Super Smash Bros. General v23: Generic Thread Title To Piss People Off Edition - Games

This somewhat raises the hope I cautiously have.

It'd be great if they added a new challenge board that focused on completing stuff with the Fighter Pass characters. Or hell if they readd more game modes I hope they make a new challenge board for those too. I just liked completing them and ever since I finished it I feel empty.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Banjo, despite not having touched any of the games. Imagine if its a mix Duck Hunt (a duo) and PKMN Trainer (Switch partners) but it depends on which move you use (or just down B). Would be quite an interesting character to have. Current wishlist is: -Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden) with his NES and Modern looks. -Yuri Lowell (Tales Of) cause his game is getting on switch and he could have a super unique moveset as a ambidextrous swordsman. -Sub-Zero. He'd be cool. Also MK11. -Banjo only on the concept that he could be a rather interesting character. And obviously, the music of all the above.

You all can trust me. Remember how I was one of the few who had faith in Duck Hunt Dog? I have a good track record in regards to animal/bird partnership characters.

I'd prefer Joker's stage to be the Velvet Room but the casino level is awesome anyway. Overall I think I'd prefer the P3 protagonist over Joker, for "gaming history" reasons, but his moveset probably involves a bit too much, uh, shooting himself in the head with a gun.

When I play as an ultra-heavyweight and play against Pikachu, it just skips the match and goes straight to the results screen with Pikachu winning. Anyone else experiencing this glitch?

Bravely default is my guess considering there's a new game or something in the works

My friend in discord posted an interesting idea for the "Brave" character "leak" basically it was that brave is actually a transformation for Joker because they have identical air qualities and as someone with limited knowledge of persona I imagine a concept in which joker can transform to control a persona makes some sense

You could pull a Koopalings with the Bravely Default characters and have two slots per BD1 character. They share general proportions and the job system allows some leeway for homogenization so they can have the same moveset. I don't know if Octopath Traveller could pull off the same thing unless they change outfits for single attacks or something.

Edea is definitely more popular, and she was more frequently used in promotional material. Regardless I'd love a Bravely rep. Just imagine if they could switch jobs and get different moves.

It really depresses me how many characters I don't know in regardless to people taking about who they want in. I didn't know who Erdrick was. And I don't know anyone from Bravely Default. I really need to expand my game knowledge or something.

They're basically Final Fantasy V but not ancient. Maybe even a little better, and I loved FFV.

Bravely Default in gameplay is basically alternate universe FF4 or 6 where it veered off and focused on the class system and pure turn-based gameplay rather than the ATB and characters with different movesets, then got stuck in a time warp and got made on the 3DS instead. It's basically just a Final Fantasy game, although I've only played the first one and didn't finish it. It has crystals, phoenix downs, it's more like a new-old Final Fantasy game now that the newer ones have gone full action-RPG.

the best part about bravely default for smash is the job system and how they could use that for all of the moves. its similar to robin & joker(probably) but even crazier i feel.

I'd love to see the job system represented if they were willing to make all of the costumes for it. I could see it either changing your specials, or being a Shulk/Robin hybrid where the properties of your moves and/or stats change depending on what job you have selected.
