
oh hm, i guess parts of this stuff doesn't display for normal users then? well either way, i can see it and yea it wasn't one of us that did it.
galeem took another one
Which characters are good at aerial combat? I just discovered the reason I like or dislike specific characters relies mostly on their mobility in the air, mostly horizontal (which is why I don't seem to click with Luigi too much this time around)
Kind of a broad question, literally every character except Little Mac and Ryu/Ken are good at aerial combo in most ways, you have to be more specific, do you want a good neutral game? High range? Fast air movement?
