Did Windows 10 1809 just install for you? When it did for me it broke the Vulkan API.
you can test this by running 'vulkaninfo' on a command prompt - it'll error out if this happened.
Reinstalling graphics drivers should fix it, or if you're OK getting technical here's a solution as responses to the same issue for rpcs3 - tailored for Nvidia but it's a similar process for other GPUs:
Geforce v390.65
Beatsaber released the "volume 2" album a while back, have they said when they expect those songs will be put into the game?
For now they are PSVR exclusive. But if you want you can download them from bsaver, people just re-made them for PC.
I've just noticed this, and I don't know how this is possible, but there is a fingerprint on the inside of my Rift's lens. I think it's between two layers of glass.
Now I want to know how close I was to that. I can do the expert+ stuff on fast mode on some songs on a good day. But some custom songs I can't touch yet - so I know there's at least an order of magnitude harder yet to get.
The tracking system has internal sanity checks to identify when things go wrong. For example, if our math says you are behind your only basestation, clearly we made a mistake, because we wouldn’t be getting any signal from behind the basestation. One of these checks relates to how fast we thought it was physically possible for someone to turn their wrist. It turns out that a properly motivated human using a light enough controller could go faster (3600 degrees/sec!) than we thought.
That quote is fantastic. They should add an achievement to the game titled "Properly Motivated Human"
Im finally getting into the world of VR! Has anyone here had the pleasure of using any windows mixed reality headsets? I'm getting a Samsung Odyssey headset soon and want to know what to expect
To be fair, there is a fine balance in custom songs. Some are just legitimately awful and rely on utter horseshit movements that take out any fun
It's a pretty solid headset all things considered! It's got a great screen, and pretty decent tracking in my experience. Just a warning to be careful with the controllers though, they felt a bit flimsy.
Have fun!
Just go reports of the guy who managed to flick his wrist that fast

so this question has probably been asked a billion times by now, but if one were to look into getting a VR headset, which one is better? oculus or vive?
How much money you willin to spend?
the cheaper the better, but less than £500 ($650) would be best
Then you want a Rift.
i see, thank you. i have heard rumblings of the rift needing a third sensor for the tracking to be accurate enough; is this actually likely to be a problem?
No, but i'd still recommend getting one anyway.
If you want cheap, WMR headsets are even less.
But don't do that. Only the high-end WMR headsets are good. The Samsung Odyssey is the one I chose, primarily because it's screens are as high-res as the Vive Pro. The important thing about WMR headsets is that they don't use lighthouses but instead trackers in the controller and headset itself. The good thing about this is that you don't need to set up lighthouses, although the downside is that the tracking (while still really, really good) apparently isn't *as* good as headsets that use lighthouses, and on this you can't do anything like place your arms behind your head. The Odyssey does have a wide tracking FOV though and it will track you if you put your arms all the way to the side.
The controllers are decent, not as good as Rift ones but alright. Theoretically, you should be able to hack it so that the thumbstick acts as the trackpad and the trackpad functions as the A/B X/Y buttons. I haven't been able to really do that though, although it should be possible. Truth be told I may sell it if Valve ever sells Valve VR headsets, as the controllers on those look like they'd be above and beyond
I've heard that the display in the Odyssey Plus is a rung above the oculus and vive pro. I would definitely consider it, but it isn't available anywhere but the US because ???
only to do more roomscale stuff
I got gorn and I realized I can't really turn around ever
I got two sensors diagonally facing inwards, Gorn is fine for moving around and shit.
Not really sure where to ask this but here we go, I got a Vive about 3 weeks ago and one of the Sensors has conked out on me (Red Light Error and Loss of Tracking) and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experiences with Vive Support, on the other hand I purchased it through Currys PC World (Electronics Store) and opted in to their Repair and Support plan, which would I be better off dealing with?
To make this easy Agree for Vive Support Disagree for Currys PC World.
At least for me, the Rift and a third sensor was still far cheaper than the Vive and I find the Rift controllers to be a lot nicer to use.
Does anyone have a list of suggested games to get for VR? I already got Pavlov.
Beat Saber.

Some details on the possible Rift successor, with possibly the same controllers and tracking system as the Quest will have.
I have my doubts of Rift S being inside-out. It cannot match outside-in's tracking accuracy. And lots of PC VR games have your hands moving behind you, like Echo Arena and H3VR.
Unless they add more cameras on it.
All I really want is higher quality displays so everything doesn't look muddy, being able to ready text from 1 foot away would be nice.
Eye tracking is a must too. No point increasing display resolution unless you can apply foveated rendering.
