Doesn't it have like a year of endlag? Also it costs a huge amount of ink. Bait and punish.
Or be in the air. It only devastates you if you’re grounded.
this isnt about no counterplay being available its about it being by far the most frustrating mechanic to be hit by the epic "just block/bait and punish 4head" isn't an argument that it is a very stupid mechanic - especially from a casual player perspective which this game actually has to balance around given its audience from a balance standpoint it might be fine but from an actual practical usage standpoint its a bad mechanic
Finished World of Light last night. Any prior misgivings about the length of the game washed away when I got to control Master Hand and I went through the crazy Galeem/Dharkon boss fight. That and the credits finally explaining why they have the weird Lifelight lyrics. I am very glad I got out of the Smash Bros thread when the music spoilers started happening. On that note, what did people mean about something in the story being a 'very Sakurai thing to do', that being something different from a story that was 'playing it safe?'
Boy you must hate fighting Fox then His whole game plan is "sorry, you don't get to do anything today"
Kid Icarus also pulled the whole "the game is actually 2.5 times longer then you thought it'd be HA GOTCHA" where it seems to end at Chapter 10 in KIU or beating Galeem in World of Light and then goes on much longer. Storywise the "light and dark fight but actually both are evil" feels like allegory for how to play Smash Bros, like how to TRULY win you have to do a free for all between Galeem, Dharkon and yourself and fighting them solo 1v1 means you lose.
Ditto. Does completing New Game Plus actually give you anything new? Because I'm gonna be honest, it's super disappointing that the final cutscene for the best ending is just "all the spirits fly into space and not a single character shows up".
I'm playing a big boy (dedede) and can usually airdodge/DI away from his combos (after obviously eating a little bit) the large difference here is that I can influence the scenario while getting roller'd at over 90% is confirmed death
Someone here was asking for this, so good news for them: https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/adqrk4/i_made_a_tier_grid_maker_for_ultimate_based_on/
Dedede is a straight-up bad pick against characters who have a way to bypass the armor on your moves. Same thing with Bowser. Any attack that buries, stuns, or has fixed or guaranteed knockback will bypass your armor. You need to be extra cautious of these moves, and only commit to long windups in the moments they CANNOT use them, or can't use them safely.
Neat detail about the true final boss battle. When Galeem and Dharkon summon their respective puppet fighters, their preference will be to fight each other instead of you.
dedede has two moves which have armor, jet hammer and dedede jump, the rest doesn't have any ; What are you talking about? And once again this isn't about advice; I know how to counter them, you don't need to facepunchsplain these things to me :V - it's just that both from a casual player perspective and a competitive player perspective no move should bury someone for a guaranteed amount of essentially 2 seconds and be a confirmed death towards the higher percentages. (if you consider 90% high)
Next Spirit Board Event doesn't have a theme, it will just offer double rewards https://twitter.com/SmashBrosJP/status/1082804144841338880
The theme is "event for people really into vore" according to the picture

I'm not sure where that 'post your main smash ultimate characters' website is so I've coopted a tier list maker. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226797/19c073c1-df60-46d7-8d5a-7f6501a6912d/image.png And everyone else I haven't tried yet.
... You know what, I actually want this to happen. Rocket League has a mode where cars attack each other with powerups called Rumble. You can easily make a moveset with that.
I just generally like the idea of Rocket League becoming this all-encompassing game, where it's featured frequently everywhere. I would definitely not complain if Octane was actually added as a Smash character. Though, to be fair, WFT is bitin' on their style a little with Header.
Would be much cooler than Steve that's for sure
incoming octane leak shut your eyes https://i1.wp.com/dualpixels.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/fighters-megamix.jpg

hey, folk from england: What is your online experience like? If you had to give me a percentage of accuracy for the online browser or the percentage of FFAs (assuming you are searching for 1vs1) that would be great.
Any tips for playing Snake? I really want to get good as him and destroy my brother (which I've only been able to do as Chrom and Corrin).
I also really loved when Dharkon or Galeem would be stunned, the other would use it as an opprotunity to hurt the other with a huge attack.
theres something great about beating galeem with isabelle. she is too powerful
Clearing it with Inkling was pretty funny to me because I was still thinking about that Metal Gear crossover comic. A war economy so effective it trained a child that can kill gods, how horrifying.
I really wish I could pick a random fighter online. It's probably the feature I want in the game the most, and I'm not being ironic about it.
Brave is obviously Banjo. They both start with B. And look. The movement is exactly the same. How can it be anyone else??? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1883/cfb41359-a45a-4147-b8b9-6c72f6be265f/MissingGlitch_-_So_brave_slides_and_is_floaty_huh_Hmmm.mp4
See, I thought you were memeing at first, but that pivot does look mighty familiar...
