They don't seem to handle projectiles being thrown at them while you dash towards them as the same time very well. I play wii fit trainer a lot so often times when they're at higher percentages, either her bury will keep them in place long enough for a smash attack kill or you can throw them off stage and then use her dair to spike them off the map.
It's a risky move but it's dick twistingly satisfying to downspike someone mid air.

Spectate seem to be broken, either it stay on prefight screen or game crash.
I'm beginning to suspect they improved the amiibo learning process in this game.
Starting to notice my Fox picking up some of my worst Fox habits almost 1:1, like getting way too greedy with charged F/Usmash and spamming the shit out of Uair if I'm anywhere above it.

Not surprising, but looks like they're piece mealing the Mii Costumes again.
I've seen a lot of people up in arms about the pricing here, and while i'm certainly not one to agree with DLC and microtransactions, honestly most games, especially fighting games, have either comparable or way worse prices and values than this as well as less content in the main game to boot, so while it sucks i'm not really too upset about it.
So I just got two of the new spirits and there's now two empty spaces before the new ones... are those the Pokemon Let's Go ones?
Can I just not complete the spirit list now?
Those require you to have save files for their respective titles, so it depends on how willing you are to play or throw money at completely unrelated games to complete the list.
Nintendo knew what they were doing when they added those two.**/

If you check the update page when they were added, I believe Nintendo said eventually they'd be available even if you didn't have the games.

Yo, I used to avoid GCO like the plague, but during the final months of Smash 4 my brother and I played on it once for the hell of it and ended up loving it, playing no other stage for the rest of the night. Still a lot of fun in Ultimate, and it seems like it got a slight visual upgrade this time around.
But on the note of the sentiment in the pic, despite both being 1080p, Ultimate in general feels like it has more of a readability issue than Smash 4 Wii U did, regardless of stage. Has anyone else noticed that? It feels like the camera is far more zoomed out in Ultimate. Despite playing on the same TV and sitting at the same distance, I have far more "Where the hell am I?" moments this time around.

I taunt after every kill as Duck Hunt, and my Duck Hunt amiibo interpreted that as "taunt after every attack or throw you can't combo from"
It is so fucking obnoxious I hate it, it's taunt-canceling into smashes, it's taunting to pass time after a Uthrow if I'm too high for a followup, it's taunting all the fucking time

These two were simple enough, but this gold shroom's been tough.
Managed to get all of the event spirits. I'm relieved that they can also appear randomly, I'd easily have forgotten to check in at the hour-long intervals each one is guaranteed in.
I used the polar bear spirit from ice climbers and a spirit that turns you metal with K Rool to beat it. With both of those spirits you can't be moved, like at all, and I just tossed the crown then used the blunder buss to grab and throw him behind and off the stage and just kept doing that until I won.
I've been finding great success in abusing K Rool for a lot of these spirit fights.
Maybe I'm just bad but I swear to god the AI at times is absolute bullshit like spirit fight for The Boss, I had to resort to cheesing it with Kirby.
Then there are those fights against 3 or so bots where as soon as you touch the ground they just demolish you.
