Made a graph on the monthly update frequency for the last 11 years
make a graph showing how many of your posts are about trump vs how many aren't
Will they ever improve the ullapool caber back to the glorious weapon it used to be?
Hopefully never.
Perhaps if it only detonated when struck against snipers.
The it I could do 900% more damage and nobody would care because that and the sticky jumper were the true fun of the weapon let’s be real here.
Team Fortress 2 has so many unique weapon that change how you play the characters, but it seems like the wish for Valve to push for a competitive Team Fortress 2 lead them to ruin many. I
understand the nerf to the sandman or the ambassadors, but darn if the ullapool caber change (and also the babyface blaster change) weren't a bit sad
If Valve ever stop supporting Team Fortress 2, I would love them to allow community server to make their own animation and weapons. It would be a pretty nice way for team fortress 2 to keep living.
Maybe cosmetic and taunt aswell, but that would put a dent in the market. It's been some time I've been trading, so I'm not up to date on these, so it would be nice if someone could tell me how trading is currently
Ullapool Caber
Explosion damage scales with your remaining health (175 at max, 1 at minimum)
This weapon deploys 50% slower
This weapon cannot crit under any circumstances
If you want to be an idiot harassing the oblivious snipers you need to actually surprise them to deal enough damage to be lethal otherwise they slap off a chunk of your health and your damage output drops like a rock. This also ensures that the caber doesn't return to being an "I win stick" by striking the floor when you know that you're getting screwed by a Scout or Pyro that got past your wall of pain, take your L like a man.
I always felt the most annoying part of caber wasn't the output, but rather the demo surviving it like it's nothing more than piping an enemy at pointblank.
revert everything about it, but make it into an auto suicide no matter their hp.
Yeah it was really sad when a blatantly overpowered weapon like the Baby Face's Blaster was nerfed. It's almost like it never should have been changed from it's original stats in the first place.
can we get a recharge feature to the caber like the razorback got
would be nice to use it more than once without having to run back to spawn
I maintain the unpopular opinion that the Caber should do bonus damage to Snipers. 300% would do it, I think.
Make it that when a Demoman strikes a Sniper with the Caber it is so powerful that it boots them off the server.
if we buff the caber we also remove snipers from the game why is it always the heavy mains which are against this... .. .
I miss 2012, that year had my favorite updates.
Let the Caber replenish itself by harvesting the souls of snipers.
caber should replenish itself after 2 ammo pickups while its active (demo is holding it)
I think that's a fair risk-reward gameplay considering demo is gonna die quickly after a caber boom
I remember a long time ago people were speculating about valve making the update system for TF2 to be truly automatic, what with the sea of weapon and cosmetic models produced by the community, the massive growth of TF2 fan-content with the release of SFM, people thought the next step was allowing the community to vote for weapon ideas and changes. sadly any possibility of that was probably killed in the womb once valve fell in love with VR and money and abandoned the idea of making any content that wasn't about making cash.
the content drought is "killing" the game, except it hasn't really done any damage with what we seen in the player statistics for halloween and christmas. people just want to feel like they're playing and investing into a game that isn't abandoned.
If the drought continues i'll say people will start to make their own balance changes in their servers, currently its a obscure movement but the more the players get bored the more they'll either move to these kinds of servers or just go play other games.
Hitting one Sniper with the Caber causes that Sniper, and every other Sniper on the server (including your own team) to execute the "explode" command.
wow i'm honestly so glad that never happened
most people are dogshit at video games and putting balance in their hands is the equivalent of people voting for what to do with all your countries money, it sounds like a good idea but in practice these people don't know what they're doing at all
that's not even factoring in the tf2 effect whereby it attracts the absolute worst players thanks to it being free and extremely non competitive. almost all tf2 players would be bronze in other games
plus you have the class bias effect which would result in pure buffs to pyro and spy and that's about it, because boatloads of people main these classes
1 way ticket to absolute cesspool gaming
Give the Caber a Crikey meter, it fills up via kills or ammo pickups, when it's full it gives another explosive charge

remember to live your best life, lad
Meat: the Pyro
I sent you that selfie in confidence you bastard
when you play in a server with people who "ironically" spam unfunny binds and deal with spy mains for the 400,000th time.
meat
They should train their AI to update the game
At this point I don't expect Valve to fix anything about the game, but today I was reminded of a glaring issue that has persisted for years: players say their ubercharged voicelines at the end of the uber and not the beginning. I've grown used to this and play accordingly (push when I hear the voice line, not retreat.) The ubercharged voice lines are supposed to be a warning to the enemy team. The medic says his uber popped voice line at the right time, but that's independent of medi gun type and more importantly it doesn't indicate what class is the uber target. "Is good time to run, cowards!" exists for a reason. I expect Valve to fix this on the twelfth of never.
Those start when they fire their gun, some classes even have specific lines based on which weapon slot they are attacking with. I think this says a lot more about your uber targets than anything else.
my favorite part of the uber attack speech is robots in mvm shooting right before their fake uber wears off, which is just enough to make it happen despite being completely accidental and unintended
I'm referring to enemies I fight against, not ones I pocket. TBH when popping an uber (ANY uber) as a medic, what my pocket is saying is the least of my concerns.
