Super Smash Bros. General v22: Colors Weave into a Spire of Flame

She is also insanely float-y comparatively
Simon can blow up flammable objects.
So he can destroy Link's bombs if the latter uses them as area denial or throws them.
Also, I wonder if the "Aura" is similar to Lucario's "+DMG = bigger properties" or just... a blue flame.
Reminds me of Dorf/Falcon flames. Dorf is "Darkness" so, like RIghter's Holy Water, won't trigger explosives but Falcon will always trigger flammables with all but his up-special.
Another thing I realized: Plant will be the first character to have a poison ailment. I know the Flowered ailment is the same but I think Poison always deals the same damage because it stays the same amount of time while Flowered depends on the hit (unless it's Puff's Sleep which is at max if hits).
I wonder if we'll get a character with Mush ailment... Scartch that! That's a really bad idea on retrospect.
The replay editor is a lot more robust this time around.

Here's a nice little story:

This lady also voices Maya Fey in AA6. Fitting.
(Also I totally missed the past day; what was with that forum ragequit back there?)

God this was a really great set. It's damn neat to see how hard of a counter Ness is to Snake now, and how Snake then has to adapt to stand a chance.
The winner's final set between them isn't on youtube yet but it was just as great. Mostly for this platform drop play

It's really beautiful during the WoL finale
Now that you mention it, I kinda wish Dark Samus had poison attacks, because Phazon and all
Not using fire is actually a bigger difference than you think, since you can use non-fire damage to attack flammable objects and move them around (or lock them in place in the case of Richter's HW) instead of just destroying them. Duck Hunt's can, Snake's everything, the Link bombs, stuff like that, sometimes you just want to move them instead of having them blow up in your face.
Speaking as a Duck Hunt player, I often use my can point blank if I think my opponent will use a fire-tinged attack, just so it either explodes on them and gives me an opening, or explodes on me and pushes me away. Handy against ROB in particular, considering his combo game revolves around a fire move.
One idea that's been mentioned before is that he could have his hoverboard from Tropical Freeze Switch as a brand new UP-B. The only problem is that said recovery would almost certainly make him way better a character than DK, unless they limit the hoverboard's vertical movement to some extent.
Am I alone in thinking that Mario should be reworked with Odyssey in mind?
FLUDD is kind of stupid and I literally have no idea which game the cape is from. Neither seem integral to his character. Incorporating Cappy into his toolkit would be way more iconic and an absolute barrel of fun.
GameXPlain just put out a vid about more leak stuff yadda yadda salt grain here

Super Mario World is where the cape comes from.
Speaking of DK reps, I feel like Cranky would make a better joke assist trophy where he'd just sit in his rocking chair and complain about how in his day there was no c-stick and no crazy hand and what the heck is a spirit board while the rest of the fight just happens.
yep that'd explain it. Never played any of the classic Marios.
Real talk: Replace cape with a Cappy toss that serves the same purpose, and give him a new down special entirely
Is there literally any basis on this idea other than "bleh old moves"? because if that's the case we need to get rid of the Super Jump too, it's literally just his old Super Mario Bros jump.
No, it's not that at all. What?
I don't hate the old moves, I just think novelty is nice now and then. His down special wasn't ALWAYS FLUDD after all. Why have any reservations changing his other moves, as long as they still fit him?
Because FLUDD is just fine as a move and you didn't give an argument for changing it other than "because Super Mario Sunshine isn't new". if you have an actual good suggestion for a move that adds to Mario's kit and fits with his history, then I'm all ears, but "replace FLUDD with a Mario Cappy Toss just because" is nothing. FLUDD gives Mario a recovery denial option and that is unique to him and Squirtle. It's a fun, unique addition that can be played with and around reliably.
What if Mario's Dair was a ground pound ala basically every 2D and 3D platform game he's had since 64?
Novel, gives him more options, what's not to like?
If you've been following rumors of a potentially leaked DLC character, some files from the game have been datamined, suggesting that said character is indeed being worked on alongside Joker and Piranha Plant:

I just find FLUDD really boring as a down special and I know it probably has great competitive potential but it's just not "fun" or interesting for me. I never, ever use it.
not knowing about Mario's cape says more about your knowledge of Mario than it does about his moveset dude
Yea like that one guy says, most of the leakers are (and have been for awhile) claiming the next DLC is gonna be Erdrick from Dragon Quest 3 as the long rumored Square-Enix character. They also ofc claim that he was being worked on way before Joker, and the decision to instead announce Joker at the Game Awards was a last minute one since they wanted someone with more Western appeal to generate more hype for the Fighter Pass, hence the lack of any gameplay footage and a totally out-sourced reveal video. It kinda makes sense I guess but ofc nobody can really say anything for sure lol. We'll likely find out soon enough if the character really is that far along.
Is there a chance this mystery character is someone from Bravely Default?
I'd be very pleased with Bravely Default getting in over Dragon Quest. For one BD is actually popular overseas and it'd justify adding Octopath Traveller content as well.
Turns out that every single DLC character is another anime swordsman.
Then everyone else gets a sword in a new patch.
I was like what a weird server then I see my self there what happened
Their runspeed in the game according to stats is only better than Piranha Plant's, suggesting they're either heavy or fairly armored/weighed down with material.
