I wish changing stage or character in battle arena didn't boot you out of the queue
Huh
Doesn't Olimars white Pikmin inflict poison damage? That's how it works too I think. It does little damage but it deals poison damage
White Pikmin deal the "dark" damage that Mewtwo and Ganon do.
feels like Mr. Game and Watch will never get anything exciting or some sort of viability. He literally feels no different since melee and feels equally useless, his new forward air is quite garbage
He's WORSE than previous games. His forward air is useless, and his new up tilt very well might be one of the worst moves in the game.
Possible Fighter Pass spoilers.
But...but... Down-B reflects physical projectile now.
It's not enough to make up for all the things that got nerfed.
Man, I really wish they'd fix Bowser Jr. Despite being lower tier last game he was still one of my favorites to play online, and now it feels like he can barely accomplish anything he could before. Even the mechakoopas are neutered, his neutral game sucks because of that.
I still have my doubts that brave means a dragon quest character. I feel like the connection was only made because people were already expecting someone from Dragon Quest Reminds me of all the Isaac "proof" that was found when everyone started to expect him because of the Grinch leak
I'm still confused the Healing Sprout item is branded as a Smash Bros item instead of a Golden Sun one, does that happen with all the secondary third party items or was it just an unfortunate bizarre coincidence?
I mean the concept of it healing already by itself has nothing to do with Golden Sun. What people were excited for is that the idea of it being an item that had a gimmick of generating ladders seemed really cool and in-line with Golden Sun, but then we got probably the most boring possible outcome for it.
That plus the fact that Isaac is a really bizarrely full-featured assist this time around makes me think there were licensing troubles with Camelot, and that more was planned at one point but fell through Might also explain the ongoing issues with Waluigi, since Camelot has partial rights to the character in the "sports and recreation" context, and I'd assume that would be most of his theoretical moveset
Damn, if that's true copyrights ARE indeed the ultimate evil in the Smash Bros series
If that was the case why is he an assist trophy?
If this was true at all, he'd not use a tennis racket in Smash or appear as often as he does in unrelated games, like Mario Kart or Mario Party. I just assume that they didn't feel like including Waluigi or Isaac as playable.

I wanna see more of other game developers doing their own fan art interpretations of other company's characters. Imagine what Link would look like in the GOW4 universe...
There's actually an explanation I've heard for this before, and it's kinda strange but bear with me on it. Back when Brawl first hit, Nintendo was able to easily gain the rights to use Waluigi and Isaac as assist trophies, since they had a very mutually positive relationship with Camelot at the time. When Smash4 was in production though, things had changed, and they were no longer able to negotiate for Isaac for one reason or another. They were still able to use Waluigi thanks to the terms of the prior agreement and their majority ownership of the character, but only in exactly the same way that had been agreed upon, so his relative looks and exact behavior stayed the same. Fast forward to now, they were finally able to get Isaac back on board, and were starting to include items and maybe plan a stage for GS, but again, something or other happened, and changes had to be made, like disassociating the GS items from GS itself, much like how 64 and Melee's motion sensor bomb and the cloaking device had to be disassociated from their respective games in a hurry.
But. Hasn't Camelot gone on record saying they would love to do something with Golden Sun again but Nintendo has to give the green light? Why would they turn him down for Smash?
Perhaps in response to this hesitance to go forward in the ways THEY want? Stuff like that does happen in the industry, petty as it may be.

Excuse me? A character who isnt exactly canon because of multiple appearance and customization rather than a defined character, in a game more about the world you're in. That was the argument made, and I think that applies heavily to Animal Crossing. I don't see how it doesnt. Infact some of Villager's moves are flat out references to other games rather than something from Animal Crossing.
we always go through this cycle when a particular character idea gets talked about a lot. people say they wouldnt work. character gets added and totally works. people need to realize just because you don't want a character in Smash doesnt mean they can't or won't work
Dad of Jr.
The Villager is literally the focal point of every single Animal Crossing game. In New Leaf the Villager is made Mayor. That's why the Villager's alts are 8 different potential Villager designs. Do you just not want to admit you're wrong? You can say that if you want. Nobody will think less of you.
Villager actually has personality. And more then 3 animations.
