Postal Dude confirmed?
The more I look over the roster, and compare it to who I played in Smash4, the more I miss one very specific thing from Smash4...
... I wish I could play just one of Pokemon Trainer's team, with a proper down-B. Charizard had some shenanigans with rock smash, and the other two getting their own moves would be great too.
Honestly that'd be a great reason to implement Echo Fighters for each of Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon. They could even be themed to justify their different move and given some tiny changes like a new entry animation and palettes.
Baby Squirtle: palettes are accessories equipped like ribbons, flowers, cutesy things. Think of a Pokemon bred to enter Little Cup. No idea what it's move could be
Wild Ivysaur: Palettes are items you might find on a wild Pokemon; Silver Powder, Poison Barb, Quick Claw, Mushroom, Shed Skin, Nugget, King's Rock, etc. New move could be Synthesis, similar to Wii Fit's down special where timing it right lets you start recovering health.
Mega Charizard: the only one with a whole new model, based on it's previous final Smash. 'New' move is obviously Rock Smash.
What really should have been done was changing Transform to Shield+B like with Inkling's Refill, thereby freeing up Down-B for Rock Smash/other moves.
they shouldve just made it so you could do this from the CSS.
Air changing gives PT so much versatility that is not even funny.
A balanced team is the way to go in Pokemon, BTW.
One of the stupidest things that makes me laugh is on normal gaur plains. If Ken is 3P or 4P (forgot) his intro animation is him just busting out of the bushes yelling HOPE YOUR READY FOR ME or something similar
It looks so fucking creepy like he's been sleeping in the bushes waiting for his chance.
leak is fake, faith in banjo restored!
yeah i know im late you meatwads :/
banjo4life
May the Banjo hype live on till he is deconfirmed!
small brain: banjo
pan-galactic brain: MSI Gaming Dragon

Honestly the only thing that would catch me off guard would be something like Mickey Mouse, i don't know.
I keep expecting at least one of the characters to be something completely unexpected that isn't necessarily game related.
imagine we get the icon, the legend, MicroMan as a playable character complete with Computer stage and boss hazard

Real talk, I honestly think I'd be cool with it if Scrooge McDuck made it in alongside a Ducktales Moon themed stage.
TBH I don't see anything Disney related coming to Smash and it mainly has to do with the deal Nintendo has with Universal making movies and theme park rides based on their properties.

It's a shame that everyone here is wrong. And I have the proof. But you didn't get this from me.

Wow, blurry vision is confirmed??!?!!?
no no no this cant be happening it was supposed to be geno
i wouldn't let the park/movie deal rule anything out, really.
it's all different rights, and if nintendo wanted to add disney IP to smash, be it something sensible like sora or something out there like mickey, they're not going to let a film/park deal stop that, and disney's not going to say no to them just for working with universal, considering they bought marvel even with universal having theme park/hulk film rights.
Another cool thing about World of Light that may be obvious but idc;
Galeem's theme seems to only use the first half of the main verse in 'Lifelight', while Dharkon only uses the second half of the main verse. That is, if Lifelight is an ABABA... structure, then both Galeem and Dharkon only use parts of B. This is the same thing for both the Light Realm and Dark Realm themes, which match their respective bosses.
The main chorus of Lifelight - the A section - only shows up in the combined Galeem/Dharkon boss theme, which was mentioned before.

As long as the people who use the mod don't start shitting on the vanilla people, I'm fine with mods.
Not gonna happen, is it?
I'm reminded of a thread of people in response to a tweet saying"Here's a mod that makes Smash 4 play like Melee!!" In which they all responded with "We modded X Game to play just like Melee!" Ala the Skyrim port meme.
We could get an actual Melee HD port and someone out there would STILL try to mod it into the original Melee.
I'd be hugely fuckin upset but I've never had an issue with splatoon 2 hacking yet so here's hoping.
A mod that appeals to a niche of a niche really.
I think if most people just want to play a game that feels like Melee, they'll just play Melee. It's not exactly hard to do in the days of emulators with netcode.
I'm personally tired of Melee, but in the same vein, that doesn't mean this mod shouldn't exist. Just that I personally don't see the purpose. I'd rather Ultimate be as explored as it possibly can be first, instead of deciding "WE WANT MELEE AND WE WANT IT NOW" only one month after the game has been out.
On a somewhat related topic, I do hope the game has anti cheat. If the game is already able to be modded this much, what's to stop someone with a hacked Switch to mod their game so they can dominate others? The game's online and netcode already infuriates me, so having to deal with that while potentially coming across someone who's modified the game to make themselves into a literal Smash god will probably have me give up on this game outside of playing it with friends.
I honestly feel like some people are somehow hacking already
Remember how I said I got killed by PK Freeze at like 30%? Off the side blast zone? I just found out that you can't set launch power online. So the only possibility I can think of now is hacking.
I've seen multiple clips of Lucas using PK Freeze to edgeguard and hitting people near the ledge, and I am pretty sure that's just how the move works, its really good at killing off the sides. There's also multiple things to consider: rage, DI, stage, and how long was the move charged for.
