Resident Evil Franchise Megathread V.1 "WHY'D HE BITE ME?!"

does anyone know how the hell to charge the spark shot? nothing i press seems to charge it.
I really hope there's a cheat or mod or trainer that'll put all the starting pistols from all playthroughs in your storage at the start so you can use whatever you want
... oh no, I didn't eliminate that licker in the police station. I'm gonna regret that, aren't I?
Which one?
The first one you encounter before you head to STARS office. Now I just found another lurking by the Safety Deposits Room
Caved in, bought the game (first full priced game I bought in years so that's something :v) and have been enjoying it immensely. Stopped on 5 hour mark, progressed to Sewers, just after it switches from Ada back to Leon so far.God, this game is one hell of a ride.
Btw, at one point I died and the game recommended me Assisted and as I was quickly skipping through windows, I accidently confirmed it. Can that be switched back? Seems really dumb that the default option for that window would be Yes without any way to switch back afterwards.
I believe you can change the difficulty on the You Are Dead screen but I'm not sure on it.
Mr. X is going to be the mainstream standout from this game isn't he? I'm already seeing people not into the game making memes of him
Considering that the police station has very obvious Nemesis damage, and they brought back gunpowder I'd say Nemesis is coming
Nemesis is cool, and as a kid Nemesis was actually my favorite and I played that game a lot and still do, but Mr. X sort of has that simplistic less is more quality. He's more subdued and low profile and I feel like it makes him more scary thus his rising popularity as of late. His time will come again if they do end up making R3make I'm sure they'll adapt him to exploit modern game design as well as the new X. At the height of his popularity, we got Nemesis featured in a Hollywood movie and I'm sure most people outside the gaming subculture are more likely to recognize Nemesis over Mr. X.
Nemesis is going to be much scarier than Mr. X because that fucker can run, has long reach thanks to the tentacles and a fucking Rocket Launcher.
Really not liking how zombies can tank 5-6 headshots.
nothing has given me a panic attack quite like watching mr x just waltz into the main hall as if its fucking nothing
This Birkin G2 fight is ruining the game for me. Literally every time I hit the switch for the crane to come back he just does the stupid grab move and he turns of a fucking dime. Doesn't help that if you're 1mm into the danger zone when the crane comes back the game goes "Lol fuck you" andlocks you into a death cutscene, doesn't matter if you're actively moving out of the way.
I've been stuck on this literally all day and it's fucking infuriating.
On my Claire A run I was spooked as fuck about Mr.X I'd hide and just patiently watch him from a safe distance ot fuck off from an area, on my Leon B run I just didn't give a fuck and intentionally lead him on a merry go round just so I can push those bookshelves together among other hijinks.
You do realize you're supposed to stun him before activating the switch right? If you do that, he'll stay down and still long enough for the crane to come back.
A little hard to do when I have to knock him off three times and I only have two flash grenades. He just walks right through flame and acid rounds.
Shoot him in either of the glowing eye things. A few shots there stuns him.
A few is a serious under estimation.
Three times? I guess they made that boss fight easier on 2nd story, he went down after 2 hits with the crane when I fought him earlier today
What helped me was using the blue + green herb combo so you take less damage and baiting his big attacks that are more easily dodgable
Once he does his recovery animations or turns around you can try to hit his eye pretty well
I had a pretty intense encounter with Mr X. I was at the part where you gotta move the bookcases in the library, and X came in. I hid behind the bookcase in the middle of the room, and walked circles around it, staying out of his line of sight. I kept this up for like 3 or 4 minutes until he finally left. It was especially terrifying when he went upstairs and I could hear his loud footsteps above me. I was praying he wouldn't jump down from the railing.
I fucked myself by leaving lickers in 3 fucking hallways alive and now I have to go through there to grab stuff while having Mr X on my ass WHILE me not making any noise to trigger the lickers AND attracting Mr. X. Holy shit this is intense.
Also I got scared to shit when Mr. X burst through a wall because I though he didn't do that anymore.
speaking of Mr X i would have liked it if he put up more of a fight when he dies in Claire's scenario, i thought it was pretty lame how Birkin (who's at like Phase 1 at this point) just utterly rocks him in one shot. or maybe if Birkin still had to finish him off even after he got cut in half, that would have been rad.
His attack hitbox in that fight is fucking shit, it can hit you even when the attack doesn't visually connect.
Just beat Leon's campaign, what a ride from start to finish. Excellent remake and a stellar game in it's own right, bravo Capcom.
Also Super Tyrant's boss theme was incredible
I liked the music but I wish they kept that distinct part of the original music when you fight G, with whatever instrument it is, I'm not sure what it's called.
If you hit him hard enough for his damage stun to occur, you can down him in just one crane use and get an achievement for it. It all depends on how much you weaken him before the crane slams in, which means a lot of ammo down the drain if you're not careful.
