Pretty nitpicky but did he really had to put the unusual on the thumbnail for a video about a serious and somewhat controversial topic And it's kinda even more shittier that he double downed on the part that he did nothing wrong, acts like the victim, and has the video just over 10 mins long with ads on top of that Jesus
don't forget the gold wrench
alright guys ive decided to rebrand https://i.imgur.com/kNCku4o.png im planning to let it be created by MaxCraft325 | taking sfm comissions!!! for 2 keys, think its good value. It's my new TF2 OC. It's the Scout because I am a young boy and he too is one! haha, the similarities are uncanny!! I have the golden gun because I shoot good : D and I have the cat cosmetic because I love cats, rawr xD - I have the max hat and the deer thing because they look good together imo and I can have the double unusual :O - duck because BONUS DUCKS : DDD I am looking to create a youtube channel soon, is this good??? imo it doesnt stick out enough....
You forgot the lime paint.
get rid of the cats and replace them with the all-class face bandanna
It's genuinely more gaudy than even most fursonas I've seen What the fuck
I really think removing engineer's sentry would hinder a large portion of the class and the game itself. A lot of the maps are heavily designed around having an engineer or two with defense, and most teams fail the defense when they don't have one. Every class becomes exponentially broken when stacked more than 3 high (except medic) and saying that engineer is the only one is really unfair. Besides, sentries are really only hard to take down when the enemy team has a good sniper or heavy medic combo defending them. If not they fall pretty easily.
I'd argue that 3 competent medics which coordinate are more gamebreaking than 3 engineers which coordinate
yeah because thats 6 players involved, not 3.
if i could get drawings of some of my loadouts in this style it'd almost be worth it
There is absolutely nothing I like about this image or that paragraph you wrote up. It's perfect, I hope you're successful on youtube!
Subverting expectations, you'd expect a regular name like Stat-trak but TF2 just has Strange.
I think it might be just supposed to be a wackier version of the item qualities you'd see in MMOs and shit. Instead of legendaries and shit we have unusuals, because there's nothing legendary about tf2's flaming hot dog hat. I'm not even sure if the term stattrack had been coined back then.
Strange is the initial rank. It's pretty strange for a weapon to have zero kills.

rememeber when people frmed kills on strages just because a "hale's own" could sell for more?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6pfpAwXhzg most ... Sentry nests are hilariously easy to overcome with 1-2 to players. Every update Engineer gets nerfed a bit more. I don't think any other class in the game has been nerfed as frequently as Engineer has. You have a very wide array of options to choose from to obliterate a sentry nest; Direct Hit, Loch-n-Load, Stickies, Kritzed Stickies, Dragon's Fury (If you can get close enough, Uber isn't necessary), Iron Bomber, Heavy in general (just make sure the uber medic stays closer to the gun so it shoots him instead, legit strat), The Short Stop, Pistols are pretty good too. It all really depends on how you tackle the situation to begin with. Almost every Valve server has several people in it that will complain about a medic and a "pocket." Why? Cause they want to lonewolf, and can't do that if the other team decides to play as a team. Same shit with Engineer.
Well I mean...look at the quality names. "Unusual", "Strange", "Haunted". Notice a theme? Why did they call Unusuals unusual when the only thing remotely unusual about them is their particle effects? I'd be willing to wager a bet that you can tell who plays TF2 by asking them what the first thing that comes to their mind when you say Strange or Unusual is.
well yeah, coordinated efforts can tackle anything in this game.
What are you on about
>Proposes a bunch of buffs to Spy, many based around weapon switch speed. In the parlance of our time, [Laughs In Heavy Weapons Guy] Rob The Awesome (however he spells it) streams TF2 regularly. Periodically he hosts events on his own server. I've played on there a few times. The server is instant respawn. Eve on payload maps. Payload is fundamentally broken when the defending team spawns at the same speed as the attacking one. I mentioned this to him in his twitch chat and he dismissed it outright. I cannot take his thoughts on TF2 balance at all seriously.
Most of that post wasn't a response directly to you. I didn't make that clear enough. Really only meant to poke fun at the idea that "most" engineers (that I come across anyways) are not in a nest.
i do think spy does need some new tools tho. @Contra hey whats ur thoughts on a knife that doesnt lose disguise on succesfull backstabs, but takes 3 seconds before the victim dies suddendly? would it make spy more viable in competitive enviroments? too strong?
rob has done some shady shit and is kind of a salty idiot in general tbh
really stupid? You don't need to be a public icon to tell this idea is horrible. not only not losing disguise is very strong (even YER still has very noticeable cues), but people would rather die immediately than play russian roulette and "randomly" fall down.
I don't like to dismiss ideas as just bad without trying to see why they'd be interesting or suggesting a way to improve them.... but your idea is just plain bad and unhealthy for the game. You'd make Spy the single strongest class in the game with a weapon like that. Delaying a death doesn't mean anything if there's no way to actually stop the death from happening.
im trying to think of a way where spy could kill without immediately being killed himself or detected right away by a compentent team. Maybe faster cloak transistion time would be the direction. Not sure
Talking about lore, but do people hold any headcanons/theories and such on who and what Team Echelon, Citadel and Vanguard were like? I think I mentioned them before in an older thread, but at the time I had a mix-up. I mistakenly asssumed 'Echelon Citadel' was a term used to describe a team of mercenaries working together - simply because I thought TFC heavy was punctuating when saying all this :"-...her best. Echelon. Citadel. Team Vanguard, for God' sake." Instead, he was listing names and I just now only realized this. There's a surprising amount to go by here. TFC team, a group of old but still highly proficient geezers, were able to defeat multiple teams whose role was to defend AdminItrator, one of the most well-hidden people of power in TF universe. You could easily go on to say that the more experienced, resource-draining teams were simply fired (TFC Team) and instead cheaper, less "coherent" people (TF2 aka Team Fortress) were hired and thus lump the three aforementioned among the latter. However, remember that Administrator herself probably rakes in a lot of tech, connections and money. Wouldn't surprise me if she used all of those to cover her back when TFC started hunting her. Plus, TFC Heavy recognizes the quality of the Teams Echelon, Citadel and especially Vangusrd in that quote - and we know that he doesn't respect just anybody. Just look at him commending Medic for trying to kill him and being absolutely stoked when he meets TF2 Heavy, even when it's on the business end of Sasha. So, what do you guys think? Is there a lot to take out of this, or am I just too über-stoked about any type of worldbulding of the TF world?
nah its a solid nugget of lore that i love a lot too, ive been thinking about it bunch too. I personally dont have any headcanons on it however; I just hope they end the comics good. Still scared that they'll end it with them all blowing up and dying

Likely will be in the next TF2 update. Then we'll get the real time medal distribution working and you'll receive your charity medal. If you'd like to donate to the charity, you can visit this link.
