its pretty clear they made bosses for WoL and decided to put them into Classic mode after the fact, as well as recycled one. I wish they had just recycled all of the Subspace bosses while they were at it

I probably am misremembering but am 99% sure Peach fights Giga Bowser. I guess this is offtopic slightly but this post is missing the flavorful but technically not boss final fights that some characters have, mega man's being the primary one that I think of

Also to be fair, Brawl had all of Subspace Emissary to pull bosses from and all fighters still face Master/Crazy Hand.

I think I found some sort of odd glitch with Bowser Jr. and Ridley. Yeah that's a known glitch discovered quite recently actually, GameXplain made a video of how to perform it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jITMbT3liUw Apparently it's done with a third party controller which is really oddly specific.

Hey guys! I know I've been on here before talking about the tournament I'm hosting, but the date is coming up so I'd like to promote it for one last time. The Smash Hell 2019 Tournament is a Super Smash Brothers Ultimate tournament that will be hosted through the Nintendo Online Service, steamed on Twitch, and casted on the 26th of January. We are giving all proceeds to charity, and I personally will be donating 5 dollars per person that signs up. (I know that's not much, but I'm 16 and work a minimum wage job.) its a really big missed opportunity to not have had master core come back they clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making him but now hes confined to a game no ones gonna play anymore

There's so much replayable singleplayer content in general that would've been nice to have back. I know it'd be rough to give every character their own Break The Targets stage, but there are so many ways they could make neat unique stages these days.

They say if you get 99 Geno spirits and level them all up to level 99, Geno unlocks as a playable character. You should try that next.

I may be in the minority but I actually didn't like Master Core that much. I felt that it was too overly complex (not in difficulty, just in dragging out the pacing of a classic playthrough), although I do appreciate the work they put in. As is, I prefer for the simple, "less is more" method of just going into a Master/Crazy Hand fight.

Master Fortress can go fuck itself. I never beat Classic on 9.0 or above because of that fucking thing.

What I would've loved: Beat Classic with every character to unlock "The Ultimate Finale" path, playable with any character (lets you pick up to three), which is a boss rush of every boss in the series, mixing together SSE and WoL and ending with a rematch against both Galeem and Dharkon, then straight to Tabuu, including an all new second phase if you can make it to him with no continues. IMO there would've been no stronger way to send off Smash than to present a go-fuck-yourself-hard final challenge like that, combining all the most memorable moments while adding a surprise of its own for players who can endure it.

I only did it once on 9.2, and that was with Ganondorf. The end fight was just too tedous and making any mistake could become a quick game over. And fuck the card throwing move, because it was always done at a moment where I couldn't move, which meant it was always an instant loss. I do wish ultimate had a little more boss variety, as some are too easy.

I kind of wish they went further with alt costumes rather than just recolors. Wedding bowser and peach would've been sick, Sheik could've gotten an actual yiga clan uniform, we could've gotten the old ganon/zelda styles as alts (which sucks because those were my favorite), I don't know enough about fire emblem to say for certain but there's gotta be some potential costumes among the roster. I'm sure konami wouldn't have let this happen but being able to play as MGS4/MGS5 snake would be cool as shit. I'm surprised they were able to get him in this game to begin with. (A fucking rocket arm missile instead of his regular side B would be fucking incredible) Maybe they're saving it for DLC.

I don't have a huge problem with basic palette swaps (when they stand out, at least, unlock characters like Sonic and Pac-Man), but I'll admit that they didn't do nearly enough in regard to alternate costumes. It feels as if Smash is a bit too stuck in its ways in that regard, and I can't help but think that a full suite of alternate costumes won't come until a reboot.

Just had the funniest game I played in a while with a random person at school between classes. I was playing King K Rool and he was playing Dark Samus on Yoshi's Island (Melee) We both got down to one stock and high damage. He hit me hard enough that the kill effect popped in but since Krool is a heavy ass motherfucker he didn't fly that far at all. "I'IM STILL HERE FOOL!" I was yelling, and he did it again, I still didn't die. This happened like 3 more times before he finally killed me and we both couldn't stop laughing for a full minute.
