Well, he is named after the director of Alien, so the homage is blatant.
All of this is pretty damn cool to me. I never knew Alien influenced Nintendo of all companies but I suppose it makes sense, Alien is fucking awesome and full of ground breaking design. Ridley just got far cooler to me.
Anyone have any advice for playing Meta Knight? I have a hard time securing a kill with him due to his smash attacks still having bad range.
Only way I manage results with MK is if I run off stages while swinging my sword like a moron to bait air dodges. A good chunk of the cast just kind of die from it and Meta Knight can stay off stage with his go mobility for a long time so hey why not.
Dash Grabs are also super good with him and it's pretty easy to string his upairs like usual.
I'm currently sitting at like 1,800,000 with him though so it's not like I'm a elite player or anything.
Tornado is surprisingly a kill move at like 120 or something
I just realized that Joker Kirby might look really similar to Bayonetta Kirby unless they go a different route with it

Man, i had a ton of fun with the World of Light stuff but the Spirit board stuff is just plain obnoxious as hell.
I swear the game has a desire sensor

So does the AI actively read your controller inputs as you input them? Because that's what it feels like sometimes.

Looks like Rathalos isn't the only Monster Hunter thing Sakurai put in the game
I find myself accidentally manipulating how the ai works to cheese a win without even realizing it. Level 9 cpus are like tosbots but online human players (if they're good) will employ actual strategies and you gotta get a feel for each person.
CPUs are good for learning how the game works and practicing tech but man is the most dangerous game of all.
Have any cheesing strategies to share?
So far all I've managed to do is get Ryu to fall off of his own stage, for seemingly no reason.
