having to deal with him and lickers in the same area is fucking balls. to be hearing him lumbering around behind you and not wanting to run so you dont aggro lickers is legit frightening and when he burst out of the wall downstairs made me actually yelp out loud, i wasnt expecting that at all, i thought he was in his randomly walking around mode
REmake2 does everything rather well besides the boss battles being stuck in 1998 which doesn't really work that well
I ended up restarting after a few hours for hardcore cuz I had over 100 bullets, now I'm lucky if I have a full clip in the gun.
Well beat Leons campaign on hardcore. I completely ran out of ammo and had to finish off the final boss with a knife.
The next room I entered after booting up the game today had the upgrade fixing my big complaint with the GL. Was pretty smooth sailing (exception being one gimmick boss fight taking me several deaths), and I finished up Claire's campaign. Run 2 coming up.
I hope they add Gouki as DLC in April.
Leon's run done, I can't not look at that cleft chin when the lighting emphasizes it. Do I do Claire as a normal run or 2nd Run? Then again I didn't check if 2nd Run only applies to the campaign you've beaten.
2nd run is sort of like new game+, from my brief time with it it's slightly cut down for brevity (the playable intro and run to RPD for example is just a quick cutscene) and seems to assume you already played that character's campaign. it's the only way to get TRUE END though so i guess it's a question of whether you want to play the campaign twice or if you literally just want to see the full ending. if you have the time though definitely do the normal campaign then 2nd run
Did leon A followed by claire B. Both on hardcore. 4th survivor is pretty rough but HUNK is a badass
Man these sewers aren't fun.
Made it to the labs as Claire on Hardcore. Outside of the sewers being a particular trouble spot, I've been doing fairly well staying alive. But seriously, I must have died 10 times in the sewers. Also the mandatory stealth section with Sherry kind of sucks; good part is once you know what you're doing it takes like no time at all.
https://youtu.be/6aK78w-st2U running around with no ammo and with mr x chasing you
i pray you don't get cornered and need to stun him
Should I switch our Claire's handgun? I found a high capacity one
if you are doing the no item case run, no. if you aren't, then I think so.
zoomed in on the licker in model viewer, nice attention to detail with the butthole

Is hardcore mode like way frustrating or is it manageable?
It's managable but obviously designed for veterans of the series, there are a few sections where if you didn't save up a nest-egg of supplies youre thoroughly fucked unless you get lucky.
Ugh damn, I don't know which difficulty to pick. I don't want a walk in the park but I don't want to rip my hair out either.
more than manageable if you don't mind a little thinking on what you can keep alive or take a longer way around to conserve ammo
Is there a particular way to find the combinations to these saves and lockers and whatnot or is it just guessing
usually find out the combinations a short while after finding the actual locker, be it a pickup or something in the environment
Just finished my Leon A run, and wow, what a fucking game. I teared up a little when Ada "died", even though I know they didn't. The great voice acting really adds a lot more emotional weight to cutscenes than the robotic acting in the original.
just beat William for the first time as leon, Is there a way back into the police station? I feel like there were a lot of rooms I missed unless they were for Claire.
if you are where i think you are you eventually get a crank or something like that to open back up the route that closed when you went under the statue, from your side
Fun, quite polished aside from few technical issues that they seem to have done fuck all to fix from RE7, runs well looks great etc etc.. Ultimately however I think I liked RE7 better. RE2RE is not very challenging and not at all scary IMO. Thats not to say its bad, at all, but I think RE7 is a better survival horror game. They engine they developed is great, so hopefully if they decide to do another remake with RE3 (I'm guessing yes, pending the probably fantastic sales of this) hopefully after that they will go back to doing original material.
Mr. X is the first enemy I have ever encountered in a game that legitimately scares me. When I see him I know it's time to fucking run.
The knife is legit the best weapon in the game. It does pretty good damage and the stagger potential can let you stunlock bosses for a short time.
It's amazing against lickers. You can stunlock them to death with it, at least on normal
