I'm pretty sure Greninja quickly transforms into Ash Greninja during his Final Smash.
Plus, Ash Greninja isn't really "alt-costume" material, since it's a kind of "super" form, like Mega Evolution.
Alph and olimar are both the main characters of their respective games. Hell, Olimar is the only character to show up in all 3 main games (as well as the fourth spin-off on 3ds).
It's probably like the Koopalings where only the Alph model fit on the rig with little issue.
Speaking of costumes, I hope Joker gets his school uniform as an alt.
I'm a tad bummed Link didn't get other alts. Like an actual Royal Guard set. Or the swimsuit.
Hopefully, we get the latter as DLC costumes if it ever happens.
I just realized I love playing heavies. My fingers aren't the best so I can't do complicated tech, so I can just use the few hits I can land to launch people, and I don't have to worry about being launched as much. Might be slow but they hit so MEATILY.
(On the other hand I also very much like Mewtwo and Ridley.)
You should try Ganondorf.
Thanks to Amiibo and Heavy Smash, I can watch a sick Melee set whenever I want. Complete with dashdances, attempted edgehogs, and even spaghetti stocks. Bless this game.

I don't really use Greninja so I didn't even think of final smashes to be honest.
Also a couple others I forgot about: Outset Link from Wind Waker and Conductor Link from Spirit Tracks. The latter they already made and Link doesn't appear on the Spirit Tracks page in the background if he's a fighter. I have no idea why it isn't a costume.
I do pretty alright against high level bots but it really doesn't prepare you for peoples weird ass mindgames online. CPUs just go hard in the paint aggressive which is fine to learn some of their attack strategies but mmmmmm it feels so much better to beat an irl player on a decent connection.
Bots don't have strategies, that's why it's bad to learn against them. They just attack.

Fighting against Link/Zelda as Ganon in Classic Mode is such so annoying for me because when I try to attack them they sometimes seem to constantly gang up on me, barely giving me a chance to attack.
I finally got every spirit except for the Let's Go ones! Now to level them all haha
Cloud, I feel, is the only good character from Smash 4 that didn't get nerfed into the ground (see: Bayo and Diddy). His neutral is still quite solid, and while some of his moves are a bit less effective, they're still great tools overall.
Of course, the big change is that his limit state only lasts for 15 seconds, but that's a very understandable change that I'm ok with. It gives you more incentive to actually use a limit break instead of just camp on limit forever for the speed buff.
Still, he feels really solid to play.
Try Shulk. He feels way better to play in Ultimate, his arts are fun as heck, and he has one of the strongest catch-all counters in the game.

atleast you can wall a sword character out, a Stink that just throws his boomerang, charges arrow, yeets a bomb etc. all the time while running from edge to edge actually wants me to gauge my eyes out
Heck, I don't even think Ultimate needs more bosses. They just needed to distribute them better so most of the cast wasn't stuck with Master Hand and Crazy Hand. Why don't some other Mario characters fight Giga Bowser? Why don't Meta Knight and King Dedede fight Marx? Some more Fire Emblem characters should've fought Rathalos given how many of the series' villains are dragons. Each character's theme doesn't necessarily relate to the boss fight anyway, seeing as Ike fights characters who wear black and then proceeds to fight the hands for no reason. There really isn't any excuse for this.
It's still weird there's no Rayquaza in this game, I wonder if something came up during testing
That list looks like they genuinely fucked up and gave some people the wrong bosses.
I would say an FE and Pokemon boss is in order considering they have so many fighters, and DJ Octavio for flavor and to draw in people who play Squid Now, Kid Now.
