I would if I could afford it. I could just save up while I try to use my 960 for a while.
hello i require assistance You know the oculus dashboard that comes up when you press the oculus button? the little curved UI thing with the buttons on it is like two feet above my head. It's 8 feet off the floor. All other UI elements like menus and windows are where they should be. Re-doing room setup did not fix it. How the fuck do I fix this.
You can drag it down. Just grab it and pull it.
well that would do it wouldnt it
This started happening for me too. I have sloped flooring in this room which may be why? (also yes sloped flooring is fucking awful in vr)
If you can still cancel/return your order, I'd get a Odyssey+ from the Samsung store. They are having a sale on it for $300 on their site. Nice thing is you wont have to deal with having all your USB ports used up with all the cameras.
I'm picking up everything today, so I'm gonna stick with the rift. Thanks though.
I finally got two move controllers for my PSVR but I'm having a bit of trouble with them Because I'll be facing straight forward, hands straight forward too and the controllers a displaying as being angled weird, they are rotated 45° to the right and shit. I can't play some games like this it becomes physically impossible.
The glory of tracking glowy orbs for position. My best is the lens in your camera is fucky or it actually does more than track glowy orbs and I've been lied to.
Sounds like accelerometer problems. I'd recommend contacting Sony / the store you bought them from.
Internal accelerometers innit
I got given them from my friends for nothing V:v:V Interestingly, they work better when I've put the camera further back and in a dark room. Is this just a quirk of the PSVR?
Dark is a requirement for PSVR
Just did a full day of filming in mixed reality. I had big traditional studio lights on and they were blinding the oculus sensors so i'd occasionally loose tracking. Software needed to be restarted multiple times in order to get tracking/video pass through working properly. Also gorn is broken for me apparently? I just don't have hands. That said, editing through all the footage was a blast and it's the coolest way to show VR, totally worth it in the end.
Set up my Rift today, 3 sensor setup, and using a usb hub in my lightning port. It works perfectly, zero tracking issues (even though setting up the camera tracking in the program was being irritating), zero program bugs. It is so much damn fun, I love it. I also got the VRcover face pad. Overall, It's amazing and everything I really wanted it to be. Though, since I am new to the controls and everything, I can't tell you how many times I dropped my gun in Pavlov. If this is what VR is now, I can't wait to see its evolutions.
How legit is Revive? I'm interested in playing Robo Recall and Lone Echo if it's possible, but I just want to get a sense for how well it works. Is it a lot of fooling around?
It's pretty legit. The amount of fooling around greatly depends on the game, but most just kind of work. You might need to check the github page for the individual games you're looking to try for any edge cases that might need something more than just the default method of operation.
My ceiling fan has been added to the list of Gorn casualties. I was in a death grip trying to wrestle an axe out of a dudes hand and my rl hand went straight into the ceiling fan in the process. Now its all bent and shit and wobbles really badly when I turn it on
Was playing Dungeon Knight VR and I need to clear my play area a bit more, because I totally haymakered my desk like 3 times haha
https://store.steampowered.com/app/823500/BONEWORKS/ This game looks fucking amazing
looks like it uses knuckles. i want it now.
It does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ2lzV2LLwM
It looks fun but those guys seem really easily impressed.
Hey guys can you help me with trying to remember the name of a VR Game? I saw a video of it a while ago, and for the life of me just can't recall it. It was basically another GORN-like gladiatorial fighting game, but with less of a cartoonie aesthetic. It's combat animations were pretty fluid and it was quite visceral.
blade & sorcery?
Blade and Sorcery?

Rumor has it that BONEWORKS is HLVR related: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rexP_x6Qa4 I highly doubt it actually is supposed to be a tie in to Half-Life (as it's just a game mad by fans who took inspiration) and Valve just gave a lot of support behind the scenes. But, it doesn't seem to quite match up with how Valve publicly invited the dev of Onward to work directly with them in house.
