rip, MP has bots and is still fun, but I guess that's fair enough.
I'm guessing contractors is picking up the slack WD is leaving
Anyone else get a bit freaked out at the Beat Saber multiplayer mod? I joined a server lobby with 6 people in it and when I did they all started looking at me with their blank faces and started shaking my hand. Fucking friendly weirdos get away from me.

Quite an interesting solution. Let's see if it picks up.
A remake was done for Halloween this year that revamped it entirely. Original rottweiners was bad, this one is good.
I was just joking because it's a common conversation in this thread once h3vr is asked about.
I have no issues with the controls on Rift. Not the best but far from the worst and definitely manageable after some practice.
CES is in full swing so there's VR news!
First off, HTC is teasing their own Oculus Quest competitor:

I'm reading rumours that it can also be hooked up to a PC, so it might end up being the first hybrid headset. No further specs yet.
Even though it could never happen, I'd love for them to announce RE7 VR finally coming the fuck out
More folks getting hands-on with the Quest:

Cosmos is weird. At first I thought it'd be standalone like the Quest (a competitor for it), but what's the point of a PC-tethered cabled headset with inside-out tracking?
If I hook something up to my PC, I might as well slap on lighthouses in the corners of the room. They will track way better than inside-out due to the inside-out cameras having limited FoV.
And if it works with a phone connection instead of a PC - why would I pay (an estimate considering HTC high prices) 600-700€ for an inside-out headset, and then another 800-1000€ on
a compatible high end smartphone to run it? When I could just get an Oculus Quest for €399 which includes all of that built in for a fraction of the price?
Cosmos better have some serious secret ace in the sleeve if it wants to compete with even the normal Vive/Vive Pro, and the Oculus Quest. I just can't see the point in its existence right now.

Fuuuuck they said all the stuff would arrive yesterday, the wait is killing me
those controllers look cool as hell, very TRON.
and thank fuck they've finally switched to the visor design.
Holy shit I just got my oculus and tried Lone Echo. That is a game changer for me, really showed what VR could be as an experience.
I did feel a little queasy if I moved to fast, but otherwise the locomotion felt amazing!
The only game to actually make me feel motion sick was Pavlov, something about turning in that game hurts my brain
Hope you're not using continuous turning then instead of snap turning.
Garry coming in with the review we all needed: Best VR Shagging Games – Garry's Blog
I recommend playing the whole game through, it's really the most AAA VR game out there atm in terms of quality. And the sequel has already been announced.
Has anyone tried VorpX? Is it worth getting if I want to replay alien isolation in vr?
VorpX is not good for playing games but it's sure nice for doing virtual tourism. I'd recommend it if you're only going to be playing walking sims in it or just want to explore worlds in 3D/VR.
It's buggy and unreliable for most games/engines though. Source games work okay.
God I played on my Friends vive for a few hours today. I really really want one now, although I'd get a rift for the price. There so many games I wanna play now.
The Rift is pretty great. Motion tracking is probably a little better on vive unless you drop the cash on another sensor for the rift.
Unreal PT got an update with VR changes.
Announcement + Update 1.0.7 Changelog
Highly suggest downloading it now before it's gone for good next week.
>Updated sink texture to have feces
Only in video games will you find this statement to be in a changelog.
I'm gonna blow my brains out. I went through the trouble of setting up SIRVAGG 2 for Skyrim VR and right before running Mator Smash at the end I played for a bit and all was well. Went to go apply the smashed patch and suddenly the game crashes when I load up my save or try to start a new one. I removed the patch and now it's still crashing and I can not for the life of me find out what is causing it now.
What are y'all opinions on the Samsung Odyssey+? I'm looking at that for a possible tax season buy.
It looks comfy, has good headphones, has one of the best quality picture. The only thing I'm iffy about is the tracking.
I haven't heard much about WMR headsets. It looks really good tho...

So I went through the effort of disabling every mod and re-enabling them in batches. The only thing that seemed to be causing issues this time around was Ultimate Combat, so I disabled it. In the process I got all of the audio mods working and all the clutter mods as well. I'm doing the smart thing and just making an entire backup of all the SkyrimVR files on my extra drive before I do any xEdit or Mator Smash things.
I'm just messing around tonight, but I'm in the mood to play some poker - no reason for me not to send a quick something out. I barely ever stream!

I remember having trouble with the controls in H3VR on Rift, but after 5 hours or so of playing it's second nature to me
There's only one thing I can't figure out how to do: remove empty bullet casings from old-west revolvers like the Single Action Army
H3VR is certainly one of the slower VR Shooting games, but I get a lot out of the realistic manipulation of the guns. I really enjoy the experience of shaking empty casings out of a revolver and flicking my wrist to get the chamber back in position. I love cocking the top of a pistol.
The bolt-action pistol is my favorite gun, it's like a grandpa hand cannon and I love it
I spend pretty much 90% of my time in that game in Take and Hold 1/2
Best thing to do in H3 is dual wielding double barreled sawn off shotguns, shoot them then open them both, put them on your belt then load in new shells while they're on there, then bring them up, flicking them shut as you go. I don't think any other weapons can be dual wielded so smoothly.
Also best thing in Blade and Sorcery is telekinetic dual daggers.
My personal dual-wield favourites are the grammaton cleric pistols, because you can dump both mags, drop them one-handed, do the belt load thing, and then rack their slides on each other while pulling the stupid equilibrium gun-cross pose.
