I think this is the first time I've ever heard anyone speedrun Mega Turrican
I've just had a browse through the run list and there's some good shit this year. A TimeSplitters 2 run could be pretty interesting. The Castlevania block is looking nice, and the TASBOT choices look pretty interesting. Aria of Sorrow is fucking busted when you know the various skips if I recall.
The Megaman Zero 2 run is awesome, the commentator is doing a great job!
Yeah, on tough, technical runs like this it's definitely best for the runner to focus on the run, and leave commentary to the couch. And make sure to pick someone who can handle that to commentate.
Majora's Mask on now.
@Killuah
Wait we're talking about re-runs aren't we? I thought the event didn't start until the 9th
Majora's Mask was really good, barely made any mistakes even though he must have used glitches that have a chance of crashing the game at least like 100 times
The God of War 2 run has turned out to be a really fun one. The Cod of War costume combined with swimming through the air via glitches helps.

ActRaiser 2 run was a nail-biter and also very informative.
Also they got the PR team from Arbys on stream.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm doing quick rankings/reviews of the runs. I got all of Day One watched in real-time, so here it is. Note that a) all rankings are subjective, I do try to consider what others like but my tastes still dominate, and b) I use five-star ratings very sparingly; two-star run is still a run I enjoyed watching, it's just "average" rather than "amazing".

Recommended Watching: Majora's Mask, Hollow Knight, Mega Man Zero 2
Just caught the tail-end of the Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze run. Really fun. Great commentary.
Jak 3's on deck, followed by Crash Bannedicoot and Splatoon 2
This Jak 3 run is reminding me of Bonesaw's J&D run. It's pretty great.
and naturally people on twitter are bitching about their jokes and calling them "generic white guys"
Not quite Bonesaw-tier, but still a great run probably my favourite so far
'We have no idea who this guy is'
Chat's getting pretty antsy, right now.
There's two guys on the couch and they want the other guy to talk
Wow this purple shirt guy won't shutup.
Donations Guy: Can we get a donation in?
Purple Shirt: Uhh no.
Silent Hill 2 on fleek
Punchy's a great runner
Mario kart DS run pros:
Definitely very high spirits
Not insanely technical, really easy to follow adn really fun to watch
R.O.B. is used
Gamers be Gamin'
Like 7 or 8 Blue shells were dodged
The story about installing the DS capture cards was pretty amusing

Cons:
Early on there was a lot of dead air and jokes that fell flat
Waluigi cheating and getting a star while he's ahead of Keverage
Over-all a solid run. I'd give it an 8/10, but I'm actually gonna give it a 2/10 because there was no K-Mac Hill Clear Supremes in the run. Really ruined any fun I had coming out of it tbh, I hope Keverage gets banned for that one
(very solid run and it was a lot of fun even if a lot of the tracks on Mario Kart DS are super boring to watch
Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you doing this. Helps a lot for people who don't have much time to spare.
I've been enjoying this GDQ a lot this year. We've been having a lot of great runs and couches.
Glad you guys like the rankings, because I'm back with some more. This covers basically the second half of Monday, I do have so sleep sometimes. I'll get to them sometime after the marathon concludes.

Recommended watching: Tropical Freeze, Jak 3, and Splat 2 if you want hilarious madhouse commentary. If you want speedrunning skill, there wasn't anything super-great here but I'd go with Aria of Sorrow, Bloodstained, and ActRaiser 2.
That Crash run was so fucking boring
Sonic runs are always good fun to watch. I'm curious how a Sonic Forces speedrun will go, considering the game is only 5 hours long normally.
That was a fantastic Sonic Mania race.
