Other than the beginning of RE7, how have we not had a game where the chasing monster badass is just yelling incoherently at you the whole time, talking shit.
Can't wait for the inevitable R3Make and have to change my pants every few minutes when Nemesis is chasing you. They better get the "STARS" just right.
I'm pretty new to the series, just beat Leons campaign and im about half way through Claires. I'm absolutely loving the game and it's got me itching for more survival horror. I'm just curious how RE7 holds up in comparison to RE2? Is it worth going back to check it out?
RE7 is phenomenal, but feels very tech-demo-y, not a lot of enemy variety, and a lot of sections just kinda glued together at the end. A shitload of fun though
funnily enough, i forget about the canister every time and just shoot it to death on instinct

Managed to be 20 minutes quicker (Would've been more if I hadn't died like 3 times to G3) than with Leon AND didn't touch the item box at all. Next time I'll try to do hardcore again but I'm afraid I won't be able to do it any time soon
Quick question about the Mr. Raccoon collectibles: Do I have to get as much as possible in one run (I'm aware you can't get them all in one route) or can I load a save if I missed one and then reload another save to continue?
Can we get a mod to replace Leon with Hunk, too?
Problem is most monsters in RE games aren't capable of thinking or speaking. RE7 was great because we had Jack. I hope the next few games really work on villains and enemies to make them their own characters rather than just monsters that snarl. For example, Mr. X is really effective because he has so much characterization in how he moves. He's a big, lumbering badass who will destroy everyone and everything in his path. He clearly moves with purpose rather than acting from instinct, and his actions are evident of that. The next game needs to just mash Mr. X and Jack together for the ultimate shit-talking juggernaut.
He does seem sentient, but my question is, if he is, why can't he run?
His leather pants are too tight.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the new tech was one of the main reasons they wanted to make the jump to first person. A lot of the beginning seems like they were trying to show off the engine's capabilities. But that's fine, it's a stellar game either way.
RE7 was great, even if it lacked enemy variations and a disappointing final boss.
Yeah, but where are the other four?
I remember something that bothered me way more significantly than it probably should have was when your character is subjected to horrific injury and doesn't emote very much. It really stuck out to me for some reason.
Do the wooden boards last permanently?

I'm sad Mr.X doesn't pick up his hat once you shoot it off. Priorities man, get it together.
Yes. They should have programmed it that if you shoot his hat off, he'll get real pissed off and starts to sprint ala Nemesis.
This can't be luck man, I swear to god every time I start feeling like I have leftover ammo the game decides zombies will take two or three headshots to flinch, or two reloads to actually kill it.
Why the hell is there 2?

It seems the game has a sort of adaptive difficulty. Enemies seem to be taking more damage when players are doing well, while players not doing so hot find themselves dealing more damage. My guess is that the game tried to spawn a Mr. X cornering him off because the system does secretly teleport him around occasionally, but forgot to despawn the Mr. X left outside, so the game glitched out and didn't despawn either of them.
Tofu's music is fucking awesome.
Guys, guys, guys. Please help me confirm this. I'm playing Leon 1st playthrough on Hardcore and I've noticed a pattern with how zombies take damage. Specifically, it really feels like if you kneecap a zombie and then leave it alone for 20 minutes or so (I'm not sure if it's actually time-based or event-based) when you come back to it later it will be extremely vulnerable to headshots. I've had around 5 zombies I *only* kneecapped and left alone and after coming back to them they all died to 1 or 2 headshots. If I try to headshot them right after the kneecap they take upward of 5-6 headshots if not more. So now the question is, is it possible that there is a sort of "bleedout" mechanic for zombies whereas getting injuries will damage them over time when left alone, making them vulnerable to a finish later on?
Never knock off his hat. Never.
Does the steady shot really even help? It doesn't seem to increase damage or crit chance.
is this a feature or a bug? I'm genuinely concerned.
